(This is a review of the restaurant only.) My sisters and I took my mom here for a birthday brunch recently and we all enjoyed it so much. The lobby, library, and grounds are decked out for the holidays, and the vibe is so cozy. We dined outside on the patio and the food, service, and atmosphere were all pretty much perfect. I ordered a veggie burger. While the trimmings and sides were top notch, the patty itself was very run-of-the-mill frozen fare—I’d bet $100 it was the reliably squishy original Garden Burger. I’m glad that it was normal veggies, though, and not the weird processed Beyond Burger or Impossible Burger most places serve. For the price, however, I would expect something far superior, and handmade.
The rest of my (very picky) family was thrilled with their meaty options. Although a vegetarian can find a filling meal here, it’s definitely not the Arizona Inn’s strong suit. I come for the vibe, but I’m just letting you know in case that is a top priority.
It’s good enough that I keep coming back. In grad school a girlfriend and I would treat each other to lunch/brunch here on our birthdays. We loved the marble dining room, the historic aura, and of course the cocktails and snacks. If you’re in Tucson, it’s well worth a visit.
