What an amazing food experience. Let’s start with the initial impression. The premises is located within a mixed residential light industrial area. The external impression is nothing special other than being clean & intriguing as you wonder what is beyond the doors. As you enter you are greeted by friendly welcoming staff who welcomed you by name before you told them who you were. We were seated in a welcoming room that was typically a local Chinese restaurant but elevated in its execution with beautiful artwork & relaxing music. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and made us feel relaxed immediately. The food was incredibly well crafted with authentic wok hey notes.Clean flavours not drowned in oil & cooked with much pride and passion for the Me Wah brand. Whilst our food was vegetarian the flavours and textures were amazing. The only unfortunate aspect of this experience is that we cannot have this in Sydney. Thankyou Me Wah, I will be back. 🙏

Authentic Cantonese Chinese flavours delivered with impeccable service every visit! A comprehensive menu, and for the vegetarian diner, a plausible selection of dishes on offer. Stanley looks after his patrons with the utmost care, and will ensure that he meets my dietary needs to perfection! Vegetarian is 100% vegetarian - mushroom oyster sauce, no traces of meat, fish or crustacea which means that even for vegans, you can rest assured that your meal has been prepared to the highest of standards. A SUCCULENT CHINESE MEAL! My family and I come from Brisbane, where we are often spoiled for choice when looking for Chinese food. However, I can confidently say this beats any Chinese I’ve had from home! After a week without any Asian food, we had mad cravings for rice and soup. The Ling Fish Soup was delicious, clearly boiled with the bones of the fish for some time to bring out their natural aroma. The jellyfish chicken was crisp and packed with flavour, with a bit of spice for extra punch. The deluxe seafood truffle fried rice lived up to its name, with a generous serving of scallops and prawns along with an intense truffle flavour - our favourite for sure. We were gobsmacked by how reasonable the prices were, especially given the classy atmosphere and exceptional service provided by the staff. The waiters diligently divided the rice and soup for each person. The manager, Ivy, was so polite, friendly and professional. If we had an extra day in Launceston, we would have loved to have gone one more time. We will definitely be back next time we visit! Absolute local gem.

The service at Me Wah is fantastic, the food was just as good. A Must try in Launceston. The head waiter (sorry I didn't catch his name), was amazing, attentive and happy to have a chat. We weren't too sure on a few dishes and he was extremely quick with recommendations based on what was already ordered. The food was very good, I enjoyed my meal thoroughly. My colleagues loved the food, they were already talking about the next time I'm in Launceston, that we should eat here again. I'm very excited for our next visit to Me Wah

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! NOT TO BE MISSED! The service was impeccable—staff were friendly, approachable, attentive, and paid close attention to every detail. Now, let’s talk about the food—it was phenomenal! Every dish had 4 Singaporeans living in Melbourne impressed. Here’s what we ordered: Duck Sang Chao Bao – Perfection on a plate. There was nothing to fault here—easily a 10/10! Crispy Eggplant – Beautifully crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sweet and sour sauce added a great balance and cut through the richness. Solid 8/10. Buddha Chicken – This dish completely blew us away! Even though we were already full, we couldn’t stop eating—it was that good. A must-try! If we could, we’d give it a 20/10! Yang Chow Fried Rice – Pretty standard and didn’t really stand out, so we’d give it a 6/10. Braised E-Fu Noodles – A rare find and executed well. I personally really enjoyed this and would rate it a 7/10 as I am a fan of braised E-fu noodles. Given that it's a proper restaurant, the pricing is actually quite reasonable!

Have ordered takeaway a handful of times. Staff are friendly. Food is ok, but they tend to overuse onions and celery as filler instead of meat.

Ex and I went to ME Wah ages ago for lunch and loved the experience and food. Food was beautiful and customer service was friendly. Highly recommend me wah I will go back

This has to be the best Chinese in Launceston. The food is great not greasy, and the service is almost silver service and it's quite unique. We ended going there twice over four days.

Wow wee at me wah. You pay for the service, outstanding! Even walk you out the door. The Chinese was good too, my partner had sweet n sour pork which was very yummy, my combination chow mein was a bit bland and salty but I would definitely go back and try other dishes. I heard you get good deal on takeaway, so that will be my next try
