We had an incredible meal at Contramar today — truly one of those long, lazy Mexico City lunches that feels like a full experience. We ordered the holy trinity: the tostadas de atún, the pulpo a la gallega, and the pescado a la talla, and every single dish delivered.
The tuna tostadas were bright, crisp, and silky — the kind of bite that makes you stop talking for a second. The pulpo was beautifully tender and smoky. And the pescado a la talla (we did 700g on our server’s recommendation) was the star: perfectly grilled, half red and half green, with enough depth and acidity to keep you chasing every last piece.
The energy here is exactly what you want in Roma Norte — vibrant, buzzy, and effortlessly stylish. Perfect for sharing everything and lingering over food and conversation. Highly recommend.
