Seriously some of the best sandwiches around. With sandwiches named “bathroom,” “Kanye interrupt,” and “munch on my box,” how can you go wrong? Such a good spot to come for lunch cause the lines aren’t too long. God help you if you come on a Saturday morning though because everyone in the hood knows this is the spot to get a sandwich to blast away their hangover.

crispy bacon inside of a very well composed wrap, that i picked off the pretty ridiculously named list, the sorry ladies was truly a slam dunk. the iced tea was nothing but refreshing and light. and the cashews type fire. this my new spot.

Asked for the grilled chicken quesadilla and got a haphazardly thrown together quesadilla that had none of the ingredients besides cheese and chicken. I paid $12.71 for this like where are the onions and peppers. It’s on the menu I shouldn’t have to specify.

DELICIOUS. They sell all manner of stuff inside and it's pretty cool and open 24 hours which is great, but the deli is the best part. I'm a vegetarian and came with a friend who was not, and she said her food was good, but LET ME TELL YOU. I was nearly in tears- I never thought I'd eat a deli sandwich that good again ever, and they had so many vegetarian options.

I have been ordering delivery from here for a few years. They have always done exactly what I asked when there were special instructions. Recently, I asked for a large dill pickle along with my sandwich for delivery. The sandwich was phenomenal, and the pickle was one of, if not, the largest I’ve ever seen. Hana never disappoints.

I tried to take photos of their sandwich menu to send to 2 friend so I could order food for them, and the employees yelled at me for taking them and told me I couldn’t. I told them I was trying to find out what my friends wanted so I could order for them, and they said I could not take the pictures and I had to leave. Here are the pictures I took, that they apparently do not want published online. I guess the titles of the sandwiches are offensive or something (one sandwich is called “My girlfriend is a whore”)? Anyways, if you go here, make sure to not take any photos of the menu.

Dont take pick up orders then uvget there have to wait 20 minsvfor a sandwhich and 10vmins for the delivery guy to come back

Horrible experience with all 3 men I had to encounter in the store. At the deli counter, the man got the order wrong from what I said, and when I corrected him he got extremely sassy and disrespectful in his tone and goes "is that not what I said?" and I said "it wasn't" and then he rolled his eyes. My bf then said something to him about his tone and words he used, and wouldn't make eye contact with him and didn't acknowledge him or myself. We then went to tell the person at the counter about the situation and he also didn't make eye contact and ignored us. The way they treated me and didn't acknowledge the misogyny was insane, women I would not go here for your safety.

Terrible deli. Workers are rude and misogynistic - they talked down to my partner and were very rude after she asked a simple question. Then when we tried to bring it up how that's not okay they ignored us and the guy gave us a dirty look. Never going back here and they don't deserve your business.

Once upon a time New York City was the city that never slept and it was a question of what you wanted to eat at 3:00 AM on a Tuesday and not whether anything was open. In the New New York late night options are limited but Hana Food remains consistent in churning out quality and tasty food regardless of the time of day. I've never been to Hana and left hungry or unhappy; they do what they do and they do it consistently and at still at reasonable prices given what you get for what you pay. You decide what you want and how you simply or complexly you want it made and leave the rest up to the masters on the other side of the counter. I switch up my order based on my mood but I'm especially a fan of the combination of the El Mexicano. Service has always been good during my visits and obviously things may take more or less time depending on how busy it is and how much of a Karen you may or may not be.

Hana Food (specifically the one on metropolitan) is one of the only delis that still makes this area of Williamsburg feel like home. This is due to so much change over the years, but also the reliability in the quality of the sandwiches. There are vegan options here and I call the sandy witch on a wrap my go-to for 10+ years. My partner loves the marry me omar for many moons. It's 24-hours and has a good chip selection, need I say more? Drink selection is good too.

If you're in Williamsburg late at night and want a sandwich, just come here. I've been to this place a million times over the years both before I lived in NYC and during. Solid spot. 24hrs. Monster subs. As my friend once eloquently put it at 4am after a night on the town "Ked, Hanna has got the heaters. Don't go anywhere else. Just face the facts."

Hana Food has the best deli food in the Williamsburg area. Service is always great and they make the food quickly. I always get the Party Upstairs!

Place rocks. As a visitor to the city I was recommended by a friend and it was 10/10. In fact, we were inconvenienced because we tried to order one but the guy was on break and the shop clerk told us he had no idea when he would return. So we came back and got Sammy's. They were incredible. And yea the guy making them was indeed throwing a tantrum the whole time. This made the whole experience even better. It was literally made with disdain and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had.

The El Mexicano is so good!! Highly recommend!! You order at the deli counter and they have it ready in like 10min (depending how busy they are).

I think what I called was Munch on my ass, with pesto, grilled Turkey, mayo, mozzarella on a hero, I added provolone.... When I tell you this was the best sandwich I've ever had!!! I live in LA and I see where Jersey mikes can not stand any contest against these ny deli's! I am reasonably impressed. It's packed with flavor and SO much food. They guy who was making the food was very straight forward and from my friends perspective a little rude but it added a little NY razzle dazzle for me so I didn't mind it lmao will be back!

Used to love these sandwiches, but they have gotten bad to worse. The past few times, my sandwich has been messed up, but this time was inedible. i got a sandwich with tomato, basil, roasted red peppers, mozzarella and olive oil on a baguette. Roasted red peppers and basil were missing, instead some wet, unwashed spinach, on dry bread. the tomatoes are light pink. it was so gross. For $11. I threw it out. That was the final straw. over this place.

Good sandwiches! We were at the Barcade 4min away and they had free delivery. My friend got the #37 Maximo and I got the #48 Jeffro sandwich. We split and tried each. Both are legit and you get a lot for the price. Lots of options to choose from and I will definitely order again.

Sandwiches are good but overpriced and the staff is miserable. As a person who worked in food/bev service I get it, even an off day, but they are consistently aholes, particularly the deli guy.

Guy who makes sub-par sandwiches loves to make a tantrum every time. He hates his job and the food isn't great. Happens every time i'm here. Trust me there are better quality bodegas around the corner.

Best samich you can get in this area. They use fresh ingredients. the sandwich is always just as good as the last. Very consistent. I have a bunch of favorites but the Jim carry is probably my go too. Not to mention the beverage selection and foreign snacks are top tier. Honestly a well kept secret if you have never heard of this place. Plus they deliver them selves just give them a call.

Amazing sandwiches, super cheap too, only complaint is the dude working the grill, idk why he is so angry. Also, he cursed me out in Spanish, I don't think he knows this, but a lot of people speak the language, I'm not gonna say anything though to the guy making my food. It's not all the chefs there though, it's the guy whose there every morning like 5 am, the bigger guy is a nice guy, if you go, you know what I'm talking about

Hana is always a 10/10 for me. I've been coming here for years mainly for their large selection of Vegetarian and Vegan sandwiches. Everyone I bring here loves their sandwiches (regular and vegan). My favorites are the Showtime w/chipotle Mayo and the Tofurky Club w/chipotle Mayo. My non-vegan friends love the Kanye Interrupted. Its great to know they are still rockin and thriving during Covid times. Ordered Delivery for the first time through grub hub. It arrived pretty quickly, and my sandwich and coffee were still warm upon arrival.

The predator is heavenly. Roast beef and chicken... Also they carry my favorite drink now, MAKKU!

The cooks here always get your order wrong and are super rude. Very overpriced, go to a different bodega 100% you tell the guy behind counter to make you any sandwich there and it'll end up being bread and a slice of ham are kidding me

I walked in early morning to order a sandwich and was met with very rude customer service and told that the food is not 24/7. I prefer the Bushwick location.

This is hands down the best sandwich shop in all of NYC. I am happy to fight anyone that disagrees.

Ordered a BLT, got charged almost 7 for it and when I look at the sandwich I got 2 pieces of skinny bacon. Might as well have asked for a tomato and lettuce on a roll. Not worth it and the cook is rude. It might be acceptable for tourists or people who just move into the area but if you grew up in NYC you'll automatically know this deli is overpriced and not worth it. There's a deli directly across the street that will make the same basic sandwiches for cheaper.

This is our go-to for sandwiches. They have a huge selection, lots of good choices and funny, creative names. One of our favorites is The Jeffro which is a staple in our order. This time we tried the Metropolitan Hang Over which was also good if you like blue cheese dressing. Others we've enjoyed in the past are The Bathroom and The Godfather. Hana Food also carries our favorite and pretty hard-to-find potato chips, Zapp's Hotter N Hot Jalapeno. Delivery is always quick and the sandwiches come hot and fresh. Hana has been a go to of mine for over a decade. They have always been perfect in terms of getting my order right, whether I order in store, call my order in or get delivery. The last 2 times have been different. Last time, they gave me the wrong sandwich. It wasn't as good as my regular, but fine. Today I was tucking in at the airport when I realized there was real bacon in the Gay Boy, which is super disappointing. Please, get it together Hana!

This spot is my local go to for sandwiches in Williamsburg. They have a wide variety of different sandwiches (with super funny names as well) and I haven't had a bad experience with any yet. My go to is the Kia sandwich, healthy yet tasty at the same time!

Terrible customer service. I had ordered the lake house sandwich with no bacon (i do not eat bacon for religious purposes) and was served with a sandwich with bacon. When I calmly asked them to please make a new sandwich due to this mistake I was met with hostility and was told I had to buy a new one. As a queer black man I felt targeted and unsafe in this environment. What's more, he felt comfortable so this was definitely not his first time.

Living in California, I've been to New York about 4 times in the last two years and regardless of where I am in the city, I always make it a point of hitting Hana Food when I'm there. The only thing better than the names of the sandwiches are the actual sandwiches themselves. Loaded with toppings and flavor, you would be hard-pressed to not find a sandwich you won't love. Do yourself a favor next time you're in the area and make a stop here a priority. Worth every cent.

Ok, wow. I stumbled in at 3am needing food with my noisy friends. We were truly looking for the bare minimum of food- anything with an 24 hour grill. And what did we find? Somehow the best wrap I've ever had. I got the "Drunken Asshole," which, very fitting. It has a bunch of stuff in it- chicken cutlet, avocado, bacon, Russian dressing, and like seven other ingredients. The guy in front of me told me to order it. I would have eaten trash. My friends and I sat on the street, expecting whatever. Instead I ate this dynamic, flavorful, and perfectly balanced wrap. I sat there gossiping with my drunk happy friends, wolfing down $10 sandwiches, thinking about how lucky we are to be in this city. When we're older we'll think about that night we went to a couple drag bars and had that GOOD sandwich while waiting for an Uber. Basically this wrap turned my life into an episode of HBO's Girls. But like not cringe-y. It's worth a try.

"Wacky names for sandwiches" I stopped here after a late night of drinking in Williamsburg and I was pleasantly surprised (it was not the booze talking). This place is a cross between a bodega and small grocery store. I got the " Kayne Interrupt " (Taylor Swift, Who?) and the sandwich was surprisingly good. The sandwiches are pretty standard in terms of ingredients but the wacky names like "monkeyass'" "crazy bitch," and "my girlfriend is a whore" gives the sandwiches that extra "charm" or "flavor". Who came up with these names anyway. This place is perfect for getting a snack before waiting for the G train, the unicorn line of the mta.

Stopped in here once months ago and the food was....nothing special. Pulled up the menu on Grubhub to give it another try on this rainy morning and caught a little gem of a menu item name called "The Illegal" - a dish with clear Mexican/Southwestern influences. Lmao. Food was forgettable as hell to begin with (literally. I had forgotten what their food was like) but more importantly who's gonna tell em that 2010 ironic hipster racism is still just racism? These poor idiots deserve to know In the mean time, go literally anywhere else for an overpriced sandwich, no shortage of that in Williamsburg

I wish I had a Hana Food by me. The convenience for a Vegan makes this place a game changer. The sandwiches are made with perfection by their talented chef. Moreover, there's many goods you can purchase from this convenient deli - household products to a plethora of grocery items. Although the worker's mannerisms aren't quite up to my standards, the shear variety of products and sandwiches they offer makes this place 5-star to me.

This place is a seriously solid health-conscious convenience store, offering your basic drunk food (most often ordered for delivery) & dinner on long weekdays. Free delivery & lots of groceries! They have ~45 vegetarian sandwiches and ~80 regular sandwiches. On the inside, it's your everyday quick mart, offering household supplies, grocery food, & a hot food menu. But what makes Hana Food different is that it offers the stuff you can find at Whole Foods, 24 hours a day. A margin more expensive, but the variety here cannot be beat. Their hot food menu is among one of the best when it comes to vegetarian options, too! On the days I crave a hamburger but know I should be eating leaner, I come here because they don't serve any sandwiches that have ground beef. In the past, I have ordered these: - Jack Black Sandwich - hero with turkey burger, bacon, jack cheese, red onion, jalapeno and B.B.Q. sauce (very filling, can usually be made two meals if you add avo) - Any breakfast sandwich - No Man's Island - baguette with grilled chicken, cheddar cheese, bacon, avocado, tomato and Russian dressing The owners are friendly and the food is typically fresh. My roommate has also sometimes ordered groceries for delivery.

Sandwiches are good not great and the guy behind the grill is rude. I decided to create my own sandwich and I asked if the cook can toast my sandwich, he responds "I know what I'm doing l, okay!?" Again, sandwiches are good. Check it out if you're either drunk or hungover, def cures either.

Didn't think it was this good. Looks like a regular deli. They have branded themselves with the best sandwiches in Brooklyn that I have came across. The names of the sandwiches are pretty funny as well. I think I stood there looking at the names for about 10 mins just repeating them lol. I will be back!

Samichs are amazing but try ordering and your gonna get a insane wait and they don't even answer the phone. I have been waiting for a samich for over two hours and I can't even reach anyone.

Walked in and ordered a sandwich.... 5 cockroaches were walking around behind the deli. As I cancel my order the guy rudely asks why he's he himself sees the cockroaches. As if in being picky, then I see a rat. So I just leave and the guy screams at me for not paying. DOH needs to hit these guys up ASAP Also the sandwiches suck every time. Probably should have reviewed a long time ago. Their sandwich game is 5 stars. They have some crazy combinations, but just a simple turkey or roast beef with cheese, lettuce, and tomato is always fresh and very good.

When it comes to a Bodega sandwich in East Williamsburg/Williamsburg, Hana Food is a sure shot go to. It never fails. The sandwiches are delicious and loaded with wide variety of quality ingredients. Sandwiches range from $7 to $11. Sandwiches are served on either a hero, roll, wheat bread, or a wrap. Staff is fairly quick at churning out your order. The sandwiches are hearty enough for 2 servings.

Went there to buy a snack and got double-charged (because looks like the cashier is not able to make the difference from apple pay to chip read). I noticed on my back account that he had done this. The card didnt even get declined but he just said "not good"...Sir, learn the machine please. People are not broke because you think so. Thank you

I looove Hana. Being a vegetarian I'm so thankful for their many options. I could also swing by and grab a coffee or bag of Doritos. They have it all. I so miss living in the neighborhood to grab an egg and which or one of their signature sandwiches. So happy they have survived covid. Definitely a great place for good sandwiches and to grab essentials!

I USED to love getting lunch sandwiches from here (not breakfast - breakfast was gross). Old sandwich guy (though rushed) was never rude and was always on point with his sandwich game. The new guy messed up my order due to him just not listening, and we didn't realize it until I got back to my apartment. I called to explain (knowing that they do delivery and could easily just deliver me a new one - and I'd of course give a nice tip) - and the guy who answered the phone was SO rude. He was like, "I don't know what sandwich that was, I don't make them" - yeah I know dude, but you work 10 ft away from new-sandwich-guy, you could easily ask your coworker and confirm... I told him nevermind, and my boyfriend went all the way back with the gross sandwiches. They were downright mean to him trying to say it was HIS fault that new-sandwich-guy messed up the sandwiches? Then made him pay $2 extra for the cheese THEY forgot? Not one apology? What kind of customer service is that?! Horrible. Additionally, everything in the place is over-priced. They also have "wine" which is bottled and labeled "wine" but if you look closely it actually says 3% alcohol suuuper tiny on the back. I almost bought it once but a nice customer in the store gave me the heads up because the people who work there have let him buy it before and not told him. Just overall bad. Will never be back and it's a shame. Not expecting anyone to kiss the ground when I walk in, BUT won't tolerate businesses that make the effort to be downright rude to customers.

Let me start off by saying I been going there for years. I introduced this place to my sister and a bunch of friends and every single time we all have the same experience. That disgusting sad excuse for a person working behind the counter making sandwiches. It doesn't matter how nice you are to him, it's like every day he's having a bad day and hates his job. I've let it slide every single time but this time I've had enough. I ordered my sandwich without Mayo.. he adds Mayo so I go inside and politely ask him to make me another. He starts yelling at me saying if I want another one I have to pay for it and take it up with the owner. Excuse me????? I understand everyone makes mistakes but to yell at me in front of a whole store is disgusting especially when it was YOUR mistake. I'll be taking my business to the Hana's in bushwick from now on and so will everyone I sent there. This man needs to be fired. I've had enough of his disgusting attitude.

It's OK... The place is nice & clean with a mini Whole Food type of design with a few tables. However, those that swear this is the best Deli, well they know nothing about NYC Deli's @ all to make such an authoritative statement. The best part of it all is that It Is Very Convenient... open 24/7 with a variety of healthy/organic food (as well as junk food marketed as healthy), they have plenty of beer brands, and other things like newspapers, incense, flowers, candies, bread/crackers, dairy products, etc. Hana is very overrated and all is really overpriced, but it's the only Deli solution in this Bushwick Nabe! I shop there when I have no other viable alternative open after 10PM like the Key Food Supermarket a few blocks away, or the really great City Fresh Market on Knickerbocker!
