Giyanti Coffee Roastery

We stumbled upon this coffee shop while walking around the Menteng area. From the outside, the coffee shop has a rustic, industrial feel, simple, raw & understated with a calm neighbourhood vibe. It doesn’t look flashy but it feels warm and inviting, very much like a hidden gem for coffee lovers. Overall, it was a nice experience. The coffee was good. We ordered the sparkling americano, which was refreshing and enjoyable, especially in the heat. For snacks, we tried the fried banana, basically pisang goreng but with a more refined, cafe-style touch. Price-wise, it is slightly on the pricier side compared to many other cafe around Jakarta, but still reasonable for the quality and experience. Overall, a pleasant stop for good coffee in Menteng.

Giyanti Coffee is one of my all-time favorite coffee shops. I’ve been coming here for more than 10 years, and it’s still the best coffee in town for me. It’s not just a coffee shop, but also a coffee roastery, and you can really tell they take their coffee seriously. When it comes to the coffee, I’d say it’s one of the best in Jakarta, and honestly, even among the best in Indonesia so far. You can choose between light, medium, or strong roasts. Personally, I always go for medium, it’s not too strong, but the balance is just perfect. The espresso base usually has a nutty character, which I absolutely love. I’ve tried a lot of their menu, but I mostly order white coffee like latte, cappuccino, and especially flat white. Flat white is my favorite. They also have magic, but flat white is the one that hits the spot for me every time. The place itself is comfortable, but it’s not really WFC-friendly. This is more of a place for sipping coffee, relaxing, and having conversations with friends. There are two areas: indoor and outdoor. The outdoor area is for smokers, and the indoor area has three floors. The reason it’s not great for working is because many of the chairs aren’t very ergonomic for long sitting, some are too high, some just aren’t that comfortable. There also aren’t many power outlets. But honestly, that makes sense, because this place isn’t meant for working, it’s meant for enjoying good coffee. The food is good, the drinks are consistently great, but yes, it’s on the pricey side. Still, it’s totally worth it. I usually come here as a kind of self-reward, not all the time, but when I really want a great cup of coffee, this is where I go. It’s located on Jalan Surabaya, a very quiet, calm, and peaceful area, which adds to the overall experience. For me, Giyanti Coffee will always be my favorite coffee shop in Jakarta ☕✨

My coffee sanctuary, hands down best coffee in Jakarta. We frequently came here since 2013 and personally got introduced to the owner who then offered us his help to our social movement. A man with a big heart. But of course, the coffee is the talk of the town, my benchmark when comparing with hundreds others emerging in the city. Food is great, too. Love this place to my bones.

My go to place to get delicious caffeine intake! Many seatings are available with warm and homey setting. You will easily spent hours of me time here. They are really serious about their coffee and you can see it from 2 La Marzocco espresso machine they got in the back room. And they serve some croissants, croffles and pastries too. Just order Piccolo with Carrot cake, it really matches nicely. And I also ordered some freshly ground beans too.

Best caffe with ghibli vibes interior👌🏼 Banana sourdough is yummy, still moist and smells delicious. Also have a taste of fusion rice with pesto and chicken popcorn sambal matah. Surprisingly goooodd! Pesto sauce was the best. Too bad, didn't take any of food pics. Magic coffee was satisfiying too.

Lovely place to enjoy coffee. We were early and enjoyed our coffees. The coffee was strong, yet smooth. The sourdough banana bread is great too! Wonderful atmosphere!

You can feel the local Jakarta atmosphere. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the interior is consistent. The coffee is not too acidic, which is very much my taste.

The food was a bit on the pricy side but understandable knowing the location. Absolutely a fan of the decorations and vibes of the cafe. Great place to chill and talk about anything. The matcha cookie with ice cream is delicious, i still find myself craving it randomly sometimes, but its really far away. (´∀｀*)。。。
