Cutest little toy shoppe. When we visit Hood River we come here to let our son pick out a toy after our wild adventures. It’s the perfect spot for our kid to be a little boy again. They create magic with decorations and an upstairs and downstairs level. They have a magnificent book section and a lot of local selections. For example, we purchased a book called “Good night Oregon”. Staff and owner extremely friendly. We love investing in this little place on the main drag of Hood River.

G. Willikers is the best! This is our go to shop for birthday gifts. They have a wide range of toys for all age levels and interests, their staff is super helpful, and they offer free gift wrapping!

G Willikers!, they have something for everyone from babies to adults. Educational non-toys for lame parents and everything good too! Those Lego sets are looking pretty good to me.

One of THE BEST toy stores I've ever been in! Amazing selection of all sizes and prices. Good quality items, fun items, and such a variety! My son and I loved looking at everything and had to go back the next day to pick up another item. If you're even in the Portland area, take the time to head out to Hood River and stop at this great toy store. Nothing in Portland like this shop! We took the CAT bus out and stayed at Oak Street Hotel. What a fun mini vaca!

Okay this place is the absolute best, huge shout out to Fiona and Sarah for being super nice and amazing. They wrapped our gift up with a little package that was so perfect and beautiful. They even gave us a little bit of slime that they had extra lying around. Absolutely recommended. Please give both of these people a raise immediately.

This was our son's favorite toy shop when he was young. It's still charming and full of books, classic toys, games and new toys. Service is always friendly and on point. Prices are fair, and when your child is happily engaged in the toy, book, or game, you know the value. We'll always return for the memories and for the children in our lives. Sweet place.

this store is so cute! my partner and i loved taking our kiddos here. they have such a nice selection of plushies, legos, figures (we love the dinosaurs!). they also have a book selection downstairs & they offer gift wrapping for you too! we have come here many times & always leave feeling happy. the people who work here have always been so sweet! i do wish the price of jellycat brand stuffed animals was more affordable, although that's not in their control as that brand is expensive everywhere you go.

What a great toy shop! They have a large variety of both educational & just-for-fun toys, games, books, puzzles & plush animals for a wide age range of baby through teens and beyond. I was particularly impressed with all their board games for both young and older. And they have a downstairs, too, so from the outside it doesn't look nearly as big as it really is. The store is very well organized and tidy, and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. I thought their prices were very reasonable, and either the same as what I've seen at other retailers or the price was actually lower in some instances. We don't even have kids and we thoroughly enjoyed checking this place out.

Gee Willikers, what a great store! An old fashioned toy store in the heart of Hood River, they have retro toys like blocks and trucks and board games plus modern toys and of course legos, puzzles and books. Even kites which are perfect for Hood River with all of the wind. The variety is impressive and the toys span ages and price points, so something for everyone. From the outside the store looks small but it's two stories and contains quite a lot. As mandated by state law - not some random request of the owners - masks are required to enter. Hand sanitizer is provided, a good precaution since customers typically pick up and handle the items. I appreciate their diligence during these never ending Covid days.

Such a fun place, I know I reviewed this.. yet it wasnt, always the same account, maybe it didnt load due to reception!! Ok here is the meat, its 2 stories of a toy store.. Could end it there, but come on. It's got stuffies, books, bruder, bryer, just about it all... now I'll tell ya, quality and you'll pay for it. Italso has a large slew of items on the lesser price point end that will get your smiles per dollar value. Photos tell a thousand words, and ya know what... I posted alot! What a charming place!! So many cute shops in downtown Hood River and wouldn't you know of COURSE there is one for the littles! I am a mom of two, and while I love supporting local businesses, I still price check between that big online retailer and the store I go to. The prices on EVERY item I looked at, and I bought quite a lot, was the same here in store OR LESS. Nothing was more expensive. It was a no brainer to buy my kids a couple is cute gifts from here. I got my son a watch and my daughter a Charm It necklace with 3 charms to start her off. They have a GREAT in store selection of charms and I was glad we found it because I got to see the quality. Definitely recommend this place to ANY person shopping for kids. Loads of cute stuff for any kid in your life!

This toy shop brings back so much childhood nostalgia! The second you walk in, you're greeted by a menagerie of unique toys for all ages!! From LEGOs, books, and plush, to cars, dolls, and fidget toys. This place has it all! They even have a bunch of vintage styled toys/games that many adults grew up with as children. What I love most about the shop is the wide selection of board games and squishy fidgets. I'm a big fan of Nee Doh brand toys and this is one of the only stores in the gorge that has a wide selection of them. The whole shop is colorful and fun to explore. If you're in downtown Hood River and have some extra time to look around, this needs to be at the top of your list.

Do not support this store. I have been a long time customer as someone who has lived seasonal in and out of Hood River for a long time and has kids. We were driving through today and my kids were excited to stop at their favorite toy store in town they haven't been to since summer. They offered me a mask which was more of a demand and were completely rude. My son and I both have confirmed medical exemptions. They are totally discriminatory. I decided to leave and won't be back. It's too bad too.. I planned to buy a couple of gifts. I guess they are ok with a loss in revenue for their small business over their complete insanity. I left quietly with my kids while they had crazy smirks on their faces. If you support freedom and travel to Hood River, leave this one out.

G Willikers is my all time favorite toy store. I visited there in June and was impressed by the fact that they offered hand sanitizer and required masks for customers and employees. I was happy that safety over sales was their first concern. Not only do they have the best selection of toys at any store I've ever been to, I appreciate the cheerfulness of the staff and willingness to go the extra mile. I live three hours from Hood River, but G Willikers is my first stop when I get to town.

I make it a point to stop in with the kids regularly because this place is so much fun. Outstanding toy and book curation. We never leave empty handed.

Went here as an adult looking for puzzles and I was surprised by the amount of things that I came out with! The prices are fair and they have things for everyone.

I hope this is not an example of all businesses in the area and their handling of the current climate. I know people are scared, but is it really necessary to call the police when your customer doesn't use hand sanitizer? Last time I checked that's not part of any mandate... customer service seems like a thing of the past these days. Businesses like these are so entitled and ungrateful for their customers.

I wanted to enjoy this place more a more than I did. There were two or three people working the front desk that were watching and laughing over a YouTube video. It was very distracting.

Great toy shop in downtown Hood River. Don't shortchange yourself and miss the downstairs which is filled with games, books and a great reading area.

Really nice/cute toystore that my kids wanted to spend all day in. It's actually quite large - they have an entire first floor plus a full basement of goodies. A huge variety of toys and books - you could spend hours looking at everything. I ended up buying a kite for a very reasonable price. We'll definitely visit again next year when we're back in town.

This is a great toy store. It's bigger then you would think thanks to the downstairs area. It has a good combination of the latest and greatest hot toys, but also a great selection of classic games and toys. They had a lot of retro/classic versions of games. They have a good lego selection, books, games, and all kind of toys. They do a good job of having items at different price points. Fun place!

What a totally awesome toy store!!! They have something for every kid...from newborn to 99 years old! Books, old school games, candy...I saw so many things that I played with as a kid as well as things my kids played with. I know where my grandchildren will be getting Christmas presents from this year! They have two levels of shopping and the downstairs is bigger than the upstairs! They don't have an internet store but they will allow you to place phone orders and they will ship your gifts...They were nice people to talk to and I look forward to shopping with them. They have restrooms...you have to get the key at the front desk.

Super cute toy store in the middle of Hood River's Downtown. The minute we walked in we got greeted and asked if we were looking for anything specific (we weren't, we just saw a toy store and *HAD* to go in). This will become a must-stop in Hood River. Loved their selection of toys and can't beat their service-oriented attitude. Thank you!

Really wonderful place to visit! The store has wonderful items and super friendly staff! My kids love the store and the items are all reasonably priced! Everything looks so fun, educational and just plain awesome! There is something for everyone! Games, puzzles, books, dolls, trucks and the list goes on and on and on!!! You'll feel like a kid again and that makes it hard to leave!!!

I've lived nearby for 2.5 years and FINALLY braved G Willikers with kids in tow (I really wanted to go ALONE, hahaha). It was the most fun I've had in a while! I loved it! They had such an amazing collection of EVERYTHING. It's pricey, but you're getting high quality brands. We bought a kite, a book, a puzzle, and a toy car. We also got plenty of ideas to go back for. I'm definitely skipping Amazon and doing our birthday and Christmas shopping at G Willikers. Happy to support a local/small business. The employee I spoke with at check out was so helpful and calm with my kiddos. She double checked that I wanted everything and a child hadn't snuck anything in. I had 3 kiddos with me at the time (2, 4, and 8). Just be aware that there isn't much space for a stroller and there isn't an elevator to get downstairs, so probably leave the stroller and opt for a carrier. I wish I had. We made it work though.

Cute toy store. 2 floors with a lil of everything. Nice book areas. Lots of board games. As seen on TV toys and plush stuffed toys. Some candy and craft toys. Bring the kids or come by yourself...I did!! Lol

This place is AMAZING! We were visiting the area earlier this week and were thrilled to find this place! Not only is it a catchy name but the store has some great toys that brought back a lot of fond memories of similar items we played with as children. And, our daughter had a wonderful set of Calico Critters as a child (she is now 27 years young) and had thought they were no longer made. We found them at G.Williker's and they are just as cute as they were so many years ago. If you're in the area or happen to be traveling along the Columbia River, I would highly recommend this store. It's fun, has a great selection of toys, games and books, and the prices are reasonable.

One of the best toy stores I've been in. Every time our family stops in, we find some toy or book that we haven't seen before. They have a variety of toys that are available to try out and the staff is friendly. It may be possible to find slightly lower prices online, but we prefer to shop here to support a local business.

Cute toy store located in downtown Hood River. A bit over priced, but that is to be expected since it is smack dab in the city center. My brother loves getting their cool toys from here, including a ball that changes colors when thrown in the air.

This is probably the nicest independent top shop in the state of Oregon! It has a fantastic selection, including the usual brands you find at similar toy shops, plus a bunch of extra surprises. The large game section and wide range of kids' books were especially exciting. Prices are in-line with similar stores. Don't miss the downstairs part-- the staircase is tucked away, but half of the store or more is in the basement level.
