Dish Bistro & Wine Bar

The food was fantastic! The fried Brussel Sprouts are a must. And the summer white Sangria was a great ending to a tough day. The Pesto Pizza was different and so perfect. Finishing the meal with Earl Grey Creme Brulee, yummy! Also photographed: Duck Empanadas, Fried Calamari and Key Lime Mousse.

The blue cheese chicken meatballs are crazy good. Got the Verte cocktail which was delicious, and only $9! Got the chicken tacos and parmesan truffle fries which were also great. Only negative comment is it took quite a long time to get our food despite the place not being too busy, but the food and drinks were definitely worth the wait and I'll be going back soon!

This has to be my favorite restaurant of all time. I have never had one thing to complain about! The service is great and the food is amazing, AMAZING! Chef Peter makes my taste buds come alive. DISH is what good food is all about. If you have not been there, make plans to go! You WILL NOT be disappointed. My son and his wife came home from Portugal for a visit and we went there for dinner. His order came with fries and he was not expecting anything but ordinary french fries. I was delighted at his reaction. He just could not believe how delectable the fries with truffle oil were. Even the most common foods are not common at Dish. ENJOY!

My husband and I enjoy going out to dinner and have tried and enjoyed many establishments in Mahopac and the surrounding areas. Dish is hands down the absolute best we’ve had. The menu is fresh and inventive. The chef is constantly introducing new and delicious options to the menu while keeping the standards that many of us have come to love and crave. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We continue to come back simply because it’s exemplary in every aspect. I can not recommend strongly enough that everyone experience it for themselves.

I came in for dinner one night and Danielle was my server. I must say the atmosphere is incredible. i love all the pictures on the walls that show chef peters experience with different cultures and food all over the world. the food itself shows the intense cultural diversity in chef peters traveling. the food is absolutely incredible and the service is awesome. amazing selection of rare delicious beers from all over the world as well as wines. I recommend this restaurant to any food wine and beer enthusiasts everywhere.

I brought a good friend of mine to Dish for his Birthday. Immediately we were impressed with the cozy atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant. As two very indecisive people, the menu was over whelming. The charming and polite waiter and bartender helped each of us pick everything from our drink choices and appetizers down to dessert. The tuna bites, prawn, salmon, duck, and peanut butter pie were all outstanding. Between the food and the service Id recommend Dish with my highest regards. I will definitely be going back to see Paul and Rich and let them recommend my entire meal!

Our waitress was VERY friendly and courteous. My son who is vegan had many questions about the menu and our waitress was informative about how certain dishes were made and took special requests with the ingredients. We did have to wait for our food a little bit but I am okay with that. It really wasn't too bad. Especially since the food was amazing. Very tasty!!!!! And who can complain about enjoying family time while waiting for a fabulous meal. Definitely recommend trying this restaurant especially if you are looking to try something new and out of the box.
