The wine selection is amazing; you shouldn't just pop in here for a quick drink; that would be a shame. They also serve delicious small dishes that are very tasteful. We'll definitely be back.

We are here for New Years Eve and everyone is really happy!! The staff is dancing and smiling and the customers seem yo enjoy the music and the atmosphere!! No dress code needed, everyone seems welcome, from casual to festive! Found it passing by, definitely recommend it!

We bought wine in downstairs and drank upstairs with cover charge 12 euro. The employee handed our wine to another employee upstairs. We also enjoyed food, actually ordered more after devouring selections. The price was also very reasonable, considering the quality and location. Staffs were overall very nice.

An ideal place for a glass of really good wine or two or three and small wine accompaniments such as a cheese platter with really excellent bread. All this at reasonable, upmarket prices in a pleasant atmosphere and perfect service.

A huge selection of wine are sold on the basement floor, so especially if you’re a wine lover, it’s fun to have a walk around. The restaurant is also very spacious and the service staff are friendly and motivated. At lunch hour, it’s usually not so crowded but the cocktail hour is packed with people, so you may need to consider making reservations beforehand. Not just the drinks but the food is pretty good too :)

The restaurant café offers decent food, though nothing particularly special. The atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting, making it a nice place to sit and relax. Unfortunately, the service was not up to the same standard – it felt inattentive and a bit lacking. Overall, a good spot for the ambiance, but not the best choice if you’re looking for excellent.

Went here on a Bites tour of the city. It's a big restaurant with lots of seating! Its a pretty romantic and intimate place with soft lighting! We were here to try the white wine! The staff was very nice and attentive! Be sure to go downstairs to check out their store! Also, there is a secret door that opens and leads you to the bathrooms!!!

Went here on our first trip to Vienna! Quick service and delicious soup. I had the carrot and ginger soup and my date had the schnitzel. Nice decor and a kind waitress!

We came for the wine shop downstairs. They had a good selection, with most of the good stuff in the cellar (locked up, but you can ask them to take you inside). The people there were knowledgeable and friendly. We were happy to find the Ernst Triebaumer Mariental that we went there looking for. I think they'll also deliver to you for free, but it takes a few days. They have a couple of locations in the city.

What a great experience, particularly if you are from out of town, a tourist looking for a nice bottle of wine to take to a friends house and do not speak German. The people working a the shop were very helpful and insistent on us tasting several wines before making a choice. They made you feel welcome even though we had never been to the shop and this was likely going to be a one time experience.

It gets very crowded, so making a reservation is a good idea. This is a perfect location for after work drinks or a good place to gather with friends and have some good wine with small finger foods or dinner. What I enjoyed the most was the underground store where you can either go and look for wine and open it at the restaurant, or purchase one to take home.

Went here after dinner for a drink. It was as if we were bothering the bartender when we walked in, yet they didn't close for another 3 hours, so it wasn't as if he was trying to clean up. Ended up getting a glass of wine which was not that great and combined with the rude staff I would not be back.

Although Wein & Co is my favorite wine shop, my experience here wasn't thrilling. Good wines, but so-so service do deserve just 3 stars. When I moved to Vienna several years ago, I wasn't into wine. Even when a lot of people drank wine around me, it didn't catch on. The taste just didn't do it. The white wines were almost peppery, and reds were plain sour. How could someone drink that? After I and all my friends had just accepted that fact, there was 1 particular guy who didn't accept it. He invited me to test different wines, while he gave explanations and talked about the colorful wold of wines, wineries and everything else connected with it. Eventually he hit the right nerve: he introduced me to sweet wine. Well, not just sweet wine, but super sweet dessert wines. The minute I tasted that, I was sold. Thus, I entered the world of wine. Understanding that I could not drink dessert wines just at every occasion that other were drinking wine, I ventured out a bit, and through the help of some knowledgeable friends, and people, I found some "normal" wines I liked. Most of them red and a lonely white in between. Fast forward a few years. Having drank now a few bottles of this and that, I never so good knew what wine I liked or not - before having tasted it. So, living relatively close to a wine & co, one day one of the employees chatted us up and we discussed about different wines. We just told what we liked, and after some talking he could clearly tell me what wines we would probably like. What to look for in a wine. And it worked. With the tips from him, I could pick wines with a very high chance of even liking them. Except from having a wide range of wines, and OK prices, the people there can be really good too. Honestly, not all, but some of them really shine. You go to the right locations of wein + co, and you'll even meet a Winzer or two. Except for just being a good wine shop (take care, wine is OK prices, some other stuff absolutely not), they also opened some bar-shop-somethings. You go shop some wine, they bring it to your table to enjoy. Works fine. Until this last visit. We were 4, shopped 2 bottles, and as we were hungry, ordered some anti-pasti. Honestly, it took ages before the food came (true, it's not a restaurant, maybe I shouldn't have expectations on that). The platter is really nice, and after we had finished it, the wine also came. Right - the wine came after we finished that. Half-way during the meal, the glasses were already put in place, but the wine was still absent. After a while, we saw that we were apparently in the middle of a chance of shift. This should definitely be handled more professionally. It was really clear that the old shift didn't want to do anything anymore. I've seen that other people on other tables were also waiting for service, so it wasn't just us. Anyhow, we finished the excellent wines, paid and moved on. I will be back for sure to buy wine, but sitting there and drinking is less the experience it used to be.

The worst service I ever had. Waited 15 minutes for a glas of wine, next 30 minutes for small antipasto. Waiters focused on themselves. There are much better wine bars in Vienna.

Clean, fair selection of wines. Did not have several wines by the glass as advertised in menu or wine flight. English speakers do not get the same level of service as the native speakers, but staffs English skills were very good.

The wine is good and it's nice to be able to pick your own from the adjoining store. Unfortunately they are just too busy to provide proper service. If you want to spend a few hours it will be fine. There was only one girl to serve the whole restaurant.

smart café/bar/wine shop near Stephansplatz which stocks an extensive range of new wave and organic Austrian wines. the restaurant serves up mediterranean fare - charcuterie, antipasti, pasta - matched with wine choices. had my first taste of Juris St. Laurent, an indigenous austrian red varietal, recently found again at Seasonal in NYC.

This is one of my new favorite places in the inner city. It's right around the corner from Stefanskirche, and has a great selection of wines for very great prices. You can also pick a bottle and drink it on premises. There are a few locations in the city, and though the signage feels a little corporatey, it still feels awesomely local and fun! There is also one by Naschmarkt, which I enjoy too. All I can say, is that my parents are from Vienna, and many of our friends are still there, and they are the ones who introduced me to it. Check it out.

Great place. Recently renovated and wonderful waitstaff. Our bartender was from the Czech Republic and gave my husband a great recommendation for a glass of wine. Not expensive, right off Stephanplatz, and enjoyable. We will probably be back here tomorrow.

Actually really like this place. Writing for it as an evening place, in which the place is converted to drinking only. Basically, its a wine store where you buy your wine, and stand around drinking it. In the summer you can sit outside, in the winter, you're standing inside, there is no coat check. You can buy wines from the store section until midnight I believe, after that the bar is still open and you can continue to drink whatever you already bought. Music is pretty decent, upbeat but chill, and not so loud you can't hear your friends. Cover: No Bathroom: Don't know, didn't try Drinks: Some really great wine there. Bottles range in all the prices, we had some fabulous ones in the 30 Euro ranges (including a chocolate wine which sounds horrible but was really great), but you can buy of course cheaper or more expensive wines There is a room with closed glass doors in the back for smokers Overall: If you want a night of drinking new wines and standing around talking to your friends, this is the place. I would not say its obvious to meet new people there based on the flow of the rooms, so bring your friends. Do get there early enough if you want a place to put down your glass. On the other hand, you could also do this for cheaper at your own home I suppose.

We went to our first Wein &Co location in Salzburg and were pleasantly surprised to find them in Vienna. This is a great cafe during the day , good service, English widely spoken and good food. The paninis are excellent. Separate areas for smoking and non-smoking means there is family space . The smoking section is generally more adult only. Very good selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass. You have a chance to sample a range of local wines and the waiters are happy to help with the selection if you need some guidance.
