The service from the staff and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant were good.
Unfortunately, the food itself was very disappointing. I ordered the truffle pasta with an add-on of smoked stracciatella, and as soon as the dish arrived at our table, there was a strong rotten smell coming from the stracciatella. I tried to eat a small amount, but the smell was so unpleasant that it made me feel nauseous.
One of the employees explained that this smell comes from the stracciatella, but I honestly don’t understand how someone could enjoy it. I am not a picky eater at all, and my friend also couldn’t handle the smell, which makes me confident that this was not normal.
The cacio & pepe was also extremely salty. Despite being salty, the dish lacked depth and richness of flavor and overall felt quite bland.
The only dish we truly enjoyed was the carpaccio.
I do appreciate how the staff handled the situation in the end, and I am grateful for their professionalism.
My intention with this review is not to speak badly of the restaurant, but to give honest and constructive feedback. However, due to the food quality, I would not return. Unfortunately, this was the worst food experience I’ve had in Madrid so far.
Even two hours later, my stomach still feels uncomfortable.
