"On a beaten path, on an off-day While many walked through the streets of the small town, I decided to head along the river and came across this beautiful view of Lake Brienz. By Lisa Harvey"

That’s cave is a great experience and worth one visit. This can be an educational also for kids. There are various spots in the cave that provide information about the history and science behind the cave and different types of lime residue formation. This can be a great experience for kids. Reaching this place is also convenient but with lesser bus frequency. If you are traveling by car, they have limited space for parking and they charge flat 8 CHF (as of Oct 2025). You can either pay the parking by card, cash or use EasyPark app.

Amazing experience. Nice and cool inside the cave. It goes very deep into the mountain. If you are tall, you’ll need to stoop a little through many sections. Food is pretty pricey, but that’s everywhere in Switzerland really. A 500ml bottle of still water was 5 CHF.

Very nice cave, about 2 km long. Great place for visit. My tips: 1) Because there is cold inside, better to bring a jacket, no matter how hot it is outside. 2) The best way to arrive at 10:00 by car or by bus, because there are very few parking spots available and less people will be inside. 3) Leave your bag and huge things in the car, because before entering to the cave there are a 1 km upstairs.

Very nice caves, about 1km long after the entrance. It's always cold inside, so remember to bring a jacket, no matter how hot it is outside. The best way to arrive is by bus, because there are very few parking spots available and it's a much longer way up from the boat. But well worth the visit.

Amazing natural place! Walk up is steep, walk briefly. Enjoy your own pace and have a break at the cafe before viewing the scenic beautiful cave and sound of the water was incredible. You can go into a small museum and shop after too.

It's quite a steep climb to the entrance, not suitable for people with elderly or people who aren't physically in good shape. The views from top are amazing at sunset. If you're into caves then it's a nice one time visit.

I’ve been to quite a few cave systems throughout Thailand, Laos, and even Fiji and this was definitely the best I’ve ever been to! It was only a short 1 mile walk from the bottom of the hill throughout the entire caves and then back down the hill. The caves system is very impressive, but the waterfals are obviously what makes this a must visit in my opinion. I went on a rainy day and the temperature inside was perfect, I didn’t even need to wear my coat.

You have to visit this cave. It has a rich history and its about 30mins of walking, and spans 926m deep into the cave. Along the way you see so many different formations of rocks and there is even an Grand-Tour landmark photo booth towards the end.
