It was a great drive up here. The food was great. We had the steak and a fondue and both were amazing. And the French toasts!! 11/10

A stunning mountain road leads up to the restaurant, offering breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The prices are reasonable for the area, and both the food and staff were excellent.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Le Montagnard in Montreux! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was inviting—a beautiful blend of a classic chalet with a fresh, modern twist. The food was nothing short of spectacular, and you can genuinely feel the chef's passion in every bite. I ordered the Croustillant de Chèvre and the Gnocchi with Mushrooms, and I was blown away by the freshness and quality of each dish. The service was another highlight; the lady serving me was the sweetest, attentive, and made my experience even more special. Le Montagnard is now, without a doubt, my favorite restaurant in all of Montreux. I can’t wait to return for my next visit!

I have been coming to le Montangard with my family ever since I was a baby- it is a place where I have very fond childhood and familial memories, so when we found out that it reopened under new ownership, we had to come and I cannot put into words how lovely the whole experience was. From the moment we set foot, we were so warmly greeted and made to feel right at home! The food was impeccable, service was outstanding and atmosphere as a whole is so familial and warm. I would recommend this restaurant again and again and I can’t wait to be back!

An absolute gem! A cosy chalet style with staff taking well care. Fantastic food! A taste of Switzerland with its finest with great mountain and lake view along the drive. Wheter a group, private or family event, this place is very charming. An old typicall farm house renovated with taste. Having a fire place, beautifull wooden interior. Very nice terrasse and playground which can be watched from your table. Delicious typicall Swiss food or more elaborated dishes. Locally sourced fresh ingridients. Nice wine selection

New owners took over, and after 18 months of renovation, it shows. Would highly recommend.
