Shabuzen Roppongi

A very warm and friendly spot — I was greeted and well taken care of by the aunty at Shabuzen, which instantly set the tone. The quality of the meat was amazing, and I really loved their sauce, soup, and overall service. There’s genuinely nothing I’d complain about. I also appreciated the unique bowl they provide, which lets you separate the meat and the soup in one bowl. It’ll make sense once you visit Shabuzen yourself. The ice cream was spot on too — definitely a must in my opinion. I dropped by on a Tuesday, and it started getting very busy around 7 PM, so keep that in mind if you prefer quieter dining times.

I recommend the 14000 yen all you can eat Japanese Black Sirloin. We tried that and the two "cheaper" types, and the 2000 yen upgrade definitely makes sense. There is a clear difference (although the rib roast is tender "enough"). Didn't try the Matsasuka, but I imagine given how well-marbled the Sirloin (pictured) was, you might not get much more value from the further upgrade. Service was good by my buffet standards. (Perhaps this is expected in Japan?) They served the wrong order, and took it away without complaint when I mentioned it to them.

This was one of our favorite places for Shabu Shabu and Sukiyaki. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We found it a bit difficult as they didnt speak English but we got through it and they were so so nice to us trying to explain as much as they could about the dishes, the beef and everything. The food was amazing, the place is clean and very nice. When we came out they gave some little presents to our kids (an origami kit and chopsticks), they were very happy.

Came here with a group of overseas guests and we ordered the shabushabu Japanese beef set which was 10,000 yen and included all you can eat Japanese beef and all you can drink. We all left very happy as service was super attentive and quick. The overseas guest loved it as it was Japanese service and food as well as some staff spoke English. It's a great location and for the quality and service it's great.

We ordered sets of wagyu beef for sukiyaki that were good…the service was good too…the egg yorks and saucing were not as good as the very top rated sukiyaki places though.

Definitely worth it. We had a reservation but didn't need one at the time we went; late afternoon. Service was excellent, the staff was very attentive and helpful. We ordered the premium Japanese beef sirloin sukiyaki. It was expensive but all-you-could-eat. The yaki onigiri was good as was the scallop topped with sea urchin. The restaurant also offers shabu-shabu. Worth it.

Highly recommend if you like to try shabu shabu with premium beef. Japanese staff could speak simple English and were dressed in kimono. We had the eat all you can beef menu. The staff were attentive and would serve a new beef platter when you have finished the current platter. The vegetables were also served repeatedly. As the beef were fatty, the soup would be covered in a thick layer of oil. Do enjoy a cup of hot tea when you have finished the meal to help clear the oil from your stomach.

Great place for shabu-shabu! I had a fantastic time here. Super delicious and one thing to note, always leave room for the noodles and dessert after! Very fresh food and well worth your time to come here.
