Google
Pho Dac biet very flavorful. The short ribs was a little tough. Would be better if meat falls off the bone. Thit nuong is not your regular grilled pork meat. It more like a patty form but not too sweet or salty. Banh cuon was a thick for the dough almost like the banh gio. Nem nuong cuon - was slice think. Overall the food was pretty decent. Service was quick. They weren't busy when we had come in on a Sunday morning. It's an older location but very spacious.

Google
Great place to go for breakfast/lunch/dinner. I stumble upon this restaurant when we moved to Phoenix. I was going to next door milk run. I tried this soup call Bun Mam. Since I tried that I've always ordered that soup when I go there. Move back to SD CA still have not found same soup that I love like this place has. Lot of fresh veggies/herbs. Thick rice stick noodles, fatty pork, eggplant, shrimp, calamari, fish, lemongrass, fermented fish flavor. Very hardy soup. If you are not afraid of bold flavors I recommend trying this soup!! #53 on the menu. Don't forget to get the chilli crisps from the pot sitting in the middle/back of restaurant. They should bottle that and sell it!

Google
They’re quick here but you better order everything at once because we tried to add egg rolls and they said “ok”… and that was the last we ever saw of them 😂. Honestly though, maybe they were doing me a favor because I was already full and fat. The staff always seem super serious, but I think that’s just how they are don’t take it personal, they’re just out here making sure the pho gets to you fast. And it does. Big bowl, hot, delicious one of the best I’ve had. Bonus points for having a door that leads straight to the boba shop next door. they knew exactly what they were doing when they built that. 10/10 would come back

Google
Food was good but not the best Pho we have had in Phoenix. Their water taste a little weird so we had to order a drink. Place was really busy, needs cleaning, and to pay you have to line up to a register desk while standing next to other people sitting while they eat which made it uncomfortable for both I'm sure.

Google
This is a comparison to Da Vang, which I prefer, though this is very solid. On the whole, a bit blander: less salty, less sweet, less fish sauce (and less nuoc cham given) - though I couldn't say if the intensity I'm used to is an Americanization or not. The grilled pork is finer (more like a meatball than Da Vang's semi-chunky grind) and less charred. The tofu skin is really interesting texturally - a nice, crispy contrast to the emulsified interior. The shrimp was small enough to be pitiful - size is not an issue in itself, but here it felt insubstantial. Otherwise, these are general QA issues that I happened to encounter but are fairly random when ordering com tam everywhere. The egg was fried at a lower temperature and with less oil than ideal, resulting in less crispy browning and a fully solid yolk. The shredded pork was on the dry side. The meatloaf was nice and moist, though it could've used a bit more woodear. The interior and service were comparable to Da Vang - on the somewhat dirty and basic side, somewhat rude by western standards and totally normal by Asian standards.

Google
Small parking lot was packed so we had to park across the street. Wasn’t acknowledged at entry so we sat ourselves, no menu or acknowledgment from staff for at least 10mins. Other guests coming in after us were greeted, seated and given menus right away. The first waitress we asked for menus ignored us, the next waitress literally tossed one menu on the table and left. I guess they expected us to share the one menu. I felt uncomfortable with staying but as soon as we get up to leave the same waitress that threw the menu at us tried to take our order 30secs after tossing the menu at us. We told her we didn’t feel comfortable staying and she just walked away. Atrocious service which sucks because I heard great things about the food. Left and went to DaVang and got wonderful service and food.

Google
From all the places I've been to, this is by far the best pho in town. The shrimp pho is a great choice, I highly recommend it.

Google
The food was perfect. The place was very busy, though. I ordered from the wok menu, stir fry squid and veggies. I do wok cooking over fire at home. So trust me when I say what I ordered was great.

Yelp
Visiting from California and was so happy to stumble upon a super authentic Vietnamese restaurant!! The place is huge, we got seated right away. Our group was pretty large as well, we had about 16 people total and they have long tables for big groups to sit together. I ordered the bun bo hue - it was so flavorful, the broth was tasty and had good lemongrass flavor. It included lots of meat and other toppings. They also gave a plate of veggies to add to your liking!

Yelp
I have lived in Arizona my whole life and I can confidently say this is the best Pho in town. I frequented the boba place next door and finally decided to give them a try and I was not disappointed! I got some egg rolls to start off and they absolutely blew my mind away. Egg rolls are something you can get just about anywhere but I can't really tell you I had a good one until I tried the ones at Pho Thanh. They are something crispy but not overly crunchy. The greens they provide are nice and fresh and the sauce is perfect. I also got the Banh Mi Bo Kho and it was so good I didn't take a picture until the end haha. I love having something to dip into a soup and the bread they use here is pretty good. I respect a place that isn't super flashy and just lets you enjoy your food. If you're looking for some authentic pho at a good price and amazing quality look no further than Pho Thanh!

Yelp
Love this hole-in-the-wall spot! Their menu has so many options, and the prices are super affordable. Service is quick, and the food tastes very authentic. I ordered the bún bò huế and the pork blood and pork organ congee to go -- both were really good! They also have homemade chili oil. A great Vietnamese restaurant in town!

Yelp
I had the pho filet nam and it was pretty flavorful. Very beefy, umami flavor, but could use a little more of that aromatic or herbaceous flavor. Service here is quick, straightforward, not going to have a lot of niceties or small talk lol. Lots of seating here and it's pretty clean and busy. Would go again! Plus, milk run it right next door.
google avatar

Julie K.

Yelp
My go to place for tasty Vietnamese food at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is simple and always fast service.. I'm about the food. Everything I've had has been fresh and flavorful.
google avatar

Julia S.

Yelp
Pho Thanh is a Phoenix staple - it's the first place I had pho and a place I keep coming back to. Their broth is light and delicious. And the pricing has stayed pretty consistent for the past few years. If you're in town or looking to introduce someone to Vietnamese cuisine, support this business! Note: Pho Thanh has become substantially more popular over the past few years so it tends to get very busy especially on weekends. Plan accordingly! Also: you may be asked to share tables with other patrons, and if you have a large group you will most definitely be waiting longer than folks who come alone or in pairs
google avatar

Yelp
First time at Pho Thanh and it's one a them legit high volume Vietnamese restaurants. Service was excellent. Price was very reasonable. Definitely the best Pho I've had in quite a while. A+ stuff. You rule Pho Thanh!
google avatar

Victoria V.

Yelp
Ordered combination pho to go and was really happy with the portion size and taste! We had to wait longer than expected though and unfortunately it gave me horrible food poisoning.
google avatar

Brittany J.

Yelp
This was my first time ever trying pho and it was delicious. The broth was very flavorful. The eggrolls were the best. Very crispy and lots of flavor. The service is very straightforward here so don't expect over the top customer service but they get you in, fed and taken care of. The restaurant is big even when it seems like there's a long line it goes pretty quick.
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best pho in the valley! We went around 6:30 on a Wednesday and they were pretty busy. There were about 20 people in line, but it only took about 15 minutes to get a table for 3. The workers were hustling tremendously to clear tables quickly, take orders, and deliver waters. It had a bustling but comfortable ambiance with lots of seating in an open space. The food was delicious with some of the best pho broth I've had. The egg rolls, banh mi, and spring rolls were great as well.
google avatar

Yelp
5 stars for their Pho Dac Biet. Large bowl for only $13.95, full of flavor, good meat portion, hot and flavorful broth. Only pho nearby (30 mins) that opens early 8:30am. Defiantly go here if you're craving pho early in the morning or in general. Large and spacious inside. We also got the spring rolls.. which we didn't care for.
google avatar

Carin G.

Yelp
Not friendly or inviting. We have visited about 1/2 doz times and realize that the food sometimes is good but the services is consistently unfriendly .
google avatar

Joseph L.

Yelp
One of the best pho spots in Phoenix! Although it can get super busy, the line goes by fast. The pho here never misses. They have a variety of soups, noodles, meats, and sides. This spot is one of my go-to pho spots for a reason. If you're around the area, give this spot a try!
google avatar

Kassandra L.

Yelp
Forever will be my favorite pho place. I've tried so many different spots in the valley and this is the only spot that keeps me coming back.

Yelp
As an original LA/Cali girl, I usually do not have high hopes for most Asian restaurants outside of what I am used to because I am used to very authentic taste but this place is definitely the place to go if you are craving good and tasty Vietnamese food. We got the combination rice plate, the bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup), thai tea, soda chanh (like a lime soda) and a Vietnamese iced coffee. I have tried multiple Viet restaurants in Arizona since my recent move here and this has to be my second top place to go to and it's very close to me as well. The food was great, everything tasty; nothing over or undercooked and just enough seasoning with everything. It all paired very well together. The service here is what you would expect for a busy, family ran business (I'm assuming but didn't confirm); it's not bad, but it can get very busy and sometimes there's a small way for seating or food but I promise it's worth it! Lots of seating but again, gets very busy. If you can't find parking in the front, parking in the back is available as well! You order at you table and at the end, you go up to the counter to pay. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for yummy Viet food at an affordable price. I will definitely be returning. Don't forget to tip your chefs!

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! The perfect hole in the wall that I've been searching for. Growing up Vietnamese, I always crave authentic Viet food that my mom cooked for me growing up. Her pho is definitely the best (I may be biased here), however the pho at Pho Thanh comes very VERY close. I came here with a party of 4 on New Year's Day for lunch, and it was packed. However, we were still seated immediately. The server speaks both Vietnamese and English, so communication shouldn't be an issue. There was a little bit of a wait to get our order in since it seemed as if there was only one person taking orders, but after our orders were placed the food came out quickly. This was my second time here, and definitely not my last. The pho is for sure the star of the show, however I'm looking forward to trying the many other dishes they have in their menu.

Yelp
As many times as I've been here I can say every time I am satisfied. The taste, the potions, the price, and the service. The service is quick and efficient and the pho always satisfies the craving and hunger lol this place has been here for a very long time and any time I want some pho, especially on a rainy day, it's the first place I think of. And Milk Run is right next door which you can get your pho fix and your boba fix all at once.

Yelp
Pho Thanh always hits the spot. Was craving Vietnamese omelette and spring rolls, and the consistent quality of the food here has surpassed my expectations over the many years I've been coming here. Did not have Pho today, but can tell you that the chicken pho here is Chefs Kiss, my favorite ever. Henry and Tuna will always greet you like family and ensure that your order is perfect every time, thank you. Grade A+

Yelp
Hands down my favorite place to get pho in the valley. I go out of my way to stop by here anytime I crave pho. Their meat, broth, and veggies are amazing as well as the perfectly textured noodles. I also get their shrimp and pork spring rolls as a side occasionally. They are good on their own, even before dipping them in the sauce. It's usually quite busy at this location, especially on weekends during lunch time. Even so, I haven't waited particularly long to receive my order once it's placed. Staff has always been helpful with good attention to detail. One of my friends who I usually go with to Pho Thanh doesn't like green onions inside her Pho, and they are always accommodating. (Yes, some places don't always listen and add everything anyway!) Another great thing about this location is their fresh beverages. You can get pennywort juice and sugarcane juice at the counter by the register, which are great refreshments for the hot weather starting up.

Yelp
Was craving Pho the last few weeks, and with limited mobility (because i sold my car, im embarking on my Digital Nomad /Expat life Friday.) I walked to this location after reading decent reviews. Located ina little no frills strip mall of Asian business's, dont expect any banter these folks show no emotion, and customer service is essentially non existant, I went outside my typical comfort zone and chose the Bon Bo Hue, which had Pigs blood and other unusual items in it. It was ok nothing special. So the reason i give this a 4 star is because the portion size's are huge enough for 2, which creates a savings, and the eggs rolls were delicious. Customer service bad and the soup wasn't that hot.

Yelp
This place is pretty good! Very authentic and old school mom and pop shop. The pho was good. Not the best I have ever had but very strong bowl of pho noodles. I would highly recommend and happily eat this again Parking lot with 20 or so spots shared with 4-5 different businesses. When I came at 6pm, most of the lot was full.. but I ended up getting a spot.

Yelp
Definitely my go to restaurant for my Vietnamese creating. This restaurant is big, so seating is relatively fast, but be patience if the restaurant is full since waiters some times doesn't know if you're served or not. In terms of my go to, I definitely get the pho dac biet- basically a combination of beefs ( beef round slices, beef brisket, tripe, and meatball) Additional I would add a beef rib for an extra $4.

Tash J.

Yelp
Just went with friends and weren't seated or greeted but everyone else that came in after us was. After we sat ourselves,I tried to stop a waitress to ask for menus after several minutes of those around us being served but was ignored. When we did get the attention of a waitress asking for a menu she took a from another patron and threw it at my friend and expected us to share the menu to order. After that we started to leave and she turns around to ask us what we want to order and she just gave us the menu so we just left. The service was awful, won't return.

Yelp
I live east mesa, drive pho tanh almost 1 hour , every week I & my hubby go to Pho Thanh, Good price ,good food

Yelp
We were craving Pho and decided to try a new spot, that spot being Pho Thanh. Upon arriving, the restaurant was fairly busy. We sat and shortly later were waited on. Ordered our drinks and food. I chose the Seasoned Shredded Pork Spring Rolls and the Beef Rib in Spicy Beef Soup. The Spring Rolls weren't my favorite but the soup was delicious. The ribs were flavorful and suited the soup well. I was expecting a bit more sickness but with the hot sauces on the table, that was an easy fix. The restaurant has plenty of seating but my one complaint is that a line forms at the pickup and pay counter which is right by some of the tables. During our visit, the line formed right next to us which made eating a bit awkward. Other than that, I would likely return for another visit.
google avatar

Yelp
This bowl of pho was incredibly satisfying from start to finish . The broth had a gentle sweetness and a slow-cooked richness. The beef tasted fresh and the noodles had excellent texture. The herbs were crisp and added freshness to each bite. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant was tidy and relaxing. I'd absolutely come back here.
google avatar

Vinitha V.

Yelp
Very busy pho spot, really glad i ordered for takeout. Food was ready very quickly just had to wait in a line to pick up order. The person working the register was very efficient and handled the crowd very well. The quality of the pho was so good and they had a great variety of pho options compared to other places. They got our order perfectly because we had gotten extra limes. I am very impressed with the establishment and will be back again soon!

Yelp
I tried Pho Thanh for the first time on 5/7/25 for a solo lunch date. The parking lot is relatively small, especially since it's shared amongst other businesses, but I found a spot. Upon entering, I was quickly seated immediately and tended to, despite being pretty lively inside. Although Pho Thanh has a huge menu, I stuck quite close to my usual pho order, which at any restaurant is pho chin (fully cooked beef brisket), but I hadn't even seen filet mignon on a pho menu and decided to treat myself. I opted for the 116. Pho Filet Nam (beef noodle soup w/ sliced filet mignon beef and beef brisket). I was amazed by the rich and sweet broth that wasn't too oily and soft meat. This combination was perfect, with a huge portion size that left me stuffed and satisfied, at the reasonable price of $15.95. To pay, I went up to the register and used Apple Pay, but they do accept card and cash too. Great experience with delicious pho in the valley!
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
The best beef pho that I've tried in Phoenix. I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this place. I love the open seating and the table options for carry out items and forks if you need to utilize them. They also provide chili oil at a table that guests can get it for themselves. I have been here more than a few times and every time it tastes delicious. Service is good and quick.
google avatar

Lauranoy D.

Yelp
This restaurant is in the hood, but it's central Phoenix lol we come here when we're in the area, but not often or when we want milk tea (my fav spot for drinks) next door. It's pretty busy here and food does comes quickly. The food is fresh and good.
google avatar

Vicki B.

Yelp
Quickly seated, Once they took our order it less than10 minutes to get our food. The pho was flavorful but im used to a little more meat in my pho. The bbq pork banh mi was very good with a crusty outside and but soft inside. They do not have knives so if your sharing banh mi have them cut it before they bring it to you. I was a little put off by the red onions included in the pho with white onions. This is the only place I've ever had red onions in my pho. I dont like red onions. This was a very bust place at 4 pm on a weekday. But there is plenty of seating (more tables than most Vietnamese restaurants in the area ) and no one had to wait. Tables were bussed quickly and thoroughly cleaned.

Yelp
I loved the pho here! Good pho, great prices, lots of seating, decent number of parking spots. Fast service. We came on a Saturday afternoon and were seated immediately. We got the #12 pho with beef/steak which was $10.95 - decent sized portion. The broth was clean and flavorful. We also got the pork/shrimp spring rolls which was $3.95 for two - they were on the smaller side but definitely appropriately priced. I also got the cafe sua da Vietnamese iced coffee which came in the little coffee strainer with condensed milk - wait for it to finish dripping, then use the spoon to mix the coffee with the condensed milk, then pour it into your glass of ice. Looking forward to coming back!

Lujain W.

Yelp
This is my go to spot for pho in Phoenix. Will make the drive from South Scottsdale just to get my fix.

Yelp
Great Pho and delicious Bun thit nuong! Sugar cane juice is a must, especially on a hot summer day! I also tried the che bap, com ruou and che sam bo luong and they were top notch. Friendly service. For sure coming back

Yelp
Best pho in town. Fast service and great prices. They are usually always busy and the restaurant is buzzing,

Yelp
Ok normally this is my go to for pho. In the past they have been super busy but super fast and efficient. I don't know what happened today but we walked in (my son and I) and there was a crowd by the door. They do it on an honor system and get you seated somewhat quickly. Then... You wait... And wait... And wait... We got here around 2:15, got seated by 2:30, and ordered about 5 min later. We got two bowls of pho filet, 2 orders of egg rolls and one order of spring rolls. They had to spit a long table to fit 4 different parties. 30 minutes later... Still no food. When it finally arrived the spring roll was flavorless, even with the peanut sauce, the pho broth was also rather flavorless which surprised me. Usually I don't have to add much to their broth to enjoy it. Today I had to add almost every sauce they had available. So food today was meh Service super slow (my husband and other kids went to a different place. They left home after us but had gotten their food and had almost finished eating by the time we got our food) Ambiance was super crowded. If this had been my first time, I wouldn't be back. Because I know the potential, I may try again not on a weekend.

Darya S.

Yelp
Not a fancy place, but spacious restaurant and friendly service! The menu is 3-4 pages, so you'll have lots of things to choose from. They generally have great food with plentiful portions and authentic taste. My friend and I shared the spring rolls and the egg rolls, and both were satisfying appetizers. We each ordered the pho with all the meat, I think it was #114. It is such a huge bowl! I don't even want to know what the XL size looks like! It has tons of rice noodles, meat, and delicious broth. One disappointment was the banh mi orders, which is why I have to take off a star. I ordered the shredded pork and the BBQ pork banh mis and they were absolutely awful. They barely had any ingredients in them, the bread was stale for both, and the portions were so small! I didn't even finish them. So I'd stay to stick to the pho here.
google avatar

Cuazzy N.

Yelp
Good decent spot in the area. It's definitely a popular place from all the reviews and customers there. The bill was higher than the overall order of food so I would recommend checking what they charge you. Other than that, the food was a 7/10 - I had the bun bo hue and my family had pho.
google avatar

Eddie N.

Yelp
Vegetarian I am, so the review will be going towards that route. See my review for Pho Noodles to get an idea the difference between vegetarian pho served at a vegetarian restaurant versus a Vietnamese restaurant. Pho Thanh falls in the latter and is pretty comparable to PT Pho and Pho Noodles. I had the goi cuon tofu and the bun bi chay. The first comes in two rolls and the latter in a huge bowl. Eating these together would be too much at one setting, so I actually had these on separate occasions. Both wonderful. The peanut sauce is on point for the former as well as the texture of the tofu helps substitute for the normal shrimp and pork you would have with normal goi cuon. And the bun bi chay is hearty with the flavors popping for the tofu. Overall, great food. When you are done, as with many Vietnamese restaurants, pay at the register. If you get up sneakily to "use the bathroom," you can pay for the meals of guests and not fight over the bill. :)

Yelp
This place is the real deal! When you walk in, it even *smells* legit, like that authentic, old school Vietnamese restaurant smell. It was so nostalgic to my childhood of eating at Vietnamese restaurants in the SF Bay Area. If you know, you know! It automatically felt like a warm welcome. The menu here is extensive. They have all of the common Vietnamese restaurant staples, plus a few more classics (nem nuong, banh canh, banh xeo) you don't always see on menus in AZ. We ordered the pho filet, goi cuon (spring rolls), and the bánh xèo. The bánh xèo was HUGE! It was about 1.5x the length of my hand and probably as big as my face. The crepe tasted delicious. My only gripe was that it was filled to the brim with bean sprouts, and several bites were missing pork and shrimp. I personally would prefer a higher protein-to-sprout ratio, but maybe some people love their bean sprouts that much. Regardless, it was tasty, especially when packed into a lettuce wrap with all of the complimentary herbs and dipped into the nuoc cham. The pho filet was also great! The broth was a tasty, clean, no-frills beef broth. The filet mignon was super tender. No wonder so many people ordered soups, even in the middle of summer. I would definitely be back when I'm on this side of town!

Yelp
Yummy, yummy, yummy!! This place is a little treasure. My friend recommended this place to me and I'm happy she did. I am always on the hunt for good pho! You can't really beat the price here. The portion sizes are generous and it's so affordable. The eggrolls were especially delicious and the spring rolls were equally good. I liked the mint inside the spring rolls, which was surprising for me. You only get two per order, but they're about four dollars per order, so go crazy! The pho tai was huge. The broth was rich and fatty, and had a good flavor. In fact, I would place this in my top five for sure. They also are not stingy with the side accompaniments. The bowl is equally loaded with goodies. The service is quite fast-paced as pretty much any other Vietnamese restaurant. Definitely a family run business but they're doing it right. I think in total we spent $30, which included two bowls of pho, and the spring rolls and egg rolls. This place is definitely worth a try and after you're done, it's connected to a Boba and ice cream shop next-door. Give them a try too, and especially the taro flavor It's delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
Service is quick for both dine in and take out. Everything is delicious. I never find anything that are not good. Bun dry noodle is delicious. Spicy bun noodle soup is so good. Pho is good. Egg noodle is good. Rice plate with meats are delicious.

Yelp
Since I am Vietnamese, I don't tend to eat at a lot of Vietnamese restaurants as I can either make it or my family. When I get home from vacation or when I have guests though, Pho Thanh is a solid choice for Vietnamese food. Da Vang is the best in the valley, but the dilapidated building and inconsistent availability of items on their menu means Pho Thanh is more accessible to average restaurant-goers. A plus is that a desert place is next door as well!
google avatar

Quynh P.

Yelp
This restaurant is huge, which worked out great for our stroller. All the dishes we ordered were tasty and came in large portions. Their bbq/ grilled pork (thit nuong) is not a piece of grilled meat. They are some sort of blend mixture of pork, seasonings and other things. It is still very good, just not what we thought it would be. The restaurant is linked to a milk tea and ice cream shop, and they let us order drinks to consume with our meals. We would come back here again the next time we are in town.

Andrew T.

Yelp
Pretty gold standard pho, would get again especially for the value $14~. Suong bo - wanted to try the pho with the beef rib but overall prob wouldn't get it again tho because meat was tough. Good portion however.

Yelp
The service is absolutely disgusting they are very rude to all customers not just us place is pretty dirty probably could use a health inspection if you're going to run a business you should treat your customers with utmost respect were the ones paying for your rent and keeping your business open if you're having a bad day don't show it we didn't do it we kindly came in spending our money to help your business out we will not be coming back I'm very disappointed. You are getting a one star not because I wanted to give it to you but I had no choice but I take that star back peace
