Had a sunny day walking around the neighborhood and found this lovely shop I passed by so many times. Which I thought just a gift shop, however they have got so many nice illustration book as well! I collect illustration books but never think I can just found many good books on lygon st next to my home. Friendly and warm people and nice designers products for all age.

My go to place when I need to buy gifts or find the perfect card. Lovely selection of items by local artists and quite simply a beautifully presented space. Staff are very helpful and attentive and I always enjoy my visits here.

I'm just a little bit in love with everything here... especially the custom Monsieur Truffe chocolate bars! Milk chocolate with popping candy wrapped in a Emily Green designed wrapper? YES PLEASE!

It's pay day, your best mate's birthday is this weekend and you're feeling particularly generous. If you've ticked all these boxes you simply NEED to come to Five Boroughs in East Brunswick. Here you will find all the finer things in life - locally designed jewellery, delightfully smelly soaps, adorable baby booties, Danish-style desks and coffee table books for days - I mean, the list goes on! I popped in to buy a 30th birthday present for my dear friend and instead walked out with a soft leather wallet from Melbourne label Status Anxiety for myself. WHOOPS. SOZZLE! It is simply one of those stores that you will want to buy everything but will become broke in doing so. But hey, if you want to shop hardcore you've got to pay hardcore.

This section of Brunswick East's Lygon Street is slowly improving with interesting bars, cafes and shops opening up here and there. This little oasis of fine design has done more than its fair share of bringing some much needed design beauty to the area. Stepping out of the concrete and traffic of Lygon St and into this shop is like suddenly feeling a cool breeze on one's skin on a blazing, hot day. Dotted all over the shop are simply lovely things - woolly scarves featuring pretty patterns, tiny t-shirts with cute animals prints on them for toddlers, ceramic treasures that you can too easily see sitting on the coffee table or the kitchen shelves at home, fanciful pieces of art, jewellery, accessories. It's gift heaven. And what's nicer than the joy of giving? Buying something to take home for yourself.
