This One-of-a-Kind Seoul Museum Lets You Go Back in Time
"Our family was visiting Donuimun Museum Village, a full city block of traditional hanoks and more modern structures that is now a time capsule of Seoul history and culture from the 1890s to the 1990s. The free museum is named for the old western gate of the Seoul Fortress Wall, which stood nearby until the Japanese colonial government demolished it in 1915."
Modern re-interpretation. Good. Photogenic. But not truly traditional.

I have been visiting Korea all my life and this is the best attraction I've seen. I always wish that there were more traditional things to see or participate in so I can truly connect with the culture. My mom left Korea as a young girl during the time period this village captures. She was in tears getting to be in it again and was excited to "finally" go to music bar she wasn't allowed in as a kid. The attention to detail is incredible and the village truly captures a piece of Korean history that we all keep close to our hearts.

Seems nice but we couldn't try anything because when we passed by here there was nobody.

Might be cute if you just happen to be in the area, but not worth going on purpose. Outdoor, so not good if the weather is too hot or rainy.

I have been going to this place for years after Chuseok and Seolnal. It isn't crowded and a good place for nostalgia. Sometimes they have live music from the 60s/70s. Lots of place to have coffee or a snack.
