Gotham Burger Social Club

This is a solid place to grab a Smashburger. The staff was friendly, which was a nice surprise for New York. It took about ten minutes to seat a group of six on a Saturday night even though it was pretty busy. I got the classic Smashburger with a side of onion rings. The burger was juicy with a good amount of sauce, jalapeños were a nice touch. The onion rings were the standout item for me. They have a big selection of sauces which is a win. The ghost pepper ranch was interesting to try, but the classic house sauce was the one I liked most. A good spot if you are craving a Smashburger downtown.

Solid smash burgers! I also enjoyed the chopped cheese taco, and the tots were actually the best thing we had, crispy and crunchy and soft in the middle. I think maybe because of how hyped this place is I was a *little bit disappointed in the burger itself but it was still good. My biggest issue was that it was not that hot for some reason. It had great maillard reaction and a nice crust, solid flavor and all the toppings. They have beers on tap and cans too which is nice. Not cheap by any means but not too pricey. Overall a great place with a cool vibe. It's somewhere in between fast food and table service though, and imo they should just pick one or the other.

These burgers were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had, and I don’t even visit burger spots in NYC that often. The patties were perfectly crispy on the outside yet juicy inside, with melty cheese and soft, fresh buns tying it all together. Honestly, they were better than my own burgers! The fries were nicely seasoned, simple but done right with a good hit of salt. My order came out fast too, maybe around 8 minutes, which is always a plus. And shoutout to them for offering a discount for my services, definitely appreciated. I’d definitely come back here again when I’m back in the area and craving a burger.

The pickle fries are delicious, honestly the best thing here. One of the best burgers I’ve had in NYC, and I highly recommend it. The taco is terrible, don’t order it. The onion rings are nothing special, and the hot dog is just okay. The place is usually crowded and it’s hard to get a table.

The food was really good, however it wasn’t what I had asked for. I asked for a bacon cheese burger with fries. I got the fries but the burger was something completely different. Again the food was really good but Jose or whoever took my order did a poor job at listening.

We had the classic burgers they were delicious. For the sides, we got the onion rings, tater tots and fried pickles. The tater tots were our favorites. The fried pickles were okay they were just a little too thickly cut. We also tried the ghost pepper ranch, which is really good! Our only complaint was that the ice machine had ran out of ice and the soda for some reason was a little flat, even though it was coming out out of the machine.

Great place, my daughter saw this on TikTok and we just happen to be in the area and decided to stop in. The concept of ordering and then the staff getting you a table is great and well organized. The “hostess” who was actually the owner was very nice and welcoming . The food is well priced and cooked really well. The club sauce was great and really added flavor to the burger. I got the double smash and the frickles. The burger was good for sure, but I'm not sure it lived up to the hype for me personally. The patties had a great seared crust and the burger sauce was yummy but I thought they could've used a bit more seasoning and the bun was a tad too soft for this application imo. Still a good burger, I would recommend it. The price wasn't too bad either. The frickles had a nice crispy crust, and the buffalo blue cheese sauce I got with them was wonderful. All in all a good place to get some smashburgers, I would recommend it if you're nearby and craving a smash but I wouldn't go out of your way for it.
