On the Grid : Unico

"Unico is an Argentinian restaurant based in an old butchery, decorated with great '70s flare. The scent and taste of the charcoal-cooked Argentinian meat is truly unparalleled. Come for the meat, stay for the vibe. A wonderful place to satiate the retro carnivore inside you." - Violaine & Jérémy

Google
Such a lovely surprise for a calm night out in Paris. We were looking for somewhere to have dinner and were welcome by the lovely staff, who helped us understand their menu and give us recommentations according to our preferences. We had a provoleta as starter and couldn't recommend it more. The quality of the meat was also a highlight of our dinner.

Google
A good Argentinean experience The menu choice and variety is not super creative but loyal to tradition and the quality was good The service was not great , specially in the very end where we were asked to leave a tip (we are not in US? ) . Unfortunately this made the overall dinner with a so-so memory.

Amazing staff – All of them were so friendly and knowledgeable about their food and wine offerings. The meat quality is unbeatable and the sides were all perfect as well. Would go back a million times.

An amazing steakhouse in Paris. Ambiance and service at the top, and the food. Oh my god, the food. It was so good! Was a long time I didn't have such a meal! Excellent! Of course, it's a bit pricey, but not for the quality. Definitely worth it, and already looking forward to try again 🥳

Google
Lovely place, great steaks and the pudding was amazing. My children who are sometime fussy about their steak said it was the best ever

Really cute spot in the 11eme with a great lunch deal. Great location, fresh produce and warm staff. Will definitely return.

Google
"Good" is enough. Not that much different from other steak restaurant. The differences are music, 3 type of Sources & grilled vegitables that make me guess it would be the argentina style food. Also, staffs are kind ,but cost is expensive.

Yelp
I really enjoyed dinner at this warm Argentinian restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly, the meat was tender and delicious, and their Os à Moelle is a must have.

Yelp
Another Paris Favorite and yes it is definitely worth seeking this place out. The food is authentic and delicious... and the Malbec excellent. Their empanadas and steaks are memorable but my personal favorite is the Tierra Asado. Argentinean beef ribs that are deliciously spiced and seriously memorable. The first time I went there, some of the editorial staff from Paris Elle were there. I think 10 of them split one steak but there very fact that they were eating here was a pretty good indication that this place was pretty darn good. It is! Back in Paris as I write this so I will be visiting again soon.

Yelp
My wife and I had a great dining experience at Unico. We started with the Tablita for 2 (Appetizer, which was confusing because it was under the 'entree' section.), it was excellent. The empinadas were the highlight of this dish. My wife and I both ordered the OJO DE BEF UNICO (Entrecote), cooked medium rare (Careful, Parisians prefer their meat on the rare side of any request.) The steaks were a PERFECT medium rare, best cut of beef I had our entire trip - I ordered the Entrecote in two other restaurants and got a tough, lower grade of beef. NOT AT UNICO, top notch and perfectly prepared. I recommend the grilled vegetables (You have a choice of 1 of 3 sides). Our waiter may have been a bit on the slow/preocupied side (It IS Paris) but he recommended a 2009 Luigi Bosca Pinot Noir and it was a magical pairing. We are going to order a case of this stuff and serve it with anything that 'Moos' moving forward, GREAT SUGGESTION. If you travel to Paris, I highly recommend this restaurant - make sure to call ahead for reservations if you plan on dining during peak hours. (8 - 11 pm) Book plenty of time, this is not a rushed affair, it is a pleasurable experience - ENJOY!
