Yelp
Yes it is pretty pricey, yes the line is always very very long and they don't take small group reservations, but they are really really good. Among the rest of the metropolitans in North America, Toronto really doesn't have that many good choices of KBBQ, so I am not going to use the same standard I used for NYC and LA KBBQs here. Let's talk about this place in 2 aspects, the food, the service/atmosphere.
The food: THEIR THICK CUT HONEY COMB PORK BELLY IS A MUST TRY. I personally hold the highest standard on KBBQ pork belly and it is extremely delicious we had to order 3 portions of it. I also really like their raw beef with pear, it is very icy, some of the pear is basically just a block of ice, but when you are eating hot bbq, and drink soju, it is extremely nice to eat something icy to balance it out. One thing I don't like is the old school bento, it is fun to order because you get to do it like how people in kdrama do, but it just tastes off and too fishy.
The service: I don't find the waiters here too friendly, they just do their job, they would sometimes grill for you and cut your meat, but some of them are expressionless. I know it is a long day, and you have to work non stop, but it just doesn't feel like we are welcomed. The atmosphere is very cozy and nice, the posters and the soju bottles on the shelf are all very nostalgic.
