One of the nicest Biergarten in Town, the atmosphere is friendly, less trendy than Brüsseler Platz or Aachener Weiher. There are toilets, aswell on the Gastronomy as chemical.ones in the park. The children area was renewed and reopen in 2021, with two big playgrounds, one right next to the terrace, wich is more suitable for smaller children, and at the other end of the square there is another playground with climbing structures, a small football field, ping pong table, and basketball net. The Bar/Restaurant is self service and quite accesible for persons with limited mobility. It doesn't open on rainy days!!!!

Nice biergarten near the center of Cologne, lots of trees and shadows, bands playing on Sunday afternoon, a good park for kids while you relax. Reasonable options for eating: cake, quiche and some salads.

Well you have to like Hellers Koelsch to enjoy this place I guess. I really don't like that beer because its very weird different taste. The place itself is nice but its no real alternative to the places in the park at the Aachener lake nearby. If you want to enjoy a cold one in the sun go to the park nearby instead.
