The variety and styling are fantastic, but the staff take it to another level. Summer was amazing. She was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and so incredibly helpful. She has such a great sense of fashion and is such an asset to this exceptional vintage shop.

I LOVE this place!! Every time i visit, it’s a must for me to stop by and I ALWAYS find a little treasure to treasure! Prices are so good and fair. A must visit for anyone who loves a good vintage find.

One of my fave vintage shops in Austin! Feather’s Vintage is such a gem on South Congress. The style and curation are amazing, and it’s one of the few shops that has stood the test of time while so much around it has changed. Every time I pop in, it makes me happy!!!

Had a super weird interaction with the girl with baby bangs at checkout. I wanted to take a pair of sunglasses next door while I continue to shop and I misunderstood that feathers isn’t connected to prototype vintage. I swear it was years ago? She came off super hostile.. I understand what it’s like to work retail and it’s definitely not for everyone. Definitely could have been more patient and went about the conversation differently. Update: This response misrepresents what happened. I was not rude or disruptive. I was spoken to dismissively by staff, which is why I left my review. Reframing my experience as a customer behavior issue instead of addressing how your employees spoke to me is inaccurate. My review reflects the interaction accurately.

I’ve been coming here forever. The best in Austin. Rare Levi’s, to couture vintage to unusual once in a lifetime pieces. It’s a can’t miss!!!

This is hands down the best vintage clothing boutique in Austin. I've been a regular here for many years. The owner curates the store and she has impeccable taste! I always receive so many compliments when I wear my Feathers Finds! They have designer, rare and beautiful clothing, as well as jewelry. The employees are always friendly and happy to help with sizing and styling as well.

The clothing was right from my cuildhood. It is a quaint & upscale clothing store. Real concert t-shirts, soft and beautiful cotton. Oscar de Larenta dress, Cher style leather jackets snd jeans. Beautiful real & costime jewelry. The costume jewelry then was of such great quality, hands diwn better than what is made now. Sterling silver, gold, turqoise (real) not crunched up treated junk. What a find! Staff was sweet. They purchase vintage items as well.

Interesting stuff but no one greeted me but said hello to my husband who was right behind me. Really? In a shop full of women's clothing? Honestly, the thing I loved the most was the fabric that was used as a fitting room curtain.

Some cute items and not so cute attitude from staff in there. Not a welcoming greeting, not a how can I help you, not even a let me move out of the way so you can look. Cold hipster vibes.

SO bummed to have to post this review. I LOVE vintage and this store is fabulous, but I am beyond disappointed in my last purchase from this shop. I paid $40 for an Italian acetate hair clip that the sales woman told me was amazing and of really great quality. I'm not one to spend $40 on a clip but would invest in something thats made to last (why I love vintage) I used the clip for about two weeks and it broke. I went back into the shop and explained the situation and asked if they could exchange for another clip so I could try it again. The person working at the counter was not open at all to entertaining this idea and shut it down immediately stating that "they don't know what happens when you leave the store" To be totally honest I was super surprised that they wouldn't entertain the idea because they seem like a very well run business but in my mind this makes me never want to shop there again and I would caution other customers to shop there.

Oldie but a goodie. Feathers was one of the first places that I visited when I got to Austin. It was my first day as a transfer student at UT so, unsurprisingly, I hadn't made any friends yet. Instead of staying in my dorm room and passing time, I decided to hop on a cap metro bus and just see where it would take me. My first stop was in SOCO where I came across Feathers and it was just such a cool, vintage, quiet store that had beautiful pieces of clothing/ shoes/ bags etc. and I landed my first Southwestern style bag for a pretty good price (only $50-$60). I finally came back to visit the store this past weekend after 4 long years and the store is just as hip as it was before. My friend was able to get a skirt that she loved for quite a deal and I was able to reminisce on my past experience there. I would highly recommend checking this place out and say it's a solid 10/10. My advise: come here if you are looking for a staple outfit piece. Feathers is a little on the pricey side if you are going for just casual shopping. I'd go if you want something unique to spruce up an outfit and have something specific that you are shopping for.

Everyone I know has had an issue with this boutique at one point or another. I never had until recently. I bought a pair of overpriced vintage jeans that were mislabeled the wrong style - 517 instead of the 509 that they actually were. They fit a little different than all my other 517's but figured I was hot and sticky so it was fine because all 517s fit the same right? Since it's 100 degrees in Austin TX I threw them in my closet and threw away the receipt because, why not? All sales final and they were 517s, right? I returned home from a work trip to some unseasonably cool weather and went to wear my new jeans - but they still fit odd. So I looked at the inside tag, the one that faded and would have had to have been looked at by whatever employee at Feathers who tagged them. 509. That's why they fit a little off. Since everyone that pays a premium at a vintage store shouldn't have to worry that the item was vetted and labeled correctly - I figured NBD, they'll understand because they labeled it wrong and I shop there a lot and I live in the hood, right? Wrong. All sales final is all they kept repeating, even admitting they made an error and carelessly labeled it wrong, and even after talking to the owner on the phone, just like a robot "all sales final". I could see if they were missing the tag, or worn in any way, but the only thing I didn't have was the receipt which is a moot point when the style on the tag doesn't match the style on the inside tag behind the pocket. That being said: double check every tag on all the denim there. I'm sure more than mine are mislabeled and this whole post might seem trivial to most but if you appreciate vintage denim you know style numbers are really important and if I wanted to have to be the one to decipher what all the faded tags read, I'd go dig for the denim myself in the salvage houses. There's a lot to be said about a retail store that blatantly admits fault and won't correct it - and if your business is struggling so much that you can't do a $118 chargeback and re-sell the item when it's the STORE'S ERROR, then your business is failing. This isn't about the money, it's more about principle and realizing there's always an exception to a rule, especially in a circumstance such as this. Anyone looking for dope vintage should go to Garment, Laced with Romance or even next door to Prototype. Feathers is played out and obviously struggling with the rising rents on Congress Avenue.

Very small,quaint Retro Vintage boutique Very nice employees and if you are looking for old school jeans ESP Levi This is the place! They carry many 80's and 90's bathing suits as well! Highly recommend dropping in to bring memories of your Favorite years!

If you go to one vintage boutique in Austin, venture to this superb, well-curated and non-pretentious shop tucked off the main drag of S.Congress. The selection of clothing ranges from delicate Victorian blouses, to flight suits, vintage jeans, and funky furry coats is exquisite and fairly priced for their excellent condition. Keep on the lookout for one-of-a-kind jewelry, both by local and international artisans. Love love love Feathers! Oh and a bonus, they are dog lovers

bought a little tiny vintage beaded vest that I read to say $48 receipt said $160. would never have paid that much. won't honor a return . look closely to items as shedding and ripped. so disappointing

I love coming here to get inspired and I'm always so fascinated with the way the staff can elevate almost any piece just by styling it a new way or coming up with different uses for things. They are not afraid to take risks or try something new and they are honest and up front with how they operate and make a visible effort to accommodate everyone with multiple price points and fits for different style profiles. They have innocent, glam, lascivious, tough, minimalist, classic you name it but it all feels very true to the aesthetic and chosen for a reason. The price point is fair for the level of curation, location and rarity of some of the pieces they can find and you can trust them to pick pieces that excite even the most casual vintage enthusiast. They also have home goods that are unique and cool but so fairly priced! This store celebrates local artists and creators and I really think no matter who you are you will benefit merely by perusing what they have and asking questions. Needless to say this is my favorite store and I'm lucky it's been open for the entire 10 years I've lived here.

Worst experience I've had in a store. I work retail and know that how the employees acted was not okay. went in over a year ago and the worker accused my friends and I of shoplifting when we did not. She patted my friend down (and didn't find anything obviously.) and then made a rude comment towards my other friend , body shaming her. I wish I could rate it 0 stars. Don't go in if you expect to have a good time !

The owners of this store know exactly what kind of woman they're shopping for: cool, confident and sexy. Of course, Feathers carries mostly '70s and '80s vintage clothing, from dresses to elastic belts to pewter belt buckles to owl jewelry (!) to sparkly, acrylic sweaters - and TONS of shoes and tall boots. I have honestly never seen so many cool vintage boots in one place, except a few boutiques in New York. I bought a very cute navy and yellow, Indonesian batik (I don't know if it's real or manufactured), sleevless dress. It skims by body oh-so-flatteringly and it was only $30. Actually, that's $5 more than I'd be willing to pay but I'm sure the rent in SoCo is fantastically horrific.

Popped in to browse and ended up finding some really special pieces (none of which fit unfortunately, but still.) I was greeted with a kind hello, which is rare to find. Needless to say, the girl working was really nice. Everything was fairly priced, with the exception of a few rather expensive band tees but that was sort of expected. I wish I lived closer as this is an incredible shop. Will 100% return next time I'm in Austin.

I used to love this store. But management is pretty petty... Simply put their clothes are subpar. And the constant promoting suffering and torture (animals) is just plain ugly. It may seem nice to you that you can get a "deal". But anal electrocution and being skinned alive is no deal at all. Would you allow this to happen to your dog? O, gasp! Never Same dam thing. This place is definitely living in the past. The wrong side of history. I mean we banned ivory didn't we?!

My Austin go-to for high quality vintage items. There are no strange smells or damaged merchandise here l. I love the way things are styled here, it's really inspiring.

Another beautiful vintage store on South Congress. I found here a gorgeous little velvet jacket and a classic black handbag. Am very happy with my finds and would certainly come back here to shop. The store is very well organised and taken care off. Even its vintage it has a very clean new feel and all items are in amazing new condition. The sales assistants are very sweet. It was a joy to shop here. I highly recommend it ! ! !

The selection was very minimal, vintage was all in great preloved condition. Loved their antique dresses! Price point was higher than usual but clothing was well preserved. Was a little offended with the staff who would not allow me to try on one of their "really expensive" "rare" pieces because they didn't want me to "rip" it... they then asked me what my measurements were and once I told them they basically said I wouldn't fit into their precious dress. I do understand, these are one of a kind pieces. I had I my wished they would have spoken in a way that didn't make me feel self conscious about my body. Very unprofessional in my opinion. They also keep reminded me not to tear the dresses I was trying on, as if I didn't understand the concept of putting one on. Will not be going back based on customer service alone. Would have thought Austin would be more mindful of triggering words like "your too big for this dress". Some people have body disorders, you never know who's day you may be ruining.

Overpriced crap for posers. It sounded so great we walked over here for a special trip but old, worn out boots with a bit of polish and a whole bunch of individual "items" overpriced for people who don't know how to shop. Bring it on, Manhattan!

I was very excited about this boutique, bought a $140 pair of jeans after the sales person convinced me they looked so great, and also a $200 bolo necklace. The next morning I decided I didn't want or need the jeans so went back to the store to return them! The sales person never verbally mentioned all sales were final and there was only a small sign on the wall that i didn't notice, when I went to return the jeans to the same sales person who sold me the jeans, she was SUPER rude and wouldn't even let me exchange for store credit! NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, first I had a 5 star review posted but after that experience I hope this post warns other people before they purchase anything from that store.

Scheduled a selling appointment with them and the owner left mid day without rescheduling etc. I showed up for my appointment and basically was told she left and was going out of town for a week and I was "out of luck" I left but was actually upset at the amount of effort and time it took to try and sell so I called right back & left my name and number for the owner to call and reschedule. 2 weeks pass, Heard nothing. Commented on their ig & Finally received a message from the owner saying she left and forgot she had an appt with me and I could reschedule what's good for me. After reading the message I Attempted to reschedule and her response was she didn't have any available appointments this week but could try next week. Not only did I lug a ton of clothes over there once and not get to sell on HER error but now she couldn't fit me in because she was full? This place is a joke and NOT a place that shows respect to its customers. Sell with Moss or Garment Modern if you have exclusive vintage and designer pieces. This place will waste your time! Also the people who work here are rude & completely uneducated on vintage/archival designer & it's pretty evident that they discriminate . It's actual quite comical that someone working in a "second hand" boutique can act so uppity and flagrantly snobby.

I hate to write a "meh" review after so many glowing ones below me down the page, but when I entered "Feathers" I was expecting much more than what I found. My observation? Overpriced, boring, conceited. You could buy everything in this store scattered along S. Congress for half what they wanted at Feathers. I found most of the vintage pieces to be too dated/stale and not very fresh and modern/flexible as good vintage should be. The girl up front didn't pay much attention to my friend and I as we perused all three rooms and eventually started trying things on. When we went up to pay for an item she wasn't overly friendly, either. I walked into just about everything that was on S. Congress between Joes and Feathers Boutique and I have to say this was my least favorite store. Scored much better stuff (for much better prices) at SVdeP and the flea market...

There are a lot of old people in north Jersey. Apparently, they were, at one point, very fashionable younger people, probably the type who hit NYC for some Donna Summer and a disco stroll now and again. The most important thing to note about these old folks: they die. Their funky, gently worn 70s clothes make their way to Goodwills and Salvation Armys in abundance, and you can find something fabulous for $10 or less throughout the tri-state area. This is how I got a plaid button down for $4 that I only recently realized is vintage Yves Saint Laurent. I've been wearing it to sleep for years. This is not the case in Austin, where, as in Indiana, many thrift store clothes have been worn to the bone, likely passed down to several people before arriving, exhausted and hoping for death, to a Goodwill near you. But sometimes Feathers has some pretty sweet items, though note that you are paying a premium for them having sorted through the aforementioned thread piles of sadness. I recently obtained a non-vintage black netting tank top littered, appropriately, with shiny black feathers ($24). The (*new!*) men's rack contained items which, while cool, are on the steep-pricing side (ex: $45 for a vintage Levi's plaid button down). The boy was not impressed. But you can accidentally run into something fabulous under $30. I'm lying: under $50. And, having come from the state everyone makes fun of but no one understands, I'd sooner part with a Jackson than a Grant for something nifty. Nifty rhymes with thrifty, and I like rhymes. Got it?

If you do not appreciate vintage you will not appreciate Feathers. I found ridiculous and beautiful things in this place, I can just spend hours and hours browsing through this shop as if this is a museum except you can really buy them and call it your own. The jewelry is a steal if you can untangle them. I bought an evening short dress and a pair of shoes that look brand new but needed some extra glue to hold it together. Still, I love the shoes!

Serious props to feathers. The bars on the door don't give it away to be the really awesome vintage clothing store that it is. As mentioned before everything is colored coded, the items look like they were hand picked. High quality, flattering, interesting cuts. ( I found out later that this is a store that works on consignment. My friend Jen gets all of her clothes from this store, and now I know why!) I bought a dress. A beautiful 50's housewife style dress with an awesome neckline and a red cinch belt. It almost fits and I bought it anyways. I paid 24 for the dress and 12 for the belt and did not feel guilty. Not one bit. Its hard to find, but you'll be glad you found it when you do.

Best vintage boutique in Austin. Hands down! The owner has an incredible eye for vintage. I find something there every time I stop in, and she gets new stuff in often. I'm surprised at the review of the "scowling" service person....the owner has always been really nice and helpful every time I've been in. I actually like her a lot. Don't pass this place up. And make sure to check out the jewelry counters, because there is some awesome jewelry! Also, don't miss the sale rack in the back by the fitting rooms. This place has been featured in Lucky (and I think a few other magazines), and rightfully so. It's not overpriced for quality, hand-picked vintage. You're sure to find something you love!

It's a cute store but the vintage boot selection was very small. They had like maybe 10 pairs. There was a good selection of vintage clothing and bags. There prices were reasonable. I'm not sure I would go back. They just didn't have much of a selection of boots.

I hadn't gotten into vintage clothing until I stepped foot in this store! One of my Austin friends was always ranting about it and finally got me to go one day! I was oh so happy they convinced me to go!~ They have am zing pieces with amazing price tags! --Around $50 for real fur coats-what a steal! Great jewelry, dress, scarves, etc.. You can spend some great quality time here-never walking out empty handed! I love it,love it, love it! I still haven't found a vintage shop quite like it!~oh and the clerks are super friendly!!

I went on a vintage prowl with my little sister today. It's hard to review vintage stores since I tend to favor places where I find things I like and as I always say, with vintage it's always hit or miss. One thing I can comment on is that it really ruins the experience when the service person has a permanent scowl on her face. Maybe I'm asking too much, but I generally like talking to customer service people who like their jobs. It could be I'm nit picky, but considering that I've been to 6 vintage stores today and that attitude is the only memorable wart on my ass - maybe I'm not so nit picky, or everyone else just likes their jobs. Now on to the clothes. They were Ok. The shoes were arranged nicely so it wouldn't be that much of a scavenger hunt. That's about all I can remember. Things were moderately priced in the $20-$40 of what I looked at. They have a sale section consisting of things $5-$8.

My cousin ordered clothes here and they were the perfect fit and look. Can't wait until I get to shop this boutique.

My favorite shop in Austin. Don't miss it. I always check it out when I visit. Why? Hand selected vintage clothes at reasonable prices. I love the styles and the amount of clothes the store displays at one time. Most other vintage clothing shops cram tons of racks in the space, but this boutique layout makes it much easier to appreciate their great finds. I met one of the Project Runway stars in town for fashion week here. I'll have to post that picture. Super Fun!

By far my favorite vintage store in Austin. Their buyers are BRILLIANT. I loved everything and if I had more money, I would have bought out the whole store. I live in New York, and I'm actually telling you, it beats most of our over-priced vintage/thrift stores. The people who run the place are so kind and sweet and gave us great recs for things to do in Austin. I loved supporting this place because its well-priced and well curated.

They carry Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Le sigh. This fact in and of itself warrants a four star rating. Another huge point winner is that the boutique is actually organized and clean. Sometimes vintage stores are so impossible to manage because there are too many options crowded into the same space. I'm not a pro shopper and I tend to suffer from stimulus overload so keeping things simple is a major plus! Very cool pieces here. Lust-worthy I would say. There's a fabulous patchwork fur coat that if I did not live in Texas where it only gets cold enough once a year to wear it and I wouldn't feel incredibly guilty the entire time I wore it; I would buy in an instant. I would probably never take it off, buy some obnoxiously loud and dangly earrings, sit on my tush and make being generally glamorous my profession. Luckily, I was rational and bought a nice pair of functional flat black boots. (Pats self on back) Needless to say, this is a great splurge store. A little pricier than the average vintage shop, but worth it.

My first purposeful vintage shopping outing... Feathers was the highlight of the 4 or 5 stores we explored. Beautiful clothes (all different decades), fabulous boots (mostly tiny sizes--WHY don't I have size 6 or 6.5 feet!?). Although a lot of the GORGEOUS pieces were high dollar--there were definitely still items priced in the affordable range as well. You can tell that the owner/buyer really cares about the merchandise she gets in. They even had a stunning dress made by Marilyn Monroe's dressmaker...niiice Staff were not so friendly. They had their moments of kindness and were great w/ helping get a fitting room. At one point I took a dress up to the front w/ a broken zipper and was blamed for breaking it. hmm. or not? I told them that that was how I found it, was then given a snide remark on how they never carry broken or malfunctioning items and was I SURE I didn't break it. That just kind of turned the visit sour. I want to come back when it's just me and I have time to browse and enjoy. Maybe buy that killer dress I tried on too if it's still there...

I don't know why I'm just now discovering this gem & I'm a little embarrassed I've lived in Austin for 2 years & just learned about this spot a couple days go. It's adorable, cool, chic and the store is well laid out. Tucked on a side street off S Congress this shop carries a wide variety of vintage pieces. The two gals working the front were super helpful. I was on a mission to find a friend a specific dress & they jumped to help me the moment I asked. I only had 30 min to look around & I wish I had a whole afternoon to swoon over all the beautiful clothes, boots and accessories. SO many beautiful clothes. They do offer a sales rack & you can rent items- they charge 30% of the retail price for a 72 hour rental. You can't rent sale items but looking at the price tags if you find something on sale it's worth buying. I've found my new favorite store in Austin & I'm so excited to fill my wardrobe with their clothes and accessories! (Follow them on instagram to see all their new arrivals!)

Yelpers you let me down ;( I was so excited about this place after reading all these rave reviews just to find out that this is another mumu and cowboy shirt heaven like every other vintage "boutique" I've been running into. But I did find the only 5$ item in the store and bought it, a way cute green shirt! Tons of owl jewellery, why are owls an "it" item now? Oh well. Be prepared to park at least four blocks away.

Pricey, but fabulous... and the whole store always smells like cinnamon! If you ordinarily don't like the idea of used clothing, this may be the place for you to begin your exploration of Austin vintage and thrift. I absolutely love to come here and look. Would give it higher ratings if it weren't for the high prices and the staff, which tends to be slightly less friendly than the average Austinite. However, this is THE spot in town for vintage designer. They don't stock huge variety in terms of sizes, but everything in this boutique is usually chic, adorable, and oh-so-much fun. I like to come here and comb the racks for the rare bargain (i dare to dream) or to splurge on an accessory that will make my thrift store finds really shine. Definitely check out the belt collection--it's always fantastic and usually a little more reasonably priced. The jewelry rocks too. And don't miss the classic old-school Playboy magazines for some peek-a-boo coffee table scandal.

Scored a lovely Lillie Rubin white maxi dress with red and blue polka dots for $48! Very Marni-esque. Funky jewelry and accessories. Should have gotten that amazing feather (real feathers, mind you, and not some putrid neon color) boa. Stupid, stupid!

Honestly I love the place. I just got myself some sweet duds there this past weekend. Pros: great finds, clean dressing rooms, easy to navigate space, attentive staff. Cons: On the pricey side AND. Ehhh. Let me explain I have a rising dislike for this "too cool for school" attitude that's been raging in Austin recently. We're a cool fun town to be in because we don't act like we're too cool. At least that's how it used to be. Feathers is just one of those places that attracts the wrong kind of Austinites in my opinion--but as one of the "it" places for vintage that's to be expected. All that said I love the clothes and I think they have a great thing going here; so I'm not letting the negative customers ruin my fun!

I accidentally wandered in there through (literally) Mi Casa - it was like finding a secret room in an old mansion. Unfortunately, I was on a budget, and the clothing and shoes on the $5-and-under rack were there for a reason. Why can't I ever get a Gunne Sax skirt for $5? The prices were boutiquey, but not outrageously so. I could have bought that Gunne Sax skirt for the $30 it was marked at and not have felt too guilty. There were a couple of things I found unique about this shop: the clothing is all separated by color, which is a wonderful thing for an OCD shopper. Also, they sold recycled notebooks made out of old books: the small ones were $12, the larger ones $15. Cool gift items! I'll just have to go back and see if that Gunne Sax skirt made it to the clearance rack.

Emily is a true fashion lover who really knows her stuff, and has a great eye for vintage. This boutique specializes in 'bohemian' and Americana, with some classics and trends mixed in for good measure. Artisan jewelry and gifts are stocked as well, in addition to Alchemy brand t's. What I love most about Feathers is it's presentation. The way the racks are organized (and frequently reorganized) by color and/or theme makes for not only a pleasing visual, but a very user friendly experience. Most locals avoid shopping on SoCo due to the shortage of parking, but they'll make the pilgrimage for Feathers. This is more than just a store. It's a landmark and destination in and of itself.

Visited today, and the store is well curated but the manager has a nasty attitude. Not worth my time or my $$$...on to the next one!!

Great store. It is simply the greatest vintage store here in Austin. Unlike a lot of vintage stores that have merchandise EVERYWHERE, everything at feathers is well curated and edited and styled that is easily shoppable. I especially like their array of accessories, like their belts that are so easy to wear! The price points are great too! Definitely check this place out...

I've recently traveled to Austin on my vacation a week or two ago and definitely had Feathers on my To-do list. I've followed their Instagram account as well as other social media accounts for awhile and I loved their bohemian vibe, which is similar to mine. But to my dismay, when my partner and I (both African American), entered the store, the customer service was way MORE then LACKING. The store owner proceeded to pretend to fix the items on the rack in every room we entered. None of the items on the shelves or rack even seemed like it needed to be straightened or fixed. As a fellow vintage shop owner, I understand the "constant" upkeep of appearances, but when the white shop owner proceeds to follow and "fix" in every room you zip back and forth to, there's a problem, especially when there is another (caucasian) customer in the next room. The store is but so big, so it was definitely very obvious. I have never experienced anything like that before and I was very disappointed. She only bothered to say hi and bye. Customer service reaches beyond saying hi and bye, it's actually engaging with your customers. As far as the product, great pieces, that I myself have come across before or sold out of my own shop. Amazing setup, despite the native american theme. However, the vintage items were obnoxiously overpriced. They are "borrowing" a native american/indigenousness + vintage theme, but are selling these products at overpriced prices that are aimed at traveling richer customers or rich neighboring fellow Austinites. Just another Shop that shows it's city's segregation on it's sleeves. Walked a few doors down to a neighboring vintage shop that was equally as priced, but had an amazing (white) shop owner who provided the best customer service and was polite and jolly as ever. What a difference great customer service will take you... Of course this review will not pertain to everyone, but please be mindful of which small businesses you are supporting.

On S. Congress, there are a handful of stores that deserve attention, but right off the main road, Feathers is the one I keep going to over and over again. The well-curated selection of cool, on trend vintage and reasonable prices make it a wonderful asset to the city. The store is neatly organized by style and the racks are not overcrowded like a lot of vintage stores. The girls that work there blend in perfectly and are very sweet and helpful. The store definitely has more of a '70s bohemian vibe but there really is something for everyone if that's not your style. On my last trip, I immediately saw a gorgeous wide-brimmed felt hat that I bought right off the mannequin for $35. A steal if you ask me. I do not live in Austin, but I still constantly find myself thinking, "I wonder what goodies Feathers has in stock right now..."

I am constantly complaining about the direction that vintage has gone in Austin. Everything is picked over and over-priced. But Feathers has managed to curate a spectacular collection that is not all a size 0 and is fairly priced for the quality. We need more places like this.

Hands down best vintage store in Austin! Great price points and AMAZING dresses, sweaters, jackets and shoes. The girls are super helpful and awesome! I almost spent my whole rent check in there!!
