Very atmospheric place and always full of guests. If you’re planning to visit, make sure to call and book in advance. The service is fast, and the waiters are very polite and friendly. The food is amazing — especially the tiramisù. We had La Busecca (Milanese tripe with beans). It was tasty, but a little fatty — something for an acquired taste. We also tried Rognone di Vitello (pan-fried veal kidneys with mashed potatoes) — it was absolutely delicious. Very tender and melting in the mouth. As a starter, we ordered Baccalà mantecato (cod in a creamy sauce on fried polenta crisps). A pleasant and delicate flavor.

Took 2 trains and 1 bus ride to reach the restaurant. This was a Tuesday night and there’s a lineup of 5 to 6 couples as early as 6:45pm. We ordered the popular meals, risotto with ossobucco and cotoletta. Risotto was worth the travel. Ossobucco was insanely soft, risotto very flavorful. Cotoletta was just ok. Milan is filled with pizza/pasta places so this restaurant is a breath of fresh air.

The highlight of my stay in Milan was dining here! I went with my husband and our two daughters, and I 100% recommend it. Every dish was absolutely delicious, the service was wonderful, and the place had such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s not located in the city center, but it’s totally worth the trip. I would come back to Milan just to eat here again!

It took us more that two hours to get to the restaurant so if you are nearby it’s worth it. But if you are a bit far away maybe find something else because food and atmosphere were good but not like some super duper extra experience. Prices are very nice and stuff is helpful and friendly. Food portions are a bit weird 😄 my plate of pasta was teeny tiny but my friend plate of meet was huge😄she couldn’t finish even half of it😄 good place. Will definitely come there again if I’m in the area. P.S. book a table at least the day before otherwise you will be cramped outside on the terrace if you are lucky enough to get a table even outside😄 this place is really popular

Very nice atmosphere, clean & comfortable sittings. Good service, prompt & proactive. Food was all right. Ordered Cream Cod on fried Polenta cakes with mixed salad, a soda & an espresso. Bread & water complimentary. Service charge €3. Nice place to chill on a lazy afternoon.

Google
This is definitely the place to go to if you're looking for authentic Milanese food. The osso bucco was incredible. And the Milanese cutlet and Mondeghili (meatballs) were real delights. I also have to compliment the staff. When we paid our bill, we were charged too much and the waiter went out of his way to run after us (we had left the restaurant) to give us back our change.

I ordered Veal Ossobuco Served with Saffron risotto. The risotto was extremely salty so I couldn't eat even a little bit but the veal was delicious. And my friend ordered another veal dish, the veal tasty not good. Tiramisu is okay.

Yelp
On a mission to find the perfect traditional Milanese trattoria, we decided to try La Pesa, one of the most sought after places for risotto con ossobuco and cotoletta. The menu is actually not strictly Milanese, they have items that belong to other regional traditions like sciatt or polenta taragna, fried cheese balls and cheese polenta from Valtellina. We didn't complain about this discrepancy, we actually enjoyed both dishes even if not traditional from Milan. Then we got risotto alla milanese con ossobuco, the symbol of Milanese cuisine, and it was really really good. The risotto was creamy, buttery and delicious, the ossobuco "melt in your mouth" tender and with a lot of delicious bone marrow in the bone. Fantastic. Risotto ai funghi porcini freschi was very good too. The tagliatelle al ragù di cinghiale (boar) were very good, but the tagliatelle were a bit too tough, which is very strange for fresh pasta. It felt like the fresh pasta was left to dry out and then it was not cooked enough to rehydrate it. Whatever, the ragù was delicious. Finally the mondeghili, typical Milanese fried meat balls, although delicious, were not authentic, at least according to the expert in the group. Anyway, we enjoyed the food, the cute ambiance and the service. Recommended.
