"Mole Creek Karst National Park, along with the surrounding Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, offers subterranean streams and pools, plus at least 300 caves. At Marakoopa Cave, you’ll feel as though you’re in mother nature’s planetarium—the walls are lit up by Australia’s largest colony of glowworms. Caves like Honeycomb and Westmorland are best explored during a half- or full-day trip with Deb from Wild Cave Tours. Unlike most guides, she holds a PhD in speleology. But if one day is not enough, make it a wild caving weekend to progress from walking and wading to scrambling and squeezing through tight crevices. Local beer and wine await you at Mole Creek Guesthouse."

Scenic drive to get there. The tour guide was very organised and knowledgeable. Great number of group. Very safe tour and easy to navigate inside the cave, instructions are clear. The cave is superb, spectacular glow worms. Breathtaking. We loved it and highly recommended.

Reflective river and glow worms tour. Sensational! Totally immersive, absolutely stunning. Easy walking, boardwalk all the way with a few stairs and a few low points requiring ducking but nothing difficult. The guide was sooo friendly, and passionate about caving. Bonus she even took some of The Travel Guides cast on a tour, lots of fun talking about it . Highly recommend!

As an ex cave tour guide myself, I was blown away by both the extremely competent staff and the incredible cave. Shannon ran her tour better than any I've seen, with excellent knowledge and passion. Angela was fantastic and kept the tour group entertained with her bright enthusiasm. A fellow cave enthusiast I met on tour, and myself, agreed this was our #1 favourite cave ever. I spoke with other staff as well and they were all incredibly friendly and took the time to thoroughly explore my questions. The glow worms are magical, and the cave boasts more decorations than I could elaborate on in a review. Do NOT skip this cave. Can't recommend it enough. Thanks so much to Marakoopa cave and staff!

This was the second cave tour our group did under the same company on the same day. The first being King Solomon Caves. It was absolutely stunning, made more so with the underground rivers. Our guide passed on a lot of knowledge and was entertaining as well. And if you're wondering, yes, we saw many glow worms. Would love to explore the third cave one day!

Great tour of Marakoopa cave. Stunning formations, very reasonable price ($19 per adult) and a big shout out to our guide Shane who was extremely knowledgeable, informative and hilarious. He is a real asset to this company.

Absolutely stunning caves. Tour guide was awesome. Book tours in advance recommended. Gift shop and clean toilets before you go up to caves.

We went to Marakoopa Cave today. We love caves so we have been many caves around the world. We think Marakoopa really tops it! I think apart from it was very interesting and we could even see glow worms in the cave, Renae made our tour so special! She was very informative, friendly, funny and she was showing us everything with passion! Thank you so much

We loved our tour with Shane and John. The caves were really interesting, and the tour was just the right amount of time. Got to spend quite a bit of time looking at the glow worms which was awesome. A great value tour, for the price and Shane is a great tour guide. Well worth it.

Yelp
I'm generally cool on cave tours, having taken so many growing up and deciding they're all generally the same stalactites, stalagmites, and pretending they have the most unique formations. This one was different. To prove it, you walk uphill into the cave instead of downhill. (Those crazy upside-down Australians. Just kidding.) The unique feature of this cave, and I hope this isn't a spoiler, is the glow worm room. To avoid further spoilage I won't tell you more, but it's definitely a must-see and unforgettable.
