"Tropical Plants The impressive Palmhuset greenhouse in the middle of Trädgårdsföreningen park hosts a large number of tropical plants and butterflies. It was built in 1878 with the famous Crystal Palace in London as its inspiration. It's named after the middle area of the building, where palm trees (the tallest one is 14 meters!) and ferns grow."

Many nice exhibits of palms, cactus, other exotic plants from around the tropical world. Definitely worth a visit, and free entrance.

Beautiful and free place - so many awesome plants and wildlife to see! The greenhouse (as well as the park itself) is completly free. When I entered parts of it were renovated but there was still so many things to discover. The paths in the greenhouse are very small and pretty easily crowded, but since i could take all the time i want that didnt bother me. All plants have a latin name with a sign. The park also has restaurants and cafes. I couldnt find a toilet.

So happy we made it here. The park was a little uninspiring but the glass house was absolutely stunning and the Christmas decorations was simple but gorgeous. The rooms are set up to different temperature to cater for the plants. There's a section where you can write Christmas memories or greetings I would say this is must if in Gothenburg if you like plants.

Lovely greenhouse showcasing plants and trees from all over the world! There are multiple rooms to explore and various places to sit and rest. It is definitely fairly warm inside, so be prepared to take off any heavy clothing after entering.

I've been to a few greenhouses in Europe and this one didn't stand out. I wouldn't visit it as a tourist, only if you have a lot of time and need to fill it. It's quite small, all explanations are only in Swedish and due to the construction 2/5 of the rooms were not accessible. On the other hand, the need for renovation is obvious, many metal parts are rusty and the paint is peeling. It's not as humid and hot as usual. I liked the terrace with seating. You're allowed to sit and eat here (self brought food and beverages). Entry is for free.

Very nice public garden with no entrance fee. It is very convenient with many seating areas even within the glass house. There was even free wifi inside. There are many plant types that you can see and you can relax in the exterior gardens as well while contemplating the beautiful plants.

Was absolutely amazing!!! A beautiful botanical garden that had several areas where you could bring a book to enjoy or laptop to work on. Truly a gem!!!

The beautiful palm house is free to visit and an absolute gem of Gothenburg. There is a beautiful balcony with tables and chairs which is ideal for a picnic. There are some brilliant plants on display - including a cocoa plant! Great for its educational value as well as being a stunning spot to pass some time.
