Hidmona Eritrean & Ethiopian Restaurant

My date and I were planning on going to a coffee house but it was closed, so we walked a block and spotted this place... Definitely a feast of an experience! Not only my first restaurant in Denmark, also my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine! We ended up getting the meat sampler and the veggie sampler, all beautifully laid out on a giant plate to share, with so many different flavors to experience. The service was sweet and attentive, the decor was interesting, and the place had a wonderful cozy feel to it. A fantastic meal to share over some excellent conversation! 😊

Wowwww! The food here was absolutely amazing — full of flavor and perfectly made. The injera was soft and delicious, and the service was warm and welcoming. I really loved my experience here. If you’re interested in Habesha food, this is definitely the place to choose. Highly recommend

The staff is so nice and always serves with a smile. The food tastes so good and it’s well spiced. Also we’re told we cannot only get pancake refilled but also the beef🫨 this is literally a bit mind blowing for this nice food, service and reasonable price.

Ordered the Hidmona Special so I could tried most of the stuff on the menu, it did not disappoint! Lots of good stuff. We will probably order specific meats and dishes next time. We ordered Asa (fish) and it was very delicious. Overall I liked the portion, service, and the cozy atmosphere.

Amazing menu. Mimi at the back was a great chef, and Soni at the front of house was warm and friendly. They were almost out of everything but still welcomed us with open arms and gave us plenty of food for our hungry group of 3. Have had Ethiopian around the world and this was really really good.

Wonderful Ethopian experience with delicious food. Dig into the food with your hands for the authentic experience. Gets a bit warm inside during summer days.

We visited this restaurant for dinner. Booking is available. The food is delicious and portions are generous. To try a bit of everything I would recommend the Hidmona special. Vegetarian food is also available. Food can be served individually, or to share. There is also a small selection of drinks (with and without alcohol). The service is excellent and the staff is kind. The atmosphere is cozy. A restroom is available in the restaurant. Overall a good experience and I will visit this restaurant again.

We recently enjoyed the vegan option and were thoroughly impressed. The flavours were vibrant and authentic, and the presentation with the injera (traditional Ethiopian flatbread) was a delightful experience but could be a little more spicy. A lovely experience to taste Ethiopian food in the heart of Copenhagen! Thank you.
