Fantastic campsite location.Sam meets you at the Quay to transport your bags giving you time to explore the islands pub, general store, cafe and other shops before arriving at the farm shop. An ice cream before setting up in a sheltered position. Great facilities with charging points. Staff very helpful plenty of dairy goods in shop. A great few days will mean a return visit in the near future!!

This place is cosmic good. Camping a few feet from the sea. You become part of the landscape and feel island set. Great ice cream, super helpful owners. You will be friends with many strangers, and make connections that reward for eternity.

This is the only dairy on the Isles of Scilly and they make their own products. In such a small shop there is so much choice available. We tried the yogurts and the ice creams. Our favourite was the coconut one - possibly the best ice cream we've ever tasted. A great place to get your milk too. They also have jacket potatoes available, but you have to order in advance.

Such a special place – stunning views, peaceful atmosphere, and the friendliest team. The ice cream is incredible (especially with that sea view!) and the whole farm has a real charm. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing location. Facilities kept very clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Three adults in bell tent was fine but four would be a squeeze, particularly if weather bad.

Amazing ice cream made on the farm. Beautiful view, including Bishop Rock lighthouse.

Despite being a young group of friends, the campsite welcomed us well. We stayed in a bell tent which was waterproof and provided lots of good quality equipment. Although it's a small space inside, the tents were well spread out. There was also easy access to the coastal walks and the beach, with a short walk to the quay.

Had the best fortnight at the Troytown campsite. Besides the best ice creams, which are made there, the views are better than anywhere I've ever been! ||To wake up in the morning & watch the seals bobbing about from my bed was a real treat. ||||The facilities were very good! Hot showers (£1 for 3mins), washing machine & dryer available. ||Location: just behind the beach with the waterspouts available onsite. A 10-20min walk from a lovely cafe, very good shop, handmade pizzas (Covevean) & a pub (the Turk's Head). ||Day trips to other islands available.||||Value for money: cannot fault it. I took my own tent & paid £17 including the dog. They also hire out bell tents that come with everything you'll need. ||||Wifi: to keep up-to-date with the local information (boat times etc) it's useful have have wifi... & it was free! ||||The people who run it are always very friendly & helpful.||||I will definitely be going back! Loved it!

Yelp
Troytown Farm comprises two businesses: the campsite and the shop selling the farm's produce, which includes their famous ice cream and clotted cream. The farm has a herd of Jersey and Ayrshire cows, producing the rich milk needed for cream. The ice cream comes in 30 flavours, including rose and geranium (recommended). Bought at the farm shop, you can have a waffle cone with up to two scoops, with optional chocolate flake, caramel wedge or - for a completely indulgent and artery-clogging experience - they'll add a scoop of clotted cream. Strongly recommended.
