"Watching the river flow by with a margarita in hand is one of the best ways to while away an afternoon in San Antonio, and at Casa Rio, you can do just that. The restaurant’s colorful umbrellas have lined the River Walk since 1946, providing a postcard-perfect backdrop for sampling enchiladas, flautas, fajitas, and, of course, icy-cold margaritas. The oldest restaurant on the riverfront, Casa Rio is beloved for its authentic Tex-Mex cuisine, but its real charm lies in its ambience. Request an outdoor table and let your worries float away with the river. Just be sure to decide between frozen and on the rocks first."

Dinner at Casa Rio is a total must! It’s a right of passage to eat at a cheesy Tex Mex spot right on the water! It’s basically the Riverwalk’s grandparent. I played chef and ordered a shrimp bowl with rice and cheese (highly recommend) and, because this is San Antonio, we hired a mariachi band to serenade us right at the table. And absolutely, it made the meal taste even better. Service was almost too fast! I was enjoying my time!

Good Mexican singers and the food is awesome. Exactly beside the Riverwalk. Service is really good too. I notice that older white Americans love this place because it gives them a nostalgic sensation of the good old days.

We grabbed lunch at the oldest restaurant on the riverwalk! It was so beautiful to sit right on the water! Chris gave us excellent service. The food was tasty. Definitely grab a bite here!

Outdoor dining right by Riverwalk. The vibe is good, the service was fine besides the limited English with the waiters. Asked them how big the plates/servings are and they only replied with "It's Healthy" 🤦‍♂️ the food was cafeteria-level at best. We ordered half the menu and it was essentially the same 5-6 "Mexican" food combos. Shrimp tacos was good and everything else was on the level of Taco Bell.

First time here. The Riverwalk views give it a great atmosphere, and the margaritas were strong. The service was solid, but the food was just average. Overall, this place is more about the Riverwalk experience than the dining.

After waiting 51 minutes for our cold bland food, most of us had filled up on chips. Salsa: more like chopped canned tomatoes. Guacamole was decent. Tacos not worth the price. Husband said street tacos were terrible. To me, it looked like stewed meat from a can covered in sauce. If you want real good Mexican food, then do yourself a favor: go to Guajillo's off 410. We came here because family came to San Antonio and stayed at a hotel on the Riverwalk and chose this place. Kids enjoyed the chicken strips and fries.

We decided to get a margarita here and we weren’t sure if we wanted to eat. The hostess Rebecca was also our waitress and she was very friendly and quick. They offered a flight of margarita’s which we decided to try. I highly recommend this. They have quite a show delivering it on a lit up airplane. The margaritas were good and it was a great way to try different flavors. We also ate off the appetizer menu and got the trio which included chips, queso, guacamole and salsa. It was very good and we couldn’t eat it all. We really enjoyed the food and drinks. We didn’t pick up our phones because we were busy talking about the different flavors of the food and drink.

I've been wanting to eat here the past few times I've been to the San Antonio Riverwalk and I finally did! Yay, the colorful umbrellas! I got the street tacos and my son got kids chicken with rice and beans. The salsa was not bad, the tortilla chips were good, my tacos were pretty tasty, the rice and beans were okay, and my son ate some of his food. He drank all of his white milk and my horchata was great; not too sweet! The atmosphere (we ate outside right by the water) was amazing, the service (Matthew) was good, and the only sad part was watching mother nature being unfair. Overall it didn't cost too much, we had a one of a kind experience, and I'm glad I can now say I've been here!

Yelp
Great spot to eat at the Riverwalk. It's our go to whenever we are at the Riverwalk. Best bang for your buck. Although the now charge for chips and salsa.  Our meals came out fast and as good as always. We lucked out this Friday and got seated right away. It varies what time of year you go and what time of day. They didn't take our pic like the usually do this time tho. Maybe it was because it was a little bit of a slow time of day. Anyway- like I said- with all the crazy expensive places to eat at at the Riverwalk- this place is reasonably priced and has good food.

Yelp
This is a landmark restaurant in San Antonio Riverwalk, so we had to patio dine here (again)... This time, I had Chalupa Combo, and my husband had Chile Relleno. I think I just tried a mocktail, but can't remember the name. Despite the colorful patio with a scenic view of the bridge, the foods were mediocre. I did not like my Chalupa at all...barely ate it. Luckily, my husband really enjoyed his Chile Relleno...thought it was really good. I also thought my mocktail was mediocre...just kinda blahhh and watery? Still, thanks to the gorgeous views, it was well worth it! If based strictly on foods, I'd rate it about 2, but the views bumped it up to 3 stars!

Yelp
My fam just newly moved back to SA so we had to go to The a Riverwalk , especially since our son had not remembered it. It's had become a tradition to eat at Casa Rio everytime we go there. So of course we went. Now it heads been a few years since our last time in SA, but they now charge for Chips and Salsa. The salsa is still very good. don't know if their menu got smaller? But we were able to find something different for each of us to try so no duplicate plates on our table of 3. We are seated indoors quickly, service was quite fast in general. Food was still good- the prices were very reasonable - esp for being in the tourist zone. We will continue to go here whenever family and friends come to visit and we take them to the Riverwalk! PS- extra half star for offering a military discount too- thank you!

Yelp
If you're on the hunt for great Tex mex in San Antonio, this is not your spot. Ambiance feels like an authentic Mexican restaurant. We sat outside right on the riverwalk, which was very pretty at night. They had a mariachi band, but they were going table by table asking if you wanted a song (for a price) which I felt was tacky and the restaurant should just hire them to play as free entertainment for patrons. Service: our server was good and food came out fairly quickly. Drinks: My husband and I got frozen flavored margaritas. They were a bit small and didn't really taste any alcohol, but they were also pretty cheap ($11). Food: Food was majorly disappointing. We started with chips and queso and it was nothing to write home about. I ordered Al pastor street tacos that came with beans and rice. The Al pastor was just not flavorful, a bit dry, and could have used some other toppings / sauce. Beans and rice were ok. My husband got the el rio with a beef enchilada, chicken taquito, and tamale. The tamale was ok, but the taquito was bland, and enchilada missing something. We ordered my son the kids grilled chicken with rice and refried beans and he loved it though.

Yelp
We came here for lunch over the weekend and really enjoyed our experience! Upon arriving we had a very short wait time and got a table right on the water!! Our server was very kind and was able to answer any questions we had! Overall service was prompt!! We all enjoyed our meals, and felt that the portions were very generous. All of the food arrived made to order and was super tasty! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here! It was such a pleasant experience to have lunch right on the water. I would definitely recommend trying Casa Rio if you are in the area!!

Yelp
Casa Rio is the oldest restaurant on the River Walk, or that's what the boat tours kept saying as they motored by our outside table. We swung through SA and wanted to show our daughter the River Walk. Casa Rio was the restaurant we both remembered eating at with our parents, so we opted to keep the tradition going. It was a weekday and a little past lunch rush, so we had no issue immediately getting a table on the water. I've been told the wait can get lengthy at peak hours, especially during high season for tourists. FYI The food isn't exceptional but it'll scratch that itch. Most of the dishes we ordered were a little bland on seasoning, but if you're just looking for a pile of fajitas and a margarita, you should be fine. Their outside seating is dog friendly to boot. They brought out water bowls for tableside dogs which I thought was a nice touch. Service was meh. Our waiter forgot a couple things from our initial order, corrected the mistakes, but left us waiting for half our lunch after already eating the other half. He would also ask if we needed anything, we'd ask for something, then he'd disappear for 10+ minutes doing his rounds before circling back remembering what we asked for, then finally running to grab it. Just seemed like he was going through the motions and not really present. Long story short, this is not the greatest Tex-Mex/Mexican food in San Antonio, but if you're looking for a true tourist checkbox to tick off, eating at Casa Rio on the river is most likely high up on the list.

Yelp
Going to the Riverwalk in San Antonio is a very 'tourist-y' thing to do when one visits the city. So, expect to see plenty of tourists. However, a lot of locals are there, too. I think the difference is the locals know what to expect because we've experienced the disappointment of Riverwalk dining before. I'm traveling on business and Wonder Wife decided to come spend the weekend with me, which is a lot like having an angel appear in your presence. She'd never been to the Riverwalk, so that was an obvious choice. When it comes to dining on the river, there are basically two choices - mediocre food one can afford, or pretty good food one can't. The nice thing about Casa Rio is there's a ton of seating, and we got to sit next to the water without a wait (at about 7PM). We tossed chips to the ducks and got our picture taken by wandering photographer who gave us a so-so free print and sold us a couple of higher quality/larger prints. Again, typical tourist thing, but we enjoyed it. The bad thing about Casa Rio is the food. The chips were surprisingly good and the salsa is not bad, either (but, they're not complimentary). But, you can make MUCH better queso at home using Velveeta and Ro-tel, so skip it here. The tamale was thick and dry, the enchilada was barely warm and the rice/beans were forgettable. The taco meat was good, but the shell was too thick and not very crunchy. The guacamole was okay, but if you want guac, go up to street level, cross over and hit Chipotle. It's far superior. If you want a nice time enjoying the ambiance of the river, then this is not a bad place to hang out. Maybe just have some margaritas (I don't know if they're any good; we both had iced tea) and kick back. I'd eat somewhere else, though. One great thing about Casa Rio is the price point. It was very inexpensive. Having said that, I'd have gladly paid more for better food.

Yelp
Came to Casa Rio on the recommendation of my girl's brother, who came here in the past. It's pretty easy to spot on the river walk and there's just a ton of seating. Even with that, you may still need to wait 20 or so mins, but at least they'll text you when the table is ready. We opted for the outdoor seating instead of indoors, which is definitely the preferred choice if you can. Casa Rio is a long time staple of San Antonio and I think I can get why that is. The food is fairly solid. Not the best, but also not the absolute worst. With that said, one oddity is knowing that chips and salsa did not come free of charge. That was weird. Even when we got them, they were kinda okay. Wasn't anything special, but it's chips & salsa. There are a few vegetarian options here. I ordered one of the few... the veggie enchiladas. I opted for the plate and it was a generous portion. It looks like the enchilada was made with a little bit of Santa Anna sauce.... I wish there was an option for verde. I also think it's a bit too cheesy, but I'm also being picky. I got the spicy margarita, which was a good choice to wash out the food. I don't think this is the best option in town, but it can be a decent one to satisfy any immediate cravings. It's also a slight tourist trap, but unavoidable too.

Yelp
Came for dinner to meet a friend and as they were from out of town, they wanted some tex mex in the Riverwalk and choose this place. We ordered the chips with queso/guac/salsa, beef and chicken "fajita" and some other dishes. The queso/guac/salsa was pretty good, large portions and good price, especially for being on the riverwalk. But the fajitas were hands down the worst I've ever had. The menu says it comes sizzling, yet it came on a plate and not even hot. Lettuce/pico/guac/cream portions were tiny and the tortillas tasted store bought. The beef was tough and chicken cold. The server was friendly and attentive, and location on the Riverwalk is great, but the food was a major disappointment for us.

Yelp
Wonderful lunch on the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk with my daughter. We started with the Street Corn, which is served as an appetizer which comes with tortilla chips. Putting a spoon full of the corn onto the chip made for a delicious bite. The seasonings, cheese, fresh herbs, and jalapeños mixed with the roasted corn was full of flavors and textures that simply worked well together. Highly recommend! For entrees, my daughter got the chicken flautas plate and I got the Rio plate which came with a chicken flauta, a beef enchilada and a pork tamale. The tamale was the top item on my plate- the flavor of the masa was unlike any I've had anywhere else- absolutely delicious and perfectly complimented the well seasoned pork filling. I could have eaten a whole dozen of them myself. The beef enchilada was very good- the beef filling had a very good flavor and the sauce and perfectly melted cheese made for a damn tasty enchilada. Finally the flautas...while they were not bad, they did not meet the same level of flavoring as the fillings of the enchilada and the tamale, the flavor was slightly bland and a little on the dry side. Of course, the obligatory rice and beans were good and are always a solid compliment to Mexican fare.

Yelp
This was the oldest restaurant at the riverwalk. Amazing outside seating area by the riverwalk and a waitlist suggested we chose right. The service was pretty quick as well, as there was a regular trickling of customers in and out as you would expect in a tourist hot spot. But the food was so underwhelming that it left us very disappointed. My fajitas were cold and bland and so were the other food items we ordered (El Rio, Al pastor). I would not recommend this place for food, but only if you want to just sit by the riverwalk for a drink or two as its ambiance is pretty lit.

Yelp
I chose this resturant since it's been around for a very long time ni believe it's known for the colorful umbrellas on the riverwalk. First, I've NEVER been to a Mexican resturant where I have to pay for chips and salsa. It's pretty much a given. The chips tasted like bagged chips I'd buy at the grocery store. The salsa didn't taste fresh. More like jar salsa in my opinion. I ordered the taco salad with shrimp. I asked for the shrimp to be well cooked. It wasn't. The lettuce was stuff so tightly in the taco shell that it was hard to get out. It had a dollop of guacamole that looked and tasted like the premade ones I see at the store. It did not taste fresh to me. It also had a large pinch of cheddar cheese that tasted like it came from a bag. Overall nothing tasted like authentic Mexican food to me. The dressing in a plastic take away container totally cheapens all of it. The server was ok. He didn't smile at all u less he was talking to all the other employees just standing around. This place was a one and done for me. This is all my opinion.

Yelp
Thanks to Casa Rio, had an amazing birthday dinner on the River Walk. There was a long wait-time so we gave the name and went for a walk along the river walk. This restaurant seems to have a lot of history, probably one of the oldest restaurants in the River walk. Loved the menu variety, ambiance and inclusivity with vegetarian dishes. My order: Street corn 5/5 Mango margarita 5/5 Veggie enchilada 4/5 Chips and Guacamole 5/5 Started off with the street corn and it was an amalgam of spices with fresh corn with a hint of lime, loved it. Followed by a nice creamy guacamole, I wish they did a live guac counter. The enchiladas were great and not too soggy tortillas. Loved the tacos and enchiladas. The margarita was good quality as well. Perfect birthday!

Yelp
Lovely riverside restaurant with delicious Mexican food. There are people that come by and take your picture with a camera and print it out for you, making it a memorable place to eat! It's more lively sitting outside but the inside is nice and a little quieter too. The service was nice and accommodating. I got the enchiladas and they were so great!! It also made a wonderful first date spot :)

Yelp
Great freshly made Tex-Mex food. After several bad experiences on the riverwalk, we were so happy to find this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Yelp
My wife and I needed a little something to get us to dinner so we stopped at Casa Rio. I had the Chili Con Carne (small), and my wife had a small chicken meal. I also ordered the chips and salsa. Our waiter was average at best. Our chips arrived after our food (and we had to ask for it). My chili was pretty good, my wife enjoyed her food. There is definitely room for improvement with service. Food was still decent and I'd stop again if I was in San Antonio.
google avatar

Yelp
Had to try the first restaurant by the river, food was ok and so was service. Had enough chicken but I think more onions and peppers would have been to what I am used to in other restaurants but but but in San Anton by the river I will take it just fine, location makes a difference
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
It's by the river walk, almost like a must-visit touristy spot. But other than that, the food is so meh. The whole experience can be compared to Colorado's Casa Bonita. I'd say, go anywhere in San Antonio for better tacos (preferably one of those open 24-hrs joints) and just come WALK the riverwalk!
google avatar

Noor A.

Yelp
Decided to try the shrimp fajitas, chips, and salsa. The food, ambiance, and service were great. Food came out quickly and was tasty.
google avatar

Danny N.

Yelp
I grabbed a bite to eat here while visiting in the area. The server was extremely friendly and tentative. I liked that they had seating right by the riverwalk. It definitely made for a cozy evening by the water. I decided to order the cheese enchilada plate. Everything was flavorful and delicious! Plus the prices were great!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm playing tourist in San Antonio for a few days, and after a tour of the Alamo and some walking around, I decided to stop in at Casa Rio for a solo lunch. I was seated immediately, and my server, Kim, was friendly and attentive throughout my visit. I chose to sit inside since I had been out in the heat for a couple of hours, and the dining room was cool and quiet. My sever recommended the green chicken enchiladas, so I ordered those, with beans and no rice. The food was lukewarm at best. The refried beans were fine, but the enchiladas were the blandest I've ever had. The chicken was moist, but lacking any seasoning, and there was barely any green sauce to speak of on the plate. There was plenty of food for the price, but the lack of any real flavor was quite disappointing. I understand that Casa Rio is likely catering largely to tourists looking for a convenient place to eat and drink on the river walk, but just because we aren't locals doesn't mean we don't want a tasty meal.
google avatar

Yelp
So we've been here a few times in the past, I'd say anytime we come up to San Antonio. This day in particular I'm not sure who was in the kitchen but all plates were bad except the shrimp ceviche which thankfully I had but truly dont think a martini glass of shrimp is enough for $15.99. My mom had the beef tacos and I dont understand how you mess up tacos! I will say the best part was the skinny margarita, worth it! Also, they now charge for chips and salsa!!! In Texas most Mexican places if not all....this is standard aka free but not here.
google avatar

Deborah S.

Yelp
This is one of the older, more well known restaurants on the Riverwalk, and I've eaten there several times over the years. I will say that the food, on this visit, was the best it's ever been- slightly better than average. The low review score for this visit is for the service. No chips or salsa, no drink refills, and we waited almost an hour for our check once we finished eating. The place is pleasant enough, with the old San Antonio vibe, but the service has got to improve.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
The waitress was nice and fast. Came to check on us too, even gave me some big napkins so I can sit on them since I didn't want to sit where all the birds were lol the view was nice but the birds wow they run the place lol I had to shoooo shoooo them away and locals laughed at me lol the food was Tex mex and well I'm From San Diego so it was very different but fresh and warm. No salsa and chips free like I'm used to but it was okay. Service wins here, next time I'll sit inside hehe ooh and it as so cheap too! We are and were full. It was cheaper than a drive thru. My hubby got sombrero meal and it was okay.

Yelp
If your down at the River walk in San Antonio Tx and your craving Mexican food, this is the place to go. Casa Rio's food was excellent. Started off with chips and salsa and then had a combination plate of a tamale, enchilada and taquito. Came with rice and beans. Wife had a chile relleno that was also delicious. Sat right next to the river under an umbrella. Service was also excellent.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent Mexican restaurant right on the San Antonio Riverwalk. Sit at one of the Riverside tables and watch the river cruises go by and do some people watching on all of the folks walking around the Riverwalk. The staff is super friendly and super efficient. The guacamole appetizer is delicious And the enchilada trio is not to be missed. The kitchen is beyond efficient and our food came out incredibly fast. They have a variety of margaritas, the raspberry being my favorite. The birds outside that are begging and trying to swoop down to take food off of your plate can be annoying And if you don't like a bunch of people walking around your table while you're eating, then the outdoor space will not appeal to you. That being said, you really should enjoy the vibe, have the mariachi band sing for you, have a drink, and watch the world go by

Yelp
I hosted my Pullins-Jones Family Reunion Banquet at Casa Rio-San Antonio Riverwalk on Friday, July 18, 2025 in the Casa Rio private room was perfect! The Casa Rio event coordinator was an absolute joy to work with. He was very accommodating. On the event day, the staff was AMAZING from start to finish. The room set up was absolutely beautiful with Casa Rio standard decor. The fajita/enchilada buffet which included all the bells and whistles was served hot, fresh, and it was delicious. The cash bar was a success. The bartender fixed everyone drinks perfectly! My entire family had a wonderful time. Thank you Casa Rio staff!!!

Yelp
Quick service volume Mexican. Decent food and a for the price. I had chops with salsa guacamole and cheese sauce, street tacos al pastor (marinated pork) with beans and rice. The tacos were good but small. The beans were ok and the rice was very plain.

Yelp
5 stars for accountability! Appreciate the owner taking the time to reply and take full accountability instead of brushing it off or responding negatively. Well done

Yelp
Great spot for a quick bite or drink by the river. I ordered an horchata and a flan, hoping for an authentic Mexican dessert and drink but unfortunately, they didn't deliver. The flan was on the small side and reminded me of the prepackaged kind you can pick up at HEB from brands like Goya. It honestly made me wonder if that's what they're serving, just flipped onto a plate with a little extra caramel added. The horchata was cold and refreshing, but it still missed the mark and left me craving the real thing. Not terrible, just not what I expected. Highly recommend as a great spot for a break from all the walking!

Yelp
We went on a Wednesday night at the Riverwalk and it was amazing. We even had a mariachi band play for us while at dinner which was super cool. There were a lot of people out here and this is definitely somewhere. I can't wait to get back to oh yeah, and the food was amazing along with the drink drinks!

Yelp
Located at the riverwalk it's decent place for lunch and family friendly. We had chips and salsa and the street corn as starters, the street corn was particularly good and I especially liked the chips that come with it. For main dish I had the fajitas with beef the meet was good and soft and the portion was filling. The enchiladas trio and deluxe dinner were also good. Great service.

Yelp
If you've been do the riverwalk before, you've undoubtedly seen Casa Rio, either by foot or from the viewpoint of one of the Go Rio river boats. We had yet to visit so opted to stop in on the first night of our trip. Nice thing about Casa Rio is that you can tell this place is adept at turning tables. Seating, service, and food all moved pretty quickly, not a bad thing for the ever-busy riverwalk. Since it was July in Texas we opted to sit inside (no wait) as there was a bit of a wait to sit outside. What you'll get at Casa Rio is a menu similar to probably your local-neighborhood tex-mex. Don't think it will win any awards, but you'll still leave satisfied with a fully belly as was the case with my Chalupa combo. I was greeted with two chalupas that were piled high with veggies and cheese and the family enjoyed their food as well. So I'd say Casa Rio is worth a stop, if nothing else to get some solid tex-mex and visit this riverwalk staple, the first restaurant on the riverwalk, and still family owned (as well as those Rio boats) after all these years.

Yelp
I was down in San Antonio for a conference and came here with my coworkers. We sat along the riverwalk, which was pretty cool. I heard this restaurant has a lot of history and it was evident in the environment. I would say the food is ok. I have had better texmex in other places (even in Dallas) but being able to sit along the riverwalk and eat was quite a cool experience. I will say, people will walk by you and watch you eat and so will all the birds waiting for you to drop something. Service was what you would expect. Food came out reasonably fast considering our large group and the waiter was nice and accommodating.

Joanna S.

Yelp
Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly waitress. Food a bit mid, but totally acceptable. It's never going to be anyone's top choice based on food alone, and I wouldn't go if there was a long wait. But no wait and looking for affordable and decent food on the riverwalk? It fits the bill.

Yelp
Must stop whenever we're in SATX. Always love dinner at a table right on the water. Food and service were just right.

Yelp
Food was delicious, reminded me of our family recipes. Service was good. The view on the Riverwalk was nice.

Yelp
We opted for Cafe Rio after exploring the Alamo and River Walk. The restaurant takes up a huge portion of the river walk which allows seating both indoor and outdoor, on multiple levels. The menu is large which plenty of offerings at a very reasonable price. I would have liked the chips and salsa to be complementary, but then again the prices of entrees are low so I understand why the chips and salsa are an additional fee. I would say this was close to authentic Mexican food, we were hoping for that and it TexMex, so if you are too this is a safe bet. We tried the Deluxe Dinner Entree, chips, and salsa. The salsa was delicious, fresh and full of tomatoes and onions. The quality of the food was fine, not great, and the portions were decent. We enjoyed our meal, but would likely try another spot if we found ourselves in the area again.
google avatar

Rebecca R.

Yelp
We tried going here one evening but the waiting list was full, so we assumed it would be good food! We came back the next day for lunch and were disappointed. The horchata was delicious, but none of the food tasted good. I ordered the taco salad and the chicken was rubbery. The queso was cold, the chips are too corn-y. Just not a fan, except for the horchata. Maybe just get that drink to go and you won't be missing anything. You really pay for the ambience on the river walk, I haven't found a tasty Mexican restaurant yet in this area.

Yelp
I get this is a tourist destination but the food needs to be better than it is!! I also want to mention that our waiter, Elvis, was cool at the beginning but ended up being a totally obnoxious by the end of our dinnner. He was rushing us to get away from his table and I hated it!! The Margaritas sucked...I had 2. The chips and salsa were ok and the queso was good but the jalapeno poppers were a miss. While this restaurant has a beautiful spot on the Riverwalk, the service, food and drinks are subpar.

Yelp
Casa Rio is located along the river walk and it has a lively patio right along the river. When we were there around lunch time, the weather was perfect and a mariachi band was playing. I imagine the restaurant gets a big crowd whenever the sun is out. Service was quick at finding us a table and great all around. Those aspects alone are amazing! It's easy to see why a lot of people dine here. The food is okay, but leaves a lot to be desired for Tex Mex. We got an enchilada and taco combo and it was good but really could have used more flavor and more flavorful salsa options. If you're here for a nice time on the river front this is a good option, but if you're there for good food maybe look elsewhere.

Yelp
To be honest, they should have definitely taken off the guacamole, but I pointed out that the skinny margarita had cherry juice and a cherry in it, and I didn't drink it, but that wasn't taken off and my son's dinner which was some sort of plate with an enchilada, and they even showed us on the ticket that it said no onions was completely full of onions and that should've been taken off anyway It's not about the money. It was the experience I was going for it. Just they were so nice but I just felt like it should've been better and I do appreciate them not making me pay for food that I had hair in it, but I shouldn't also have to pay for food that's not made correctly or ordered And produce the way it was asked for

Yelp
This is a Tex Mex restaurant on the San Antonio Riverwalk so it is touristy, but the food and service are good. Parking and traffic are difficult due to the location.

Yelp
This is old school Tex Mex with the 3 Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas & beef Crispy Taco with the star of the secret recipe hot salsa by al carte. Many fond memories from meals past with my passed college mate & my Father. Worth the meal stop.

Yelp
What a mistake. There's so many good restaurants i greatly regret stopping at this one. The salsa should be labeled ketchup. I "up graded" my tacos to chicken fajita. It came out with dry boiled chicken on store bought tortillas. I've never had to pay for such bland mush before. Zero seasoning or spice. This is the quality one should expect in an old white nursing home. I had two bites of this garbage and I'm mad at myself for paying for the whole meal. Yasmina is a very sweet person but did nothing in the way of recovery. I told her it was terrible and only could stomach two bites. "Awe that sucks. Here's your bill." I had one night in this city and I can't believe how poorly i chose for my one dinner. Save your money. Oatmeal is much cheaper and has the same luster.
