Like everything on Bruny, book ahead and kick back for lunch and plenty of Pinot Noir.

My partner and I stopped for a late lunch and to try a couple of wines. The staff were friendly and seated us promptly. My partner has dietary requirements and the waitress was friendly and accommodating. A few minutes after ordering the Chef, Shaun, came out and discussed her requirements. He was incredibly friendly and professional, knowing the menu and ingredients in detail. The food was absolutely delicious and excellent value. Shaun came back out after our meal to personally chat about the food and it made the experience personal and very thoughtful. We'll definitely be coming back next time we're on Bruny!

TERRIBLE, RIPPED OFF! We were served stale crackers with oil and dukkah! Couldn’t eat this! We were told the bread has animal fat in it? Cauliflower was not cooked through and very tough and chewy, and the mushrooms were also served with stale dry crackers. We were starving so tried to eat as much as possible but had to leave over half the meal, it was awful and this cost us over $150. We are all hungry and feel sick from what we did eat. The waitress is lovely but looked very guilty as she put the food on our table. She knew! While waiting for our meal, we heard two other tables complain!

Our experience at Bruny Island Premium Wines was appalling. We were required to wait to be seated, which was fine. We then placed our order quickly — only a couple of burgers and a salad. After waiting more than an hour, no food arrived. I went to the staff myself to ask what was happening and was told “it’s on the way.” It never came. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. Eventually, we had to walk out hungry, wasting our time and completely ruining our visit. For a venue that presents itself as “premium,” this level of service is absolutely unacceptable. If you can’t manage basic food orders or communicate honestly with customers, you should not be operating a restaurant. This was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. We would strongly advise others to think twice before eating here.

As visitor's to the island, we were excited to go to Friday night Thai night . It was the worse meal we have ever eaten . Inedible fish cakes , Thai green curry that looked like a can of coconut cream with a minuscule amount of diced frozen veggies, and satay chicken with no hint of satay sauce .On top of this, dietary requirements of no onion/ no garlic were not met . Very disappointing, , and we will not be returning. .

Had an absolutely amazing lunch at the winery,it is abit on the pricier side, but given how fresh the ingredients are,it was worth it Their ciders are underrated btw, give them a try.Its soo good

We looked at the menu before booking, the prices were high but the seafood platter was the best we'd seen advertised in Tasmania and the instagram photos looked great. Upon arrival we were told the seafood platter wasn't available, so we ordered the soft shelled crab as staters and the waiter recommended the Asian pork belly. My partner ordered the steak. We had a nice flight of wine while we waited. We particularly enjoyed the pinot gris, very nice and interesting flavour. The soft shelled crab was nice but not crispy or hot as you'd think if freshly fried. The steak was cooked well but the broccoli was raw. The pork belly was cooked with pho style flavour and didn't go with the cauliflower cheese puree, was missing the Asian jus and salt roasted macadamia listed on the menu and also came with a side of raw broccoli. At dessert we liked the sound of the lemon tart but were told that it was also not available. Two starters, two flights of wine, three glasses of wine, two mains and one dessert for $280 was disappointing compared to other food we'd had in Tasmania. Not a premium food experience but nice wine and friendly staff.

My partner and I had an outstanding experience last Saturday at this winery and restaurant. The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious, with each dish being a true highlight. The wine was of premium quality, perfectly complementing the meal. The stuff attended to all our needs with great care, and we will definitely be returning many more times Thank you ❤️❤️

Can’t recommend this place enough. The staff were so welcoming, taking care of us in a cold rainy day, turning on 2 heaters. The chowder was the best I ever had. Highest quality. Filled with seafood, the soup was almost just sauce! Worth every cent. Wine was exceptional.

Yelp
Reportedly Australia's southernmost winery, this is a great spot for tasting and for lunch. In fact it may be more of a restaurant that owns a winery rather than the other way round. We booked a 1:30 time for lunch and had a great table outside on the shady patio on an uncharacteristically warm (88 degrees!) summer day. The menu features lots of choices from burgers to shareable platters. We opted for a cheese platter with local l, some chili roasted almonds and the baked Bree. It was the perfect lunch. We also enjoyed a glass of the Sauvignon blanc and the sparkling rose with the meal. Following the meal, we stepped up to the tasting area ($5 pp-free with a bottle purchase) and sampled the entirety of their selection from unplanned Rose (last year's fires tainted the skin on the Pinot noir so the winemaker made a switch-delicious) to Sauvignon blanc, Riesling and Pinot noir. Wines were nice quality. While this place is on the bus tour circuit, they kept the larger groups segregated in the back of the large restaurant so we weren't at all impacted. It's worth the drive for the lunch quality alone and a peaceful and relaxing spot.

Yelp
Our fourth and last pit stop was at Bruny Island Premium Wines. You have to drive a few minutes on a gravel road to get there but it wasn't that bad. We dropped in just before closing (around 4:45pm). Sadly, food is only served from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Take note if you want to eat! Our server/pourer was awesome; turns out she's from Canada too. Talk about small world. There's two options for wine tasting ($5.00 AUD/person for four samples or $10.00 AUD to try all 10). You choose anything from the list of red, whites and ciders. All are grown on site! - 2x Wine tastings ($5.00 AUD) - I was driving but the girls each did a sampling. Some interesting offerings, especially the cider. - Blapple ($14.00 AUD bottle) - apple and blackberry. This is what you call completely drinkable. The combo was wonderfully delicious. Cool spot. Make sure you try the blapple!

Yelp
Friendly place that we thought we'd stop by for lunch. Did wine tasting prior to lunch, which helped decide which one to have during lunch. We had the wallaby, lamb chops and seafood chowder to share between three people. We thought it might not have been enough but it was quite filling suprisingly! The wallaby was done rare to ensure it was tender and didn't taste as game-y as we thought it might have been. Cousin had a nice glass of red to go with the wallaby and the lamb. The chowder was nice with a bit of sourdough and went well with the glass of Sauvignon blanc! Picturesque setting for lunch. Would suggest an early lunch to ensure a table as it was quite busy by the time we finished. Would recommend this place for lunch if heading to Bruny Island!

Yelp
Very nice! We had lunch here while spending a couple of days on the Island. Definitely the best food on the Island! Between us we had the lamb special, a steak and the Toulouse sausages (from Ross O'Meara's farm!). The steak was cooked a bit more than I asked for - but was so tender it really didn't matter! I loved the salad that come with it too. The sausages had a tasty apple sauce which complimented them perfectly. I didn't try the lamb but it got rave reviews. We shared the chocolate and sticky date pudding and it hit the mark. Service was good and I felt it was priced fairly. Enjoyed their wine too!

Yelp
This place was a great surprise - original meals using mostly local products, great service and a nice view on the vines. For $80 we had 2 (homemade) ciders and 4 tapas (more than enough for two). In particular, the salmon skewers with an asian sauce were delicious. Good address in the neighbourhood!

Yelp
Stumbled on this eatery after a late decision to visit Bruny Island for the day. Was very impressed by the food and the serene location. We had the veggie burger and the beef burger which were quite filling. We also washed the food down with the reserve sav blanc, very nice! Can highly recommend.
