I reserved the La Galaria event space for my daughter's bridal shower and it was magnificent!!! The food was great! The service was awesome and the event attendants were sweet, accommodating (including my son who works there), helpful and professional! They pulled out all the stops to assist in making the event beautiful! The guests all really enjoyed themselves and best of all....MY DAUGHTER WAS HAPPY!!! Thank you Casa Short Pump!!!!- Missed you Kristan and thank you for all your help right up until the day! You were there in spirit!!! Have you event HERE! This is a straight 10 out of 10. Everything is fantastic. The food is great. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff are wonderful! I love that they have a photo booth. Both bars are incredible. They can accommodate large, small, quiet, and noisy groups! Love, love, love

Had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. What really stood out was our server, ” GREY”friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Great service really makes a difference, and they nailed it. We had a wonderful experience at Casa del Barco in Short Pump! This was our first time dining out with our newborn, and our meal was better than we could’ve hoped for. The food was excellent—full of flavor and beautifully presented. Service was fast and efficient, which we truly appreciated. A special shoutout to our waitress, Raniya, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave us outstanding customer service throughout our visit. We felt welcomed and well cared for, and we’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great food and an even better dining experience!

The atmosphere was such a vibe! The steak tacos are my favorite. Ambrielle and Bridget took care of me and my friend and we got to decorate bottles. The manager JoJo made sure we were taken care of as well. Definitely will be back soon

Celebrated a birthday dinner at this location and had a wonderful time. The drinks came out quick, the food was delicious and our server, Grey, was very helpful and patient with all our questions and needs. She even surprised our birthday person with a candle lit dessert! When we asked for a juice for our toddler and quietly hinted at making their drink half juice, half water, Grey already knew what we were asking for without us having to say it aloud and risking a toddler tantrum

Lana, our server, was amazing, VERY knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great suggestions. Normally I HATE queso dip at other restaurants so told her we wanted to avoid it. She gave a accurate explanation of how theirs is different from others and we were sold on it. It came to the table and we were blown away. HIGH QUALITY and delicious! The rest of the food and cocktails were the same. I will definitely be back.

The restaurant is located at the Short Pump Mall. It's very easy to access and is located near Macy's. It's clean and has lots of seating. The staff was friendly and attentive. There were 4 of us and we had the Quesadilla, Birria Tacos, The Carme Asada burrito and the carne asada bowl. All of the food was good. If you like spice this place has a kick. Overall everyone enjoyed the food and stated they would come back again.

Well, I guess I should have checked reviews before visiting. I'm visiting the area for a conference and decided to walk and shop around the mall area while I had some free time. I stopped into Casa del Barco for dinner. It was a cool space with attractive decor and tons of seating, including some tables outside. It wasn't busy and I was seated right away after they asked if I wanted a low- or high-top table, which was nice. My server was nice too. They said they'd only been working there for about a week and they did a great job. Now the not-so-good: the seat I was given was pretty dirty. There were chip crumbs and stains on the pillows on the bench. When I got my food, everything just seemed to be too salty. The chips had a lot of salt on them, the rice & beans, and even the shrimp on my tacos. The guac was pretty good, but overpriced for the size. I did like the pineapple salsa served with my tacos but it was a little over powered by the guac and the salty batter on the shrimp. That would all warrant a 4 start rating for me, but I also had a tray knocked over onto me as I was finishing up my meal. It spilled water (I think?) on my arm and shirt. The server (not my server) apologized but I had to ask them to bring over napkins, which they were not in any hurry to do, so I just had to sit there for a little while with my arm dripping. I almost asked the table next to me for one of their napkins so I didn't have to wait so long. Again, the server was apologetic, but it was uncomfortable and kinda gross. So yeah, definitely won't be back and wouldn't recommend. There are better options nearby.

We stopped in on a mid afternoon at the Short Pump location. We got two appetizers and some drinks. This is located as a stand alone store at the mall so parking is very easy. The restaurant has an upper and lower level. We were upstairs. Our service was good and everything we ate and drink were quite good. We did not have any of the entrees so I dont know about that... but a nice place to take a break from walking the mall especially on 100F degree days!

Decent experience. The staff was nice enough and was attentive. I got there right when happy hour started and it was relatively empty. They allowed me to pick where I sat, which was nice. Overall, the inside is a pretty cool space. I got the El Barco margarita, and it was a more bitter than I typically enjoy. I also got the Carne Asada fries, which were very filling and good. My only complaint is the meat was just a bit dry.

Sriracha was a great server, especially it being only her second day. HH Margarita and Empanadas were a tasty after work treat.

Me and one of my girlfriends met at this place and when I tell you, I thoroughly enjoyed my food I didn't leave a crumb! The staff was so thorough and friendly and the place was really big and span like super clean love that for them and me lol this isn't a typical bar like environment. It's like eating delicious Mexican and a very nice aesthetic restaurant real cute definitely will be back oh and let me not forget my plant and OMG.

We enjoyed a date night out on the patio with great weather and a great atmosphere. Our waitress, Grey, was perfectly attentive to us - checking in periodically at just the right amount. She even made some menu recommendations for us when we couldn't decide! Our order came out quickly and correctly. We'd definitely go back again for another date night in the future.

Stopped by for lunch before JamPacked concert. not too crowded... The service was terrible. We ordered drinks and it took forever to get them. Server was no where to be found. Had the Steak tacos and they were terrible. This has to be the only Mexican restaurant in the US that does not serve chips and salsa unless you ask for it and have to pay extra for it? Better food and service at Taco Bell.

We were sat quickly for our reservation and had great service! The ambiance was fun with good music and lots of friends meeting up. The plantains and street corn (off the cob) were amazing!! The tacos were great and perfectly spicy. Only complaint is the lack of fish in the fish tacos.

This is absolutely in my top five for solo dates! I absolutely love coming to Casa del Barco for a quick drink and a quick appetizer, especially after a day of shopping. The interior is amazing, I've never had a bad experience when it comes to service, food nor drinks. I am able to sit, peacefully and enjoy myself and my food. I love it here!

The decor is very lovely. Stopped in during a shopping trip for a quick dinner. Service was very slow. Took 15-20 minutes for someone to take my order. The food arrived and I had no silverware or napkins. Maybe I just had a not so good server. I'd give the tacos four stars. The rice and beans looked pretty but not very flavorful.

After a hours of shopping at Short Pump, Casa del Barco provided a festive yet relaxing break with a tasty margarita and creative tacos. The dining room occupies an open two-story space decorated with painted tequila bottles, two-story hanging lights, and a mix of table types, from cozy tables for two to larger groups. The menu offers many options of Mexican meals. While we ordered the fish tacos and the beef brisket tacos, trays filled with loudly sizzling and deliciously smelling fajitas passed our table. While the fajitas tempted us, we were set on tacos. They offer platters with either two or three tacos that come with a cup of rice and black beans. You also can order a la carte tacos if you wish to try different proteins. The Baja fish tacos came beer battered with cheese, cabbage, and pico de gallo in a soft shell. They were light and refreshing. The beef brisket tacos were fried and came with a dipping sauce. It was like a version of a French dip. The side of rice and black beans topped with cheese was a nice accompaniment. I had asked if I could replace the beans with the plantains on the menu, but that wasn't possible. I could order the plantains as a side dish or make an a la carte lunch choosing tacos and plantains. The house margarita was just the way I like it: simple without any agave or sweet and sour mix added. If you prefer a sweeter margarita, you can ask to have those added, as well as other additions. Our server was knowledgeable and efficient. We especially liked how they brought the credit card machine to the table after the meal--something other counties have been doing for a long time. It speeds up the check out process, and your credit card never leads your sight. Well fed and recharged, we had a great experience at Casa del Barco, and we'll likely return.

Erica was wonderful, and our food arrived fresh. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow -- our tortillas and patatas didn't arrive until we had almost finished the rest of our meal, which was disappointing. Otherwise, the ambiance around 3:30 PM was quiet and pleasant.

What a time we had last night!!! We went to Short Pump and decided to dine at Casa del Barco! The food, drinks and atmosphere was amazing thanks to our server Grey...what a jewel! She was friendly, attentive and accommodating. Thank you Grey for your awesome service.

Group dinner date with the husband and five friends! The decor is great in this restaurant and there is even an upstairs if it gets too full downstairs. I almost forgot I was still in Henrico. The waitress was also one of the bartenders, and she was very helpful and nice during our visit. Food was really tasty and really filling. The different salsas / sauces were interesting in the spiciness levels and flavor profiles. All in all, a good experience!

I've been to both Casa del Barco locations, and the Short Pump spot never disappoints! Whether stopping by for happy hour or just sitting down for a meal, the experience is always good. The food comes out fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and the drinks are just as good. I especially love the atmosphere. The bottle decor adds such a unique touch, and the vibe is lively yet welcoming. If you're looking for great Mexican food, tasty drinks, and a fun ambiance, this is definitely the place to be!

In town for a memorial service. We had dinner here with a friend to decompress. The interior is very open but not loud. We started with the Three Amigos for an appetizer. It consisted of salsa, guacamole, and queso. All very good with a nice kick. It was so good we didn't get a picture until it was almost gone. We ordered the chicken quesadilla, a steak taco, chicken taco, and a birria taco. All had very good meat filling. Even the steak. Service was a bit slow and the place was only about half full. Overall I would go back. The food was very good.

Service - the people here were absolutely wonderful. So that was the best part of the meal. Ambiance - beautiful place, there are some odd features going on here like the empty bottles up front, kind of cheapens the overall decor. Other than that I think this spot hits that mark well. Food - I missed taking photos here. The nachos were very good and the queso was incredible. They have very strange rice. I honestly think it's a restaurant style mix and not "freshly" made. It tastes like the packets you buy and microwave from the grocery store. Their black beans are also lackluster. Since this is the base for many entrees I would recommend they make traditional Mexican style rice, super easy and sure to please. The tacos were decent! I got the mushroom ones which had a large amount of fried cheese - one was delicious but more than one was too much. They did however claim to have hand pressed corn tortillas and they were absolutely store bought. My partner got the burrito and it was okay. Drinks - so bad. Watery and not flavorful. We had a mezcal drink, margarita, and micheladas. We are big michelada fans and while they claim this is traditional, it's not, it was just missing spice and didn't impress. I think with a few tweaks this place could do very well. Rework the drinks and focus on the basics - Mexican food is all about doing simple well.

Ambiance is great. Convenient location in the mall. Chips and salsa were very good. I got the bean and rice bowl with Mahi. It was definitely good but next time I'll go for a different protein. Service was friendly.

To start the ambience when walking in is very welcoming, everyone very sweet and professional!! Everything is clean and the place smells good Sean was my server 10/10 very attentive, great conversation, and most importantly he made sure everything came out good! JoJo took great care of us at the bar during our shopping trip at the mall. We needed a break, and she made our day! We had two different margaritas which were made to order and made with love! The meatballs were fantastic! We will be back!

This is a fancy Mexican restaurant but hubby really enjoys it. We took our in-laws here over the weekend and they really liked the food as well. We had the carne asada fries (fantastic) and nachos (great) as appetizers. The price is reasonable- $130 for 5 people before tax and plenty leftovers - which is a great deal. Our server Renay is great!

I went to casa Del Barco with a friend to catch up on old times. We met at the front of the place, and was greeted by three wonderful hosts. They were ready to play this on the list. Give us a brief overview about the wait times, and also invite us to sit in the lounge area or outside where the night was quite pleasant. We waited about 35 minutes because it was a Friday night, but we did not mine because the outside was refreshing. The place looks very clean, warm and inviting. The people that will leave in the establishment were very satisfied with what they had consumed and had doggy bags in tow. We saw several people who came in after us and they seem to not mind the wait times either. And looking around the decor was very modern, clean, and very stylish. They were Homie notes in that they had sofas and pillows and different set of to allow for interaction with friends, family, or a business gathering. We decided to order I ordered the fajitas which came out piping hot flavorful and wonderful. Our friend ordered the shrimp tostadas, and they were crispy, flavorful and full of punch. On the table, they offered some locally minted hot sauces to try and take home for purchase. We looked around at the different offerings that people ordered and everything looked and smelled wonderful. I was server was very nice knowledgeable. Patient offered outstanding suggestions and even cater to our questions and offered us some wonderful solutions. Please note that if you want chips and salsa, you have to order that. The chips for crispy the salsa was flavorful, but not too spicy, but had enough kick to keep you interested. Overall, we had a fantastic time and can't wait to go back later. Although neither one of us ordered cocktails but the bar seemed to be fully stocked. The patrons at the bar seem to be quite pleased, and the bartending staff was personable, interactive and delightful. I recommend that you go and spend some time also try something new each time .

I was a little nervous to try this location because I didn't have the best experience at the downtown Richmond location. I was nervous for no reason because this visit at the short pump location did not disappoint. I loved this location. I was such a big fan of the huge windows and the layout of the restaurant. So much color and beautiful decor - loved it! We started with the salsa and jalapeño crema with chips and that crema was so tasty. For my entree I ordered the birria tacos and the yassss queen drink. Super yummy! The drink definitely wasn't short of any alcohol. Hehe! Our waiter was very friendly and I finished with the complimentary birthday churro dessert. Enjoyed celebrating my birthday here!

This is my new favorite restaurant in Short Pump. JoJo was fantastic and so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the fully loaded margaritas. Thank you!

The place has that modern chic vibe. very spacious and looks clean and well kept. Service was friendly and efficient. We were there with a big group and drinks, apps, entrees all arrived and timely manner. I don't think there were any mishaps. We ordered a variety of apps to share but the Carne Asada Fries and nachos with their salsa/guac were my faves. I went for some tacos as my main dish-I went ala carte and ordered-the Boris, Ribeye, and Al Pastor. They were all delish. Heard the other tacos such as the shrimp and the fish tacos were fantastic as well. My wife ordered a steak fajita since she had a hankering for it but she said it was bland. We didn't get to order desserts but had a few drinks as well and all were well prepared. I had the Seasonal Christmas Mojito and that was probably one of the best Mojitos I've had in a minute. A few in the group shared a couple of pitchers of Margaritas and the Zero proof margaritas was also pretty good. It was overall, a very good dining experience. Would def recommend and consider to dine again when we're around the area.

OMG...it was our first time to Short Pump Town Center. From the outside CDB looked so fancy. We got sat down and were greeted by Kerry. She explained the ordering system, something we had never seen before in any restaurant we have been to. The atmosphere was casual. Not loud. Kerry was able to check up on us without any pressure. Cool concept. We came in after all the stores closed at 8 pm. Don't know what that's all about, but we don't live in the immediate Richmond/Short Pump area. We even got a chance to meet Chef de Cuisine, Daniel Barton. He was so gracious and personable. It might have been our first time, but definitely not our last.

Been years since I went here when it was a Korean restaurant. Beautiful interior.great happy hour drinks and food Ambriane was our waitress very nice.Food was better than. A lot of Mexican restaurants.

My son 19th birthday was today he chose to eat at the short pump location the service was amazing thank you Solange very attentive and helpful and the food was amazing my son ordered the steak cooked to perfection.
