"The Red City’s Best Pool Passes From April onward, access to a pool is essential to your enjoyment of Marrakech—and canny entrepreneurs have ensured there’s something for every budget. The city has some mega-luxury treats within walking distance of the medina, like the poolside pavilions at the Royal Mansour’s Le Jardin and the pool that launched a thousand photo shoots at La Mamounia. Expect to spend upward of $80 just to get in. There are also plenty of accessibly priced options a little out of town. The top of our list are the ultra-deep, black-tiled, 115-foot long twin pools at the Beldi country club, where $40 gets you a pool pass, a sun lounger beneath the olive trees, and a slap-up barbecue lunch. It gets busy, though, so if you’re after something a little more serene, book a car to take you out to the Jnane Tamsna in the middle of the Palmeraie, where gloriously scented gardens and five serene turquoise pools are hidden away among the date palms. Pool access, including a three-course lunch that fuses Moroccan Mediterranean with more fiery Senegalese flavors, is about the same price. Out at the Fellah Hotel, up-close views of the mighty Atlas Mountains can be soaked up from a shabby-chic poolside terrace over lunch (not included) while rubbing shoulders with the foundation's artists in residence. Pool access costs $22."

The hotel setting is stunning, and huge. The pools are all beautiful (a few are heated; the rest are cold but that’s what you want on a hot day!). There are some smaller shallower ones for kids, and plenty of grown up pools as well. I had a Hammam and massage which was very relaxing and the service in the spa was excellent. We had a large family room which was clean and elegantly decorated. It felt like we were staying in an old Moroccan village with lanes and squares and little alleyways - it really was charming. The staff were very kind and cheerful, and I definitely got the impression that they were working very hard to ensure the guests enjoyed themselves. They were all really good with kids. My one criticism would be that the service could be very slow and the menu limited, but the quality of the food was good and waiting staff were friendly and charming. While this clearly has annoyed other guests, we leant into it and slowed down our own pace which relaxed us! All other aspects of service (e.g. room cleaning and bar staff) were great. You book this hotel knowing it’s a taxi ride from the Medina, and it’s nice to be away from the bustle of the city centre. It forces you to think carefully about how you want to spend your time, and maybe that a day in the hotel grounds swimming and relaxing is exactly what you need!

Paid 440 MAD each for pool and three course dinner for two. Worst service we've experienced in Morocco. Booked for the second dinner sitting. Waited an hour for a drink. Longer for starters, and when they arrived, it appeared that they'd run out, as my wife was served only a slice of burrata. We then received an escalope with cold mashed potato, with earlier diners having received chips. Again, I suspect they'd run out. The food was less than mediocre. Of the set menu, by the second setting 3 of 9 main courses had sold out, and 2 of 6 desserts sold out. Avoid this place at all costs. It's not worth it.

This trip was meant to be a very special surprise from my boyfriend, who wanted to take me to one of the most magical places in Morocco. Everything looked so beautiful in the photos, and he truly believed it would be a dreamy, unforgettable experience. You can imagine his disappointment — and mine — when we arrived and found ourselves in such a strange and unsettling place. He didn’t even know what to do or where to turn. From the moment we got there, it felt like we had stepped into an abandoned world, as if a bomb had gone off and everyone had vanished. Dry, dead plants, an empty restaurant with broken furniture, and an eerie silence everywhere. During the 30 minutes we stayed, we didn’t see a single guest — only one person at reception. The garden was completely lifeless, the service we had been promised didn’t exist, and when we asked to book a table at the restaurant, we were told we had to wait for a specific shift time — yet there wasn’t a soul around. The rooms had two heavy iron bolts on the inside, which felt very unsettling and gave us the feeling we needed to lock ourselves in for safety. Even getting there was disappointing: the road was rough and dusty, going through a strange, rural area that didn’t match the luxurious image we were expecting. In the end, we paid for one night but left immediately and happily moved to the Four Seasons, where we could truly enjoy the magic of Morocco. Advice: Please read the reviews before booking so you don’t experience the same shock we did. Morocco is a beautiful, magical place — make sure to stay somewhere that truly reflects that magic.

We had a really horrible time here. From arrival there was no welcome with no signage and had idea where to go. When we finally found some a hotel with a member of staff they blamed us and said we should have gotten help on the way in (no one was there) eventually we found the adult pool after wandering the campus for quite some time only to find it was shut and work men around and the other pools had no free loungers in the sun. It was really difficult to communicate with staff who wanted to just fob us off. We’d travelled by taxi from the medina so were disappointed and asked for a refund to go back to our hotel which was better. At this point staff revealed their obstinate, rude, sexist and obstructive behaviour. I understand this is in Africa with different social norms nit in what is described as a country club I expected some respect from male staff given they cater to western clients. . One man came along and refused to let me speak (I’m female) and he spoke over me each time I said anything. He firmly refused to listen to me and he rolled his eyes when I tried to say so . They told us a manager was needed for our refund and then kept saying they would arrive. There was no signage on site so we couldn’t go to any management area so we’re forced to wait whilst they constantly fobbed us off. When the manager arrived the staff minimised and denied the style of communication to the manager. I found this service unacceptable and am glad I was refunded and left although it did ruin the day and take up time and money

What a shame. We stayed for 5 nights in October 2025. The grounds and architecture are beautiful which is what drew us to Beldi. Unfortunately we did not read the reviews. The breakfast and restaurant experience is extremely disappointing. Poor choice of food and what is there is low quality, especially at breakfast which is easily the worst hotel breakfast I have ever seen and breakfast staff make guests feel like a hindrance. Being located outside the city centre, this issue is amplified as you have no other choice if you want to stay around the hotel. There are often long waits at lunch whilst the hotels restaurant caters for the huge influx of day trips that take place. The hotel clearly prioritises day trips and events over the hotel guests. No one mans the poolside bar, probably because there seem to be so few hotel guests using the facilities to accommodate them. Few guests attend the hotel restaurants in the evening as there are far better options in the city - Marrakech is not short of great cuisine which makes the Beldi restaurant experience all the more confusing. We did have a few enjoyable cocktails at the Cactus bar. Our bedroom was ok but did not have basic amenities like a mini fridge and the bed was not particularly comfortable. Some staff are pretty rude, it is a struggle to get a smile out of most. Overall we were expecting a lot more especially given the price. What a shame as the grounds and buildings have huge potential for the most amazing hotel experience. We came away feeling that the whole place is set up to extract maximum profit from tourists with minimal effort.

I love this place, it’s beautiful and super well located, good crowd also but… the service is really something, the whole staff at the restaurant is slow, on the phone, too hard to say hello, too hard to give menus, 6 waiters looking at you but not moving a finger… smiling to you only at payment for a tips Every time I’m happy to say, ok maybe it was only this time, but it sounds it’s like this all the time So bored about this service that is getting worst and worst in Morocco, but don’t worry prices still go up

Beautiful place, however we had issues with the waiter and payments. Prepare cash when you come because they will make you pay before you even finish your coffee or your drinks. They chased us to pay when we were just moving from the table to the sun beds right next to it. The staff was suspicious and treated as if we were going to run away. Upon saying to the waiter that doing many transactions with my card was making me pay a lot of charges and I prefer to pay everything in 1 transaction, The staff was arguing with me and even started to bring God in the conversation which is not acceptable to me. I came to relax with my 4 friends and not to be treated like a thief and not to be lectured on god.

We were very disappointed upon arrival at the hotel. The photos on the website are highly misleading and do not reflect the reality. The gardens were completely neglected, dry, and clearly lacking maintenance. The restaurant was equally underwhelming, which led us to leave before even having lunch. Fortunately, Marrakech offers many wonderful alternatives, and we quickly found a much better option. Unfortunately, the Beldi does not live up to its online presentation and was a major letdown…….I strongly recommend not to go there!!!
