Crazy Craig's Cheeky Monkey Bar

We stopped in for some drinks after a long day and received a friendly welcome as soon as we walked in. The service was awesome. I used to come to this place when I lived in Branson under the previous owners but never seemed to stop in over the last 10 years. The inside was so cute. I loved the theme. We are gonna pop in more often when visiting! We had a good time!

We had such a great time. Loved how we walked in and we were greeted by staff all together “Welcome to the Cheeky Monkey” got to try a free shot. Great service and food. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you Russ for being our awesome server.

When you get in the parking lot you can smell the smoker. Smelt so good. Went in for food. Was welcomed with a free shot. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious the pork itself was so flavorful 10/10. Loaded pulled pork nachos we couldn’t stay out of. Picture shown is Seating other than right at the bar. Friendly fun staff. Definitely good fun bar atmosphere was a wonderful time. Smokers are outside and never smelt them or felt “smoked” out. Try the monkey fuel it’s delicious! Will definitely come back.

Staff is friendly and they all wait on whomever,which helps expedite your service. Food was delicious. We hung out for a couple hours playing pool. Live band was good. Had a great time.

Came for our friends birthday weekend. Googled best dive bar. They did not disappoint. Greeted by Jay with homemade vodka shots "crazy life" and the welcome to cheeky monkey cheer started a great night. Our waitresses were amazing and so friendly. Special shoutout to Jaci who ran circles around the bar chasing short sizes for us and fetching extra beers and food! Other than the band starting later than we thought it was 100% perfect. And we can't forget our waitress and bartender Juliana.

Great food and boozy cocktails! The brisket nachos were amazing! I think the only thing I'd do differently is to ask for the chips to be kept separate so that you get consistent crunch instead of fighting the clock against soggy chips.

What a place! So fun and the service was outstanding! We had the BBQ platter and shared it with 4 people. It was good and all the drinks were good. The smoky Mac and cheese is very smoky so be cautious! We would go back!

Fun dive bar on the outskirts of Branson. Great patio and indoor dining options. Mix and match buckets of beer for $21 for the good stuff, or $17 for generic. Good selection of burgers and other bar staples. Friendly staff and a fun atmosphere!

Crazy Craig's Cheeky Monkey Bar 120 Montgomery Dr, Branson, MO 65616 The beer was cold, the food was great and the service was the absolute best!! Raina was fantastic!!! This being our first time at Crazy Craig's she made our party of four feel like locals and that we were regulars. Which made our experience at Crazy Craig's the more than we could ask for. So when you go to Crazy Craig's ask for Raina, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Raina for taking care of us and making our experience amazing!!

As soon as we entered, we felt like we were at Cheers. Everybody yelled welcome to the Cheeky Monkey. We found a seat for our party of four and were greeted with complimentary shots within a minute. We were there for drinks and were kept well stocked all night long. The band, Lancaster Station, was awesome. My only complaint, the dance floor was too small, but a great night all the way around.

If you like dive bars this is the place for you. The bright colored animal portraits, the fun drinks and the food is delicious. Russ is an up seller doing his job for sure! No fried food. The brisket is fantastic.

Stumbled across this place on Yelp under "late night eats" in Branson and it was a very interesting place. It's a bar type of establishment with live music, food and drinks. There wasn't much seating when we arrived, it was pretty packed. We caught a table in the back but happened to be right by the stage. The live music was actually pretty good, they put on an excellent show! My only struggle was how loud it was at that table. For the drinks: they were pretty good. As for the food, some was good some not so much. The half rack was seasoned and tender but there was ALOT of fat on them. The rib tips were not rib tips I've ever seen it was more like chopped meat. I was expecting bone in rib tips. The beans and slaw were pretty good no complaints about those. The service was pretty good up until after we got our food then it took a while to flag someone down as our waitress never came back to check on us. Only reason I gave a 3 star. I'd go back.

The food was AMAZING. We got the brisket nachos and they were delicious and a huge serving. The owner and the waitress were both very attentive, told us all the local deals, invited us back etc etc. The vibe is immaculate. It's a little bar but we brought the kids and they really enjoyed it as well. 10/10 experience.

Had a great time at the cheeky monkey bar. It's unique in the area and the barbecue is FANTASTIC! I would go back to the Branson area just to come back to this bar.

We were told by a local, Jeff, to go check out Cheeky Monkey.... Funny name but there is nothing funny about this bar!! We were greeted by Russ with a welcome shout and he helped us out!! Immediately you are greeted with "green tea drink". OMG!! We actually went with a cape cod and they were delicious! The only reason we didn't go with green tea is because we could've had buckets of it!!! Soooo good!!! We were then greeted by GM Kim and she was just a hospitable!! Started with Pulled pork nachos and a combo of ribs and brisket with beans and coleslaw!!! Y'all all we can say is go for it!!! It was all delicious and some great eats!! Thank you Cheeky monkey crew we had a blast!!

Stopped for appetizers. Tried the burnt ends and brisket quesadillas. Incredible!!!! Now neck deep into the platters and every bit is amazing. Hats off to Kim and team for taking us in on a rainy day. Rumor has it the food continues to get hotter with age! 10 years ago it was excellent...... now the food is excellently hot! Pro tip. Try the coconut rum ;)

Great place. Great Rueben sandwich. The waitress was a lot of fun. She gave us samples of the daily drink special which was very good. It's a bar first and foremost so it has a bar atmosphere. Non smoking bar so that is a plus. We were there at an odd time so the place was pretty quiet. I've been to all three Crazy Craig's locations but Cheeky is my favorite.

Wow!! Where to begin? A Branson local recommended this place, then I checked on YELP....4.5 with 300+ reviews. Those two things rarely lead us astray as we travel. This was one of those rare times. It's a "dive" / hole-in-the-wall place. We've had many terrific meals in such places. The servers were very pleasant & welcoming. There was a meat smoker going in the front of the restaurant and the cook said that he was cooking brisket. Being from Texas, that got our interest. One of our foursome had the chicken BLT salad and it was excellent. Two had brisket sandwiches and I had a brisket / sausage combo plate. Sadly, the baked beans and monkey dip appetizer were the highlight of our meals. Worst. Brisket. Ever. Thin, dry, tough. Not quite shoe leather, but close. Terrible!! I can't believe that there are so many great reviews if this is the standard brisket offering. I'll admit that we're spoiled to lots and lots of great Texas BBQ. But this was the saddest brisket ever. Beware!! On a happier note....it becomes a non-smoking establishment on 5/15/24.

Convenient little dive bar with a catchy pun named beverages. Fairly large drink menu with great ingredient descriptions. Some drinks served in "buckets" or other specialty glasses. Drink prices seem slightly higher for the bar type. My pint Voodoo cocktail $10. Most others range from $13-$18. The one thing they excelled on was staff friendliness and hospitality. Each waitress and bartender we met went out of their way to greet us, ask personalized questions, and quickly fill requests. But the restaurant itself was fairly run down and extremely smokey.

Always a great time. The servers go above and beyond to be kind and make you feel welcomed. Tasty drinks and food. It is a smoking place but not horrible. This is a regular stop for us. Strongly recommend!

I'm back again. This place has become a staple for me when visiting Branson. This time I brought some friends with me. We were there for late night drinks. When pulling into the parking lot, you can smell the smoked meat cooking. Walking into the door, we were greeted by a friendly server with a sample shot of monkey fuel. The drink was great. I ordered another one and a curious monkey. Everything was enjoyable. I'll be back again

Want to give a big shout out to Kim and her crew(yo-yo grandma) was our waitress that day and she was fantastic!!!!!! The smokers were going it smelled so good drinks and food really good. Always a great atmosphere.

Looking for a spot that stays open late that serves alcohol! This is your place! The vibe was fun! Definitely met a lot of interesting people lol. The staff was cool always walking around checking on everyone, keeping tables clean. The drinks! Man oh man! Y'all gotta try the bartenders choice and tell them no mango lol it was like fruit punch but not too sweet it was just sweet and fruity deeelish!

We will go back because they know what service means! This is a bar that happens to serve food so it does have a fun, vibrant and at times loud atmosphere. We were greeted by staff members and provided samples of the daily drink which a few in our party opted to order! Others in the party selected other fun drinks from their hilarious Monkey Cocktails! Of course, there are traditional drinks such as beer available by the bucket load I might add! One couple in our group had an issue with their slab of ribs; however, the staff elevated their experience (and ours) by suggesting they provide something that would meet their quality standards and everyone was happy! Just the way the service was handled, the food was delicious and fun cocktails we will definitely go back to this location that we have overlooked for years thinking it was a bikers bar!! Wow we have been missing out!

Stoped in for lunch and a cold beer while passing through and stop at this friendly spot and was quite surprised. People were friendly and the food was good.

This great lady was part of the wait staff the day we were there. She was so sweet and kind. We fell in love with her. She even loaned my sweet man her specs. If ya haven't stopped in, ya need to!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Friendly severs , fast service . The pulled pork and brisket cheese steak was delicious. Fun and entertaining ambiance!!! Kim A was a delight as a server as were all the servers.

I feel like I lost at least 30 days of my life by visiting this establishment. It was filled with smoke (smoking allowed) but one of the only places to grab a late night bite. Food was very mediocre and extremely limited for a bar menu. Service was decent, the best server we had was named Mya, I think. She was extra sweet--but food and environment outside of that was horrid.

Seat yourself and scan the drink & food menus quickly; friendly service is coming! The free shots (different each day) got us started until our real drinks arrived with Chips & Queso & Salsa! A wide array of well-crafted house-drinks can be ordered as regular-size drinks or shots. This is a great idea! Drink faves included 'Monkey See, Monkey Dew' and - of course - 'Monkey Fuel!' The Grilled Chicken sammy was a hit with my wife, and I nearly foundered on the excellent Brisket Quesadilla! Good food, great drinks, friendly servers, clean bathrooms, and a fun atmosphere - this is 5 stars all day & night!

What a fun atmosphere to come for drinks with the girls, a fun night out with friends or family. They have different specials on drink and food available. The bbq here is great. They offer live music and DH on different nights. A must check out place if you like a fun and unique experience. The service is great and the staff take care of you. They even have a fun saying and shots when you walk in.

What a fun place!! We had more fun watching folks walk in and react to the hollered greeting by the staff! The smiles and look around was exactly like ours!! Of course we were immediately greeted, then sat and were greeted again! Every interaction with the staff was super friendly and again, just plain fun! They all took the time to chat, get to know us and allowed us to get to know them! The food and drinks are amazing! Everything with a monkey in the title must be tried!! The rib tips and spicy monkey dip are my most highly recommended menu items and the Grape Ape was my favorite drink. I don't think you can go wrong with anything though!

The food was exceptional and the wait staff were friendly and helpful. Someone is tip skimming at a very large scale. This is the second time this has happened to me at the cheeky monkey.

This is becoming my favorite eating spot when visiting Branson, MO. This time, we ordered a variety of beef brisket, 2 full racks of ribs, smoked beef sausage, pulled pork, and several sides of beans, cole slaw, and potato salad. The barbeque sauce that accompanies the meal is a major bonus for zesty appeal. As expected, there was hardly any food remaining for a hungry party of 7 afterward. I highly recommend this spot, especially on Saturday afternoons during football season. The owners are huge Cornhusker fans and make sure Big Red is represented on the TV screens.

If you are a Nebraskan, let them know you will get the statue for your table. Love this kitschy little place. Servers are amazing. Drinks are good. Prices are pretty good. If I do make it back to Branson, I will be coming back here. And you should too. Want to feel like you are at your local bar. This is the place to be!

We went to Crazy Craig's Cheeky Monkey Bar in Branson after a nighttime show because it was open until 1:30 am We were greeted with a free house special drink. The food was phenomenal! It was smoked there by the front porch. The music, however, was so loud we had to take our food outside. It looked like a dump from the outside, but is really worth the visit.

Great dive bar atmosphere, great people working the place, live music, tasty smoked and grilled meats served late! Will be back for sure when visiting Table Tock!

We had a great time. The staff were energetic and friendly. The food was good and we would definitely go back when we are visiting. A local band was playing and although for me it was a bit loud the rest of the customers didn't seem bothered.

It is always fun to come here... and the BBQ is absolutely AMAZING! I think we just had the best ribs and pulled pork in Branson, maybe in forever!

Went here yesterday evening after a day of swimming , with a friend and our teenage kids just to eat, as soon as we walked in we were pushed away with rudeness from the girl bartender over my daughter having her swimming top on and shorts, in which I told her we are eating outside and just came from swimming, agian was rude , so we went outside and waited at a table , then had to go in and ask for service, the two guy waiters were very nice to us but also made us feel unwelcome at times we spent 140 dollars on a family dinner and the side were little dipping bowls not even enough for one person, will not be going here again!

Delicious drinks and helped us celebrate our 'anniversary with a drink! We had excellent service also!! Highly recommend

Fun bar with live music, pool table and fun bucket drinks - beers, rum, margaritas etc. be prepared because it's very loud and you might want/need to share your table with others because most tables are big enough to sit 6. Didn't try the food but fun place to go for drinks with atmosphere

Traveling from Texas. Great bar service but asked for half slab of ribs. They were so bad even a server and one of the "pit cookers" came over and apologized. Some of the worst we have ever had. After apologizing, still had the nerve to charge us $22 for them. I mean...really? Won't ever go back.

Visiting the area, Crazy Craig's Cheeky Monkey Bar was a close food option and we loved everything about it! The staff was extremely welcoming, the drinks were great and the food was fantastic. We had the brisket nachos and pulled pork quesadillas and both were fantastic. We will definitely be making an attempt to stop back in before leaving town.

Service was good, food was pretty good, drinks were great! Smoking bar didn't realize that upon arrival. This is probably a good place for social people who don't mind people smoking. We should have read that in the website so that's on us. Service was extremely fast too, that was great!

I think some of the reviews are for the Cheeky Monkey in Fall Creek. The location in Branson has been open less than a year and they are a no smoking facility. Unless something has changed since the last time we were there in March, 2024. The food is really good, especially the Burgers!

Was told when visiting Branson you have to come here so not sure was I was expecting. It was def a "happening place". They get very busy and when we walked in it was standing room only. A negative for me was there is smoking allowed inside. Not a fan. Left smelling horrible of cigarettes. Another negative was we ordered the rum punch bucket off someone's recommendation. Tasted like pure sugary juice with no alcohol. Shared the brisket nachos which were also just ok. They were cold. Not what I expected also. One positive is they have live music, lots of dancing, people have fun. Just did not like the drinks, food or cigarettes so it was a miss for me.

Don't use a card here! We had a tab for $45.00 and a few days later we saw on our statement that $102 was deducted from our account. Don't get me wrong, we always tip 20%, but we did not tip $57 for some buckets of beer and 2 shots. We called to try and speak with a manager, left our information, and no one ever returned our call. If you decide to go, bring cash. Super shady.

OMG! I love a dive and has to be one of the best I have ever found! When you walk in the staff and patrons cheer you welcome you (just smile and wave) and you are also greeted with a shot of the drink of the day. Who doesn't love that kind of hospitality? Only down side was there is smoking inside but they do offer a shaded patio so... ‍... we just went with it. Drinks were great. I ordered the Curious Monkey (bartender's choice), no clue what it was but it was awesome. So awesome in fact my husband took it and I had to order another (again no clue what was in it). This one was different but equally tasty. The food was also very good. We had the brisket nachos and pizza. Definitely a hidden jewel. Highly recommend!
