"I like Lebowski Bar for a themed, casual night out — it’s a Big Lebowski–themed bar that’s listed among my favorite Reykjavik hotspots." - Matthew Kepnes

Absolutely amazing experience! They are short staffed so the service was not as good as it could be but the price point and quality of the food was well worth it! The whole restaurant is based on the movie, from a vast White Russian menu, to burgers named after the characters and a whole bowling themed decor! We really enjoyed our meal here!

It was fine. Glad to say we went, but not knocked out by anything I'm particular. Took forever to get drinks, and they finally came with our food. I lad a long island Iced tea the was very meh, and the Donny burger that was overcooked and was a little smaller and thinner than my wife's burger that was actually quite delicious.

Loved this place. Had to have one of the White Russian cocktails and i chose the cocoa puffs one. Great ambience and although i did not have any food, it looked good.

Cool spot to check out. We didn’t eat but got a couple of drinks that were good. Service was quick. Cool atmosphere. It’s not overly cheesy or gimmicky in my opinion.

Lebowski Bar is a fun, quirky spot in downtown Reykjavik that fully embraces its theme with playful energy and bold decor. From the moment you walk in, you’re immersed in a colorful tribute to The Big Lebowski—complete with retro bowling alley vibes, movie quotes, and an impressive menu of White Russians and shakes. We stopped in for dessert and ordered two of their signature milkshakes: the banana shake and the peanut butter chocolate shake. Both were indulgent, rich, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The banana shake was smooth, creamy, and packed with real banana flavor—refreshing without being too sweet. The peanut butter chocolate shake, on the other hand, was pure dessert heaven: thick, bold, and perfectly balanced between salty and sweet. The service was friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe was upbeat and casual. It’s definitely more of a high-energy spot—great for groups or anyone looking for a lively time. The only reason it’s not a full five stars is the volume—it can get pretty loud, especially during peak hours, which might not suit everyone. But if you’re into great shakes, good vibes, and a bit of nostalgic kitsch, Lebowski Bar is absolutely worth a visit.

Fun bar to visit in Reykjavík, great atmosphere and theming (big Lebowski movie). We didn’t eat here but the food looked good. Definitely try a White Russian.

Visited this restaurant without having watched the Big Lebowski, but had a wonderful experience! The Brandt burger is easily a 5/5 meal My wife had the Lebowski burger which she states beats every burger she has had stateside in the last year. Juicy patties, not burnt, not overdone, without having to ask! Pina colada was tasty! Must try the White Russians when you visit! Would recommend the banana Russian!

When we stayed in Reykjavík for two nights, we ate at the Lebowski Bar both nights! It is my husband’s fav movie! Fun, entertaining bar with really good food. The staff were amazing as well. Thanks for the delicious food and beer.
