The Waldorf Asteria in Berlin is the best hotel I've ever stayed in, hands down. It's so nice I don't think my review can do it justice.
Let's talk about the room. The room is lovely and spacious. It's so warm and inviting, every time I came back to the room, I didn't want to leave, it's that nice. The bed is massive and firm, just how I like it. I'm 6"4 and I could comfortably lie down without my feet touching the end of the bed.
The room is really big, I could workout on the floor without any problems.
The bathroom has a sink, bath tub, toilet and shower, the design is so cleverly done and neat. I think the best feature is the TV in the mirror. I didn't watch any TV but the fact it was there looked amazing and cool. This is easiest the best bathroom I've ever been in, the finish was immaculate.
The room also had a coffee machine, coffee pods with different flavours (six), the coffee was stupendous. The coffee was replenished every day, along with the water which was lovely.
I asked for an iron and an iron board, this was brought to my room so I could iron my clothes.
I ordered food from room service - tomato soup, club sandwich with chips which was amazing, I loved it. I also ordered spaghetti Bolognese which was a lovely size and portion. The cheesecake was also ordered twice and it was sublime. Cheesecake is my favourite cake and it didn't disappoint.
I don't think you'll have an issue with the food from room service and it also looked amazing, really pleasing to the eye.
The staff was amazing, every staff had a smile on their face, if I needed help, they were happy to deal with all my requests.
The location is in West Berlin, away from the action of central London, walking distance from the zoo. It took my an hour walk to work and I enjoyed the fact I was able to see Berlin to and fro work.
Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable, I'll certainly come back again.
