We had high hopes for Bricks in Blaine after a decent experience the week before, but today’s breakfast was a complete letdown—and frankly, an embarrassment for any restaurant claiming to serve quality food. We all ordered the same breakfast plate, and the problems were obvious the moment the waiter set them down. The bacon wasn’t just overcooked—it was burnt to the point of crumbling into dust when touched. The eggs were cold. Not lukewarm. Cold. It was baffling that this was even allowed to leave the kitchen. To his credit, the waiter acknowledged the bacon was burnt and promised to bring fresh bacon and eggs. He returned with new bacon—but no eggs. At that point, we didn’t bother pressing it further. We were hungry, so we picked at the potatoes, left the eggs untouched, and took the bacon home for the dogs. That’s how low the bar had dropped. The manager never came over. No apology. No explanation. Just a quiet $4 discount per meal, which felt more like a slap in the face than a gesture of goodwill. We paid over $60 for a breakfast that left us disappointed, frustrated, and still hungry. There’s a reason Bricks wasn’t packed on a Sunday morning after church. We found out the hard way. We won’t be back. Photos are of 3 different plates of cold eggs. No photo of burnt bacon as waiter promptly removed it. It should never of been served to us.

It’s a decent place to eat! Will be going back! Our server was on top of it and not intrusive on our date! service was excellent from the very sweet, kind hostess, to the Jennifer Lawrence look alike server . It was well worth it! The ice tea was fresh and tasted perfect.

Stopped for lunch-mediocre at best. They were out of everything my kid wanted (no apple slices, no juice) which made the meal extra fun. $11 kids meals are not a good value either. Grabbed a breakfast burrito and an avocado toast. The burrito was amazing and flavorful! The toast- not so much. Presentation was beautiful except for the dark brown avocado used. Extremely bland though. Also, it was just on plain ciabatta, some actual toasting would have been nice. Service was so-so, nothing impressive or anything. We quickly got the idea from our waiter that we were bothering him by eating at a table in his section. Made us just want to hurry up and get out.

I loved this place! Food was great! Tasty and delicious 😋. They have a variety of drinks too and the atmosphere is really nice. Service was good too

Google
Every time I am in town, I end up coming here! Great place, especially if you are in the USA sports complex, walking distance or a very easy ride. Place is huge so no issues getting a table, and food is very tasty! Price is good for the amount of food and how fresh it is, and service is friendly! Will keep coming back!

Google
Get their ribeye steak. The seasoning on it is perfect, you don't need anything else unless you want it to be spicy. Awesome cheese curds, although not much. Wings are good too. I would go back for sure.

Google
Staff is very nice 👍 and is the high light of the place. See pics and videos for more details. Food is okay they have some vegetarian options. For other cuisine they have lot of options. Dessert 🍪🎂 are served in large portions so be mindful while ordering. They have happy hours before 6pm. They have lot of options for drinking 🚰. Free parking 🅿️ is available. Thanks 🙏👍

Google
Took a little while to be greeted so after 5 minutes I just went and sat at the bar. Bison meatloaf was delicious and the wild rice soup was the best!!!

Yelp
Ordered the soup of the day which happened to be a lobster chowder and absolutely loved it!! It was very creamy!! The chicken sandwich and the meatloaf wasn't bad either-- I just wish it had more sauce!! The service was awesome and the ambience was really good. I thought the restaurant was pretty and the chairs were very comfortable.

Yelp
Food 4/5 - My favorite two appetizers were the cheese curds and shrimp n' grits, definitely recommend both. Service / Ambiance 4/5 - Service was helpful and quick. The restaurant was well maintained and clean.

Yelp
I wanted breakfast food on a Sunday morning before a game. Brick's Kitchen and Pub was on our way. Service was good and friendly. We weren't rushed to make a decision. She came back and checked on us after we got our food. Our food was good. We especially liked the blackberry jam/sauce we got with the cheese curds. It had a perfect amount of spice. We wouldn't have minded having a little more it was so good. We had the eggs Benedict and a breakfast platter. The potatoes were especially noteworthy because they were crisp. The bacon was nice and crispy. The English muffin was thick. My husband said his Eggs Benedict was good. My scrambled eggs were bland and I could have gotten salt and pepper I'm sure I just didn't make the effort. It was a nice clean place with a classy look.

Yelp
Went at a very busy time; food was subpar. Music was very loud and I mentioned that my kids have food allergies and the server's response was "perfect". One of the kid's ordered chicken poppers and they were inedible. The fries were decent. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was super dry.

Molly E.

Yelp
Do not let the aesthetics of this restaurant fool you. Service was mediocre despite being on a Wednesday evening when it was not busy. Over salted entrees, mustard over powered the pastrami pizza, deviled eggs were also underwhelming, broccolini was overcooked and sauced. High point would be the lemonade.

Yelp
Bricks is a solid restaurant with a nice location in Blaine. Always easy to find parking and get in. A mix of nice dining and sports bar vibe. Love the ambiance of the restaurant. Food is average, prices are high. Service is decent. It is a solid option in Blaine.

Yelp
Traveling through and this restaurant was recommended by hotel staff. The atmosphere was very crowded and loud - tables are very close together. We found the prices to be exorbitantly high for the offerings - basic green salads started at $13 (add protein started at $7). Appetizers were the cost of some dinner items and higher. The food was ok.... I'd recommend checking the menu before going otherwise there are plenty of other food options close by....

Yelp
What a shame to see such low reviews! I had stayed away from this restaurant for awhile due to the lower reviews but decided to check it out today because they have a beautiful outdoor patio area. The vibe check here is great! The inside and outside are decorated beautifully and have an upscale feel to them! There is rich dark wood throughout the space and some fireplaces as well! The patio area has roughly 10-15 tables, a large fireplace and a separate area with cushioned seating over looking a small pond. The service here was very friendly and prompt. Truly my only complaint is that I ordered an appetizer and it came out the same time as my meal. Now to the most important part: THE FOOD! I started with the Cherry picker Collin's. Very refreshing and not overly "alcohol" tasting! Very nice! I ordered the bourbon shrimp. This was $22 for a starter... definitely steep for an appetizer! I will say it is a extremely tasty! You get 6 shrimp that were seasoned very well! The grits were a perfect consistency and cheesy! For my entree I got the ranch house chicken sandwich! It was crunchy and the smoky ranch was a spectacular touch! I opted to sub out my fries and get the green beans! These are some of the best green beans I've ever had! The glaze, peanuts and green beans had so many flavors and textures that all just worked! Highly recommend!! I would absolutely tell people to come and check this place out! Let's push these guys into the 4-5 star category where they belong!

Yelp
This is one of the top choices for my family if we are going out to eat. They have great food, service and atmosphere.

Yelp
Delicious food again last night at Bricks. Our server was very attentive. Beer was cold and food nummy! I think their prices are a smidge high but it doesn't keep me from coming back for more. The salmon was $27.99 and a little smaller than the size I pay $20.99 for at a competitor diner. The sides are enormous actually enough to share with 3 people. Their cheesy grits are fabulous too, so light and creamy and seasoned to perfection. My girlfriend also ordered the salmon and she mentioned it was too salty for her so she scraped a lot of the topping off of hers. Their chips and cheese presented well and had just the right bite to it. Don't get me wrong, I love this place. I am just sharing my good and so so feelings in the post. Very warm atmosphere as well, not too busy for a Thursday night during happy hour.

Yelp
Great Food, Great guest service, The food was good the only down side is the price for it. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay, Recommend

Yelp
Food was great! Those Brussel Sprouts and Loaded Mashed potatoes were on point!!! Tuna was beautiful! Service was wonderful.

Yelp
Great service. Excellent martini. Really good bar food. The wild rice soup is excellent. Price is reasonable.

Yelp
Good food but very slow service. 2:30 in the afternoon, small crowd, 40+ minutes to get our food.

Yelp
Took my daughter here last night for dinner. Service and ambiance was spot on for the mood we were in, chill and low key. Menu is simple and not over baring. I got the blackened steak tacos off the app menu, she got the American burger with truffle fries. Everything was really good.

Tara L.

Yelp
The many 1 star reviews are right- bad service, bad food, lots of people standing around talking and not helping.

Yelp
Great experience this weekend at Bricks. We visited with a large group of- very last minute and the manager gladly accepted our group. She explained that we may have a bit of a wait, but proceeded to inspire her staff to get us fed. Couldn't be happier. That staff seemed to kick it into overdrive to accommodate our every request. Groups with kids can be tough, but the staff there are pros. Haven't even mentioned the food! Everyone raves about the appetizers and main dishes. This place is great. We will definitely make this a regular spot during our visits to the area. Promise to try to give you better notice next time. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Yelp
Bartender recommended beer and burger special on Monday night. Had 2 beers and a cheeseburger and fries for less than $25. Pretty good deal and the food was good. Glass of Sierra Nevada beer and a Summer Shandy. Clean and nice bar. Outside seating was being enjoyed by others too. TVs for sports.

Yelp
Went to Bricks for Easter brunch. Brunch was served family style and there was ample food to fill up everyone including my 17 year old grandson. Great selection of food, something to satisfy everyone's taste. The $10 all you can drink Mimosa was a plus too! Only complaints were the scrambled eggs lacked flavor and the brisket could have used a bit more seasoning.

Nathan T.

Yelp
terrible. my Culver's ice cream I got after was better than the food they serve. the staff is also terrible and doesn't apologize or try to come up with solutions. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
google avatar

Richard W.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. I'm really glad I didn't let the 3 star deter me. I'm a pilot and eat out a LOT. Bricks absolutely exceeded expectations. Would def recommend. Rarely do I find Yelp to be wrong. This was def one occasion they were very wrong.

Yelp
Strange to see such low reviews. A group of 6 went for a business dinner on a Wednesday night. We were seated right away and the service was friendly and very quick. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers of deviled eggs and shrimp and grits which were amazing. Overall a great place for dinner and drinks.

Yelp
1st time here from out of town for a 15 year old hockey team group of 40+ guests. Excellent greeting, service, food and hospitality. Large group menu offered a lot of choices. Pricing in line from what I could tell. Server was friendly and attentive, and I witnessed hosts, SAs and managers chipping in to support. The server made sure we knew that there was a gratuity added on for large groups which is industry standard and was kind enough to track checks by jersey number and separate(sorry.). We tipped extra as you should. Your experience may not be identical to ours but as a restaurant owner I applaud their handling of our experience. Thank you.

Yelp
Great service and amazing food. I got the Tuscan Cuban pasta subbed with shrimp we got two orders of the truffle fries delicious and hubby got the drunken hunter.

Rob T.

Yelp
Staff is always kind and attentive. They always greet us with a smile. The food and drinks are always great! I always love going to dinner here! One of the best spots in Blaine!

Yelp
Amazing appetizer, (The Brickel was fabulous) food and service! It was our first time visiting your restaurant.

Yelp
I don't know how this place has only 3 stars. I've been avoiding it for a long time because it has only 3 stars. But last night, we were running out of options because a lot of places were closing so we came here. And uh, wow. Waitress was awesome. Super friendly and helpful. And the food? We had the margarita pizza, and Zeppole for dessert. Wow. Best pizza I've ever had. So good, that we came back again tonight and had the BBQ pizza and was even better! Then we had the s'more dessert and was incredible. If it sounds like I'm a paid advertisement, we'll, not sure what to say. It's not. I'm telling everyone I know about this place. I am genuinely baffled by the 3 star review average. Don't make the same mistake I made and skip this place. Try it. And thank me later.

Yelp
Had a guy's golf trip from Texas to MN and stayed several days. This place was right by our hotel, and we enjoyed it so much we ate here every day. We tried all different types of food/drinks/beers and enjoyed every one of them. The service was great and we have no complaints there. Lots of selections of beer. We will be back next year on our annual trip!!
google avatar

Yelp
First time trying this place! Their menu has tons of options, typical and unique which is really nice! The food overall was fine, I think I would eat here again! My husband was a bit disappointed I think. We ordered the corn dip. While it was flavorful and good, the texture was off because of how much oil was in it. Every time we stirred it the dip would separate from the oil and it made it hard to enjoy more than a couple of bites. I got the wild rice soup- it was hearty, creamy, and seemed fresh. A bit on the salty side so souper beware! My husband got the Cuban- he kind of shrugged at it, seemed to be mediocre at best. The fries were the worst part of the meal, they're more like shoestring fries but they tasted like freezer burn and were cold and chewy. Overall- this might be more of a place to get drinks and apps!

Yelp
Love this place! convenient location and probably the best Cajun dry rub wings I've had in quite a while... awesome burgers too!

Jack P.

Yelp
Frequently dine at Bricks for lunches & dinners. Great menu, great team, great ambiance and great experience.

Gina S.

Yelp
There wasn't many people in here on a weekend which should've been a red flag since the area was really busy at the time. Service was slow. It must not be a great place to work because literally, not one person who worked there had a smile on their face, they all looked miserable to be there. The atmosphere was ok, if it was busy, I could see it being loud in there. The food was way overpriced for what you get. It was super greasy and so heavy on the garlic that you couldn't taste anything else. We won't go back there.
google avatar

Yelp
Corn dip is TO DIE FOR! Great appetizer. Comes out hot, sizzling, and will leave your mouth watering. I got the beer can chicken, very average. The gravy wasn't my favorite, wasn't very commentary to the chicken and potatoes in my opinion. My boyfriend got the Nashville hot chicken with a slaw on top and wow.... It was amazing. Great crunch and juicy piece of chicken!
google avatar

Robert F.

Yelp
Great food. Got the blackened tacos, and the Nashville hot chicken. Just fantastic. Family member brought me and they get the pizzas and they love em

Yelp
This may be my new favorite place to go. A friend of mine and I decided we wanted to go someplace we have never been before, and I'm so sad that it took us this long to find Bricks. It is 12/10 delicious!! We had some tasty cocktails that we definitely only needed one of ;) The chicken nachos were the BEST I have ever had. I loved everything we ate, but I cannot stop thinking about these nachos. A little spicy kick, enough toppings for all your chips, and I enjoy the juxtaposition of the cool salsa on top of the warm ingredients. The textures and flavors complemented each other well, great balance and no ingredient overpowered the others. The BBQ pizza was to die for. I enjoy that they shred the meat rather than dicing so it really absorbed the flavors. The bbq sauce was sweet, but not overly so. The house pickles remind me of my mom's refrigerator pickles, fresh and crisp rather than briny and crunchy. I love the punch from fresh jalapeños, green and spicy, but doesn't overwhelm the other flavors. The steak was cooked perfectly and so tender. The mashed potatoes were exceptional with the seasoned sour cream, and when they say loaded? They mean LOADED. Tons of toppings, enough for every bite. I was so excited that the Brussels sprouts were a crisp steam, then tossed with bacon and cheese, rather than roasted. I love steamed vegetables, and I feel the don't get the love they deserve. My friend only likes roasted, so I got them all to myself! I had to get the s'mores soufflé for dessert because I always pick chocolate and I'm a sucker for marshmallows. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, and to my delight, it was like a little lava cake and so much toasty marshmallow. Not burnt, but perfectly golden so you get that little smokiness. The graham crackers were a great crunch. The strawberry skillet cookie was very tasty and gooey in the middle, and not overly sweet. And just as important as all that, Mason, our server was fantastic. Very sweet, recommended the coveted nachos, and never made us feel rushed. The staff as a whole was fantastic. Our table was prebussed so it was never cluttered even with how many dishes we ordered. We will definitely be back, and can't wait to see what we try next time, provided we don't just get the same thing since it so yummy!
google avatar

Yelp
WoW If you like Bistros and amazing good food! This is the best we have had , and I would recommend the absolutely amazing Bourbon Shrimp on Cheesy Grits! Holy Hannah they we're delicious. Oh and the sweet potato fries were hot and lovely Of course finishing with a lil Pavarotti Ice Cream was yummy! Server Amanda was excellent attentive and great customer service! All in all I would highly recommend going to Bricks. Ps if you drink too much you could walk to a hotel next door.....lol.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
Not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews, it was great. Ordered a chicken sandwich and chicken wild rice soup and they were both really flavorful and delicious. My husband, our friends, and their kids all enjoyed their food as well. We made it in time for happy hour and got discounted tap beers. Great service and a nice ambiance with the big fireplaces and comfortable booths. No complaints, definitely recommend.

Yelp
Not sure how or why BRicks has 2 1/2 stars on Yelp but it's a solid 4 star and I'm bumping up to counteract all the imbeciles low balling bricks. A cut above standard pub food nice space fun spot foe hockey and other people. We love you bricks and I don't care what these other people say
google avatar

Brent S.

Yelp
Love the food and love the service. A great place to hang out and have meetings. It has great drinks and great atmosphere.
google avatar

Jeff C.

Yelp
First time here and one of the best burgers I've ever had. Perhaps some of the prices are why the ratings are less than I would expect. (Average 2.5 stars). In Blaine, $49 for a ribeye probably turns some of the locals off. Pure speculation on my part. I definitely will come back to try other items.
google avatar

Linda S.

Yelp
I love the food at Bricks. Never a bad meal. If I want good food it's always one of the first places I think of. The 4 star review is due to the bartender and the drink pours. When I'm paying more than $10 for a drink I want more than 1 shot of booze in my drink. My whisky soda tasted like soda. It was a short and wasn't even a full glass. A good meal needs a good drink.

We The People U.

Yelp
Not sure what this mess is but is not a Margherita pizza. The "aged balsamic" takes over the taste of everything else. The crust has no taste other than the crunch, cheese taste like nothing is there yet it's present as you can see. The basil (what basil) is added before the pizza goes into the oven.. what?! I had a "honey crisp" cider which was tasty and crisp, I guess since the staff had nothing to do with it this remains true to its name. An overpriced mediocre pizza place that has no business being in service

Yelp
UPSCALE SPORTS BAR We came here on a Friday night, but it was surprisingly quiet. Oh yeah, fishing opener. We had a reservation, but after perusing her notes, the hostess told us that it was for the following eve. Funny, as we had a confirmation call earlier that day, hmmm. Whatever. Didn't care for the location of our table for 6, but sometimes you just take what you get. The patio looked really nice, but it was a tad chilly for that. We were all delighted to see that the menu had exceptional sounding food, even the kid's menu. Our 5 yr old was offered a STEAK! She devoured it! Everything we ordered was fantastic! I had the Bolognese Pasta and it was outstanding. I like how all the pasta selections are small portions, it was perfect! We had a variety of cocktails, and while tasty, they were slow to arrive. Our celebration dinner was well over 2 hours long, too long for a gramma and 5 yr old. Everything was just slow, slow, slow. The excellent food was great, and I realize that proper preparation takes time, but gee whiz. I think that it was just one of those "out of sync" nights for the staff, it happens. WORTH GOING BACK

Thaddeus J.

Yelp
I have been coming here since it opened. Somthings changed, but it's a great place for lunch or dinner. The truffle fries a yes! I was shocked to see such low reviews. Some I can understand. But a lot are stuck up soccer moms complaining about not making a reservation and it being busy or not letting their dogs come in and no, not a service animal. If you have wanted to check this place out and have been put off by the reviews, don't let it dissuade. This place is great.
google avatar

Erika D.

Yelp
We were watching our kid play in a tournament at the NSC across the street. Had our well-behaved dog with us. We had the corner table at the end of the outside row of tables and were told that we couldn't bring our dog. So dumb. I felt bad leaving 1 star, but it was as only 2.5 stars to begin with. Hope that reviews like this get them to change their dog policy!

Jan D.

Yelp
We had my son and daughter-in-law's wedding rehearsal dinner at bricks. Tom and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and serve us. The food was wonderful! The service was terrific. Our waitress Dani smiled and talked and laughed with all of us. it was a great experience and I would highly recommend Bricks to everyone. Jan

Bree S.

Yelp
we walked in and stood there while the place was not busy. we waited about 5 min before we decided to walk out. The bartender looked at us twice and didn't say a word. a couple of waiters and waitresses looked at us and walked by. We went to Clives instead. A person was at the door, welcomed us and we got seated right away.
google avatar

Danny O.

Yelp
Went there with my father in law and was super impressed. Burger was fantastic and great atmosphere.

Schia L.

Yelp
So for the last three visits or so, it seems like the workers have a bad attitude. They're not necessarily mean, but maybe they're just tired. It definitely shows in their service, or lack thereof. One waitress brought us a super dirty, coffee mug... like the entire inside of the mug, had leftover coffee in it... I was literally scraping it out with my thumbnail easily. And when we Asked her for a new cup, there was no apology or anything. She did get us a new mug though. Then, on multiple occasions, my burger (bricks burger) was missing some of its main ingredients to make it a specialty burger. On top of that, the waitress/waiters would barely return to our table to check on us. Our salad was also missing cranberries and nuts at least twice. The food is good... But if the service continues to be the way it is, I might have to find a new place to get a delicious burger. Did we do something wrong? Maybe we're on their hit list. It's a really nice space, so it has the potential to be really great. It just sucks that the service lessens that potential.
