Hundertwasser House

I finally made it to this unique apartment complex! The vibrant colors and lush greenery caught my eye immediately. The uneven floors and quirky design elements make it feel like stepping into a work of art. It was nice to explore – plants growing from inside the units, branches spilling out of windows, and trees on the roof. Since it's still a residential building, the atmosphere was pretty chill. Got there easily on the Strassebahn/tram. Definitely a cool spot!

A wonderful place that captivates you with its architecture. However, the building could really use some restoration and a fresh coat of paint, as the colors look a bit dull and not as vibrant as they were a few years ago. The little shops across the street are lovely and definitely worth checking out. Also, right in front of the building there’s a red telephone booth completely covered in stickers — a perfect spot for some great photos! (Too bad it was freezing cold 🥹)

Hundertwasser House was one of the most refreshing sights during my trip to Vienna. I just loved the vibe of this colorful house – it felt like I was visiting a different dimension of Earth. 😂 It was both mystical and beautiful. It's a simple house with some souvenir shops and cafes/restaurants nearby, but it's definitely a place to visit in Vienna.

Hundertwasserhaus is not just a building, it’s a statement—colorful, organic, and completely against straight lines. The philosophy behind it—nature, individuality, and harmony with the environment—comes through clearly and makes the visit meaningful, not just visual. Even from the outside, it’s absolutely worth the visit and feels refreshingly different from classical Vienna. Creative, bold, and unforgettable. A must-see.

I liked it here. It has a very bohemian feel. Everything is very reasonably priced too. There is a very unique architectural design in this part of the city. Very good for photo opportunities,

An artistic apartment building inspired by the great painter Friedensreich Hundertwasser. There is also a souvenir shop at the complex and a nice Café to get some refreshments.

One of the most remarkable architectural dream-works in Vienna and not only! Worth walking there from the center and walking all around the place, finding more interesting details of the main building and its surroundings!

Absolutely one of Vienna’s most unforgettable sights! The Hundertwasserhaus is a breathtaking piece of architectural art — a true celebration of color, creativity and nature right in the heart of the city. Designed by artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, this residential building stands out with its vibrant façade, irregular shapes, and the more than 200 trees and shrubs growing on balconies and rooftop terraces that give it a wonderfully green, almost magical feel.  What makes it especially cool is that you can admire this masterpiece completely for free from the outside, wandering around and snapping photos from different angles. Even though you can’t go inside the apartments (since it’s actually inhabited private residence), the exterior alone is worth the stop.  Right across the street is the charming Hundertwasser Village, designed in the same playful style, with cafés and boutiques that make the visit even more enjoyable.  Whether you love architecture, love unique art, or are just curious about something totally different, Hundertwasserhaus is a must-see in Vienna. A perfect blend of creativity, nature and joyful design — unforgettable!
