Lovely shop for gifts and souvenirs if you’re traveling. The aesthetic is amazing and clearly curated by someone with an eye for design. I found some unique gifts there that I wasn’t able to find anywhere else. Also had a lovely conversation with the owner, Amie. Make sure to add this to the top of your list for shopping in Queenstown.

I had a troubling experience here with my husband. While browsing the store, we noticed a woman repeatedly following us closely as we moved through the store. She did not offer assistance or identify herself as staff. As we moved around the store, she appeared nearby on two occasions, closely tracking our movements rather than engaging in any normal customer service interaction. There were other customers in the store, but this attention appeared directed only at us. There was already a visible security camera in the vicinity where we were browsing, which made the continued close monitoring feel unnecessary and uncomfortable. Eventually, we stopped & asked her directly whether she worked there, at which point she confirmed that she was a staff member. Regardless of intent, this felt intrusive and unsettling. The experience felt racialised, given that we were closely monitored while other customers were not. It is not something we would wish to be repeated or for anyone else to experience.

Such an amazing gift shop! Would highly recommend to all visitors who are looking for unique and great quality souvenirs/gifts. This store sets itself apart from all other typical gift shops that all sell the same tacky stuff that isn't always true to NZ culture. Will definitely visit again when we return to Queenstown

Such a great boutique of beautiful products for home, beauty and kids! So nice being way from the city Center. Definitely worth a visit :) Purchased some cute handmade baby products, love it!

Easily my favourite little shopping spot in Queenstown. The Barn has the most beautiful furniture pieces, stylish and accessible wall pieces, the most gorgeous children’s clothing and toys and awesome handbags, sunglasses and nick nacks. Got a birthday gift or baby shower gift to buy... The Barn. Need something for your house... The Barn. Want to treat yourself ... THE BARN. The worst thing about the place is that you’ll probably never leave empty handed.
