McQueen's Banh Mi Viet

I regret not trying this place sooner. The bahn mi is fresh, delicious and made to order. The bread is perfect crispy on the outside and soft inside. I got the deluxe for the extra meat and they give you a lot. This place is the best for authentic bahn mi in the area! Will be back soon and often!

That sauce! There is some type of sauce that is used on the classic banh mi that takes it to a next level. Loved that there was not an excessive amount of butter as I have experienced elsewhere. Bread could be a touch fresher or maybe it was just the bum end of the bun. My wife said that it could be the best banh mi she's ever had. Friendly owner taking the orders and an old poa-poa making the sandwiches (love it). Can't complain about the price; $5.50 for a regular classic and $6.50 for extra meat. Ranks high up on my list of best banh mi after only one visit. Will be back for more.

I'm lucky enough to work close by so it's an easy, quick stop on my lunch break. Each banh mi packs delicious flavour in a perfectly crunchy bun. So many options on their menu and they are very accommodating of any changes you'd like to make. I also like how they have other food options besides banh mi and hear the coffee is amazing. Great value for the price!

It's a relatively small, takeout restaurant. You may be able to eat standing at a narrow bar against the front window. We are outside in the glorious sun. The banh mi were delicious and filling. The staff friendly and helpful. Recommended

Best Banh Mi in Hamilton. If you’re searching for a great sandwich and a good price this place should be added to your list. The Saigon Deluxe comes on fresh bread with fresh ingredients and will fill your appetite for well under 10 dollars. Authentic flavour with spice or no spice. Order ahead if possible as they often can sell out before 2pm (this is a good thing). They bring fresh buns in daily and when they are gone, they’re gone. Enjoy! I’ve been back many times and they are always consistent. Still one of my favourite banh mi’s I’ve had in Canada. Also, be sure to get a Vietnamese coffee if you have never had one. Highly recommend it and served over ice.

Best banh mi I've had in Hamilton. The meatballs sub is my favorite! This place is take-out only. The owner was very friendly. Service was quick. $5.50 for a classic and $6.50 for a deluxe (slightly bigger baguette with more fillings).

I searched out Yelp when I was in Hamilton Ontario to Find the Best Bahn Mi sandwiches. McQueen's popped up so I thought I would give it a try. I've only had Bahn Mi a few times and I have to say it was mediocre at best so I was expecting more of the same. Wow! Wow! Wow! McQueen's is like night and day with other Bahn Mi places. The taste and the flavors are of the chart. The place is just a sandwich shop with no seating and only about 6 offerings of Bahn Mi. I went with their classic recommendation The Saigon with was pork based with pork belly, pate and roast pork as well as some great veggies. But the standout was the bun ...crispy,crunchy,flaky on the outside and like a soft pillow on the inside. Delicious! I couldn't stop eating it once I started bite after bite... barely swallowing before the next bite.. it was gluttonous! I had found a sandwich which I would drive 45minutes to buy easily! The staff were extremely nice and feel they really care about putting out quality food! Easily a 5 star rating! Thanks McQueen's see you so

I'm fortunate that my girlfriend is Vietnamese, otherwise I would have never found out that there's amazing banh mi in Hamilton. The bread is crispy yet chewy yet tender, and it's filled to the brim with delicious toppings. I've tried their Country Pate, Ultimate Oink, and the standard Saigon -- all are delicious. I'm not an expert on banh mi, but this blows all the places in the city right out of the water. If you're ever in the area and craving a good sandwich... McQueen's is the place to be.

Really good stuff. Lemon grass chicken and the tofu were great. Could use more vegetables in the sandwich. I found the sandwiches to be really good but a little empty. Something to work on.

Absolutely delicious Banh Mi. Not to mention prices are super low. How can you go wrong when you are looking for a sandwich!?!! I would recommend the Oink Oink, #2.

Best Banh mi place Ive had in the GTHA. Small business with great selection and flavourful options. I went with the #1 and #2 which were both delicious (although more preference to the #2).

This is a decent place to get banh mi's. They have two options, the basic or deluxe, deluxe is more meat and costs more but worth it. I am not a fan of the sweet spicy thai sauce so I always tell them not to put it in. A cute couple owns the place and they also have viet coffee, buns, snacks and dessert.

The bahn mi here are delicious and cheap. My favourite is the pate which is as good as the ones I ate in Hanoi. I usually get the deluxe which is all of $4.50
