A latino gem at the Little Havana in Miami. In the store, there is a little place to eat (onsite, or to go) My husband, son and I were visiting from Montreal and I wanted to have something very latino in Miami, not too expensive and as close as possible as to the feelings of being in a latino country, and we found it. They serve sandwiches, empanadas, and for warm dishes, they have a different one every day. We came on a tuesday and had a delicious Fricasé de pollo with rice, beans and plantain.

The empanadas here are amazing. The sandwich Cubano is as well. Other things like the sandwich de pollo were dry and flavorless. Overall not a bad experience. I did however feel I got significantly over charged as a tourist. 2 empanadas were almost $12 bit then you see older Hispanic people coming by and it seems they aren't paying the same price. I went here many times and since the prices are not posted I was a bit confused with them constantly changing.

The Cuban was great though. My coworker and I both agreed that the media Noche was the winner. The Gothic won't let you was satisfying and the service was excellent.

This little gem is inside a convenient place in Calle 8, is currently visited by locals, they sell beverages and delicious food, however their Pan con Beefsteak is the best in Miami. The place is not well maintained, there is a big can of trash next to the table for eating, every time they have a mess in the coffee station, the freezer need a little bit more love too. Temperature is not an issue here, they leave the veggies out and the food management doesn't matter here jajajaja. Mejor dicho necesitan remodelar el lugar, pero creo que perdera su sabor. This place needs a remodeling project. Staff is great but only 1 person is not enough.

Absolutely delicious cuban coffee. Went there After being recommended by the cigar place across the street, got my first ever cuban coffee and felt in love. Drove there with my wife the next day all the way from my hotel just to have it again. Looking forward to come back. Great prices too.

Look. I’m from out of town. But I know a good bacon, egg, and cheese. What I was given in an unassuming paper bag was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The cortadito is equally delicious punching well above its weight in a town with an abundance of coffee.

Delicious Cuban street food! Meat pies tasted good.

Yelp
The little place was closed but the mini market wasn't at that some very typical raggedy ass place that you could only find around here. I was looking for a soda but they don't sell any diet and all their stuff is spread in fridges all over the store. Interesting place very Cuban.

Yelp
Thought for sure I had reviewed this place years ago, but I guess not. I literally searched the streets of Calle Ocho for days, via Google Earth, to find this place. That's how much I loved it. I couldn't remember the name of it, but I remember the brightly colored exterior on the corner. Extremely stoked that I found it! The colada here was one of the best I had, while in Miami. I think Anthony Bourdain visited here, which is what prompted me to go. Walked inside and up to the counter, ordered a colada in my broken Spanish, which they appreciated. I think it was like $1 or so, not too expensive. By reading the article in the Miami New Times, they have decent food too. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a place that won't be crawling with tourist. Just be ready to bust out your Spanish when you order.
