Curtiss Hotel

Loved our night at the Curtiss! We had been meaning to book a stay since the hard hat tour during construction, but most of our overnights take us out of town. Glad we could finally make it happen. We had been to the rooftop and rotating lobby bar many times before - it's a beautifully designed and decorated hotel. Really enjoyed the Urban Hot Springs - an especially fun experience in the winter. So nice that drinks are allowed (just no glass). The rooms are beautiful and we enjoyed the luxurious robes. My only constructive criticism is there was no lotion in the room and I forgot mine. Definitely needed after being in the water. But that was miniscule - we had a great time and will be back.

Absolutely loved everything about this property! The staff was friendly and helpful. Great revolving bar 🍸 Salt water indoor to outdoor hot springs (amazing to sit in when it's snowing outside) Nice little fitness center with top of the line equipment, elliptical and treadmill have TV screens. They have a spa area. Rooms are amazing with the top of the line everything from the control panels on the walls to the toilet. I can't say enough good things about this property, you won't want to leave.

Booked this as a married get away for a few days. We have had lunch here and the food was amazing. When we arrived, everyone was so pleasant and helpful. We had a drink then went into the hot spa. How enjoyable...was a first for us. So different than hot tub. Nice and toasty warm sitting outside looking at the sky. What an amazing experience. The room was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was a nice touch.

Beautiful hotel room! Wonderful bathroom & very large shower with very modern numerous shower heads. Very handicapped accessible. Everything was high tech & controlled by an IPad which was unique. The decor was art deco & very lovely. The king-sized bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was served in a lovely dining area & very generous. The valet parking was very efficient & appreciated. Our only complaint was that the elevator & room lighting was on the dark side, and could have been a little brighter. We would highly recommend your hotel & not hesitate to book a room in the future!

My wife and I love this place. Its a bit pricey(for Buffalo), but maybe the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. Hot springs are great in the winter! Splurge for the spa tub in the room, you won't be disappointed.

This is a very pretty hotel in a convenient location but there were a few things that were not the best experience. First off, valet was rude when we accidentally came in the wrong way and tried parking not realizing that wasn't the parking lot for the hotel, he ran out to our car and yelled at us and proceeded to explain where to park, and said "first off, you came in the wrong way, and second the cones are here for a reason and there's limited spots" mind you no one else was around and obviously we weren't from the area. I didn't appreciate his tone. The front desk agent was great at check in, however, the room didn't seem as clean as it could have been. We had 3 guests and needed to use the pull out bed, that why I booked that room. There were no sheets available and upon opening the bed, the mattress pad was stained and a mess. Some of the surfaces in the room had residues/smears and the bathroom had someones used false eyelash. All unfortunate but wasn't the end of the world. But, when checking out, we kindly let front desk know of these things and she just said sorry and if we needed sheets for the pull out bed we needed to request that. I just feel for a 5 star hotel at $400 a night, there needed to be more attention to detail. I did thank the front desk employee for hearing us out, and left it at that, but the lack of response was a bit surprising. The continental breakfast was subpar, nothing special at all. This hotel has some work to do.

This hotel made our anniversary trip so lovely. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a large shower and a nice jetted tub plus a heated bidet! The service was stellar with complimentary champagne on arrival and they allowed early check in since they had a room available. We loved the two bars and had a nice dinner in the Chez Ami retaurant. My favorite part was the hot spring. We spent time winding down in the spring every night! The location is convienient to many restaurants, clubs, and also the Shea theater. We would love to stay again!

It's just a great hotel. Staff is accommodating and friendly. Complimentary breakfast was fantastic. Hotel bars were fun and drinks were reasonably priced. Rooms were well done and comfy. Service all around was top notch. We'll definitely stay again.

Really loved this hotel and I can't wait to come back! The highlight was absolutely the hot spring/outdoor pool area. It is open year round and on this particular day it was snowing outside so it was quite the experience in the Buffalo winter! The hot tub is 104° and they do also have a small covered area incase you didn't want to be exposed to the elements. There's also a nice lounge area with towels and a tv. The room was also fantastic! We stayed in the suite with a jet tub inside and although this was nice, we enjoyed the hot spring area more, so the tub isn't really necessary. Overall the hotel was amazing. It's very elegant inside and had beautiful architecture and light fixtures to make it a really classy vibe. They infused the lobby will a very great scent and it truly felt like you were at a resort! The staff were also fantastic. I'm not sure why people complain but I spoke to the receptionist to check in, the housekeeper to obtain a robe and slippers and then the hostess/waitress for breakfast and everyone was nice and kind! Overall I give this a 5/5 and can't wait to come back! The rooftop lounge was closed for a private event when we visited so I would like to come back to visit the rooftop area.

This hotel was something else and I liked it! From the valet fellas and concierge to the staff that delivered my room service, everyone was super pleasant. Checking in and out was a breeze and I liked how close it was in vicinity to restaurants and places I had plans at during my stay. Another pro is that this is what I would call a "smart hotel." From the drapes to the toilet, everything was high tech and managed by a tablet of some type. Even the shower, which was definitely a major bonus. My room was a nice size, had a good view, and my bed was comfy too! I'll briefly add that the room service I ordered wasn't too bad. I really liked the caesar salad. The rotating bar was pretty sweet. I was only there maybe twenty minutes before heading to a show at Town Ballroom, which was one of the spots that was within walking distance. I didn't get all the way around, but enough to notice, for sure. I wasn't able to visit the rooftop, spa, or extra perks available at the hotel, but I have no doubt that I would come back.

Martinis are hit or miss depending on the bartender. The ambiance is great and always very classy. The rooftop is great in the warmer months.

This place is amazing. We stayed for the night. Room was absolutely fantastic. We had chautteri board at mid afternoon and was delish. We went to rooftop bar and wine and service was excellent. Beautiful views. Then went to hot springs spa which was absolutely amazing. We decided to do dinner and had sea bass and the pork chop dinner. OMG!!!! It was so fantastic. I go by here everyday and wonder why this place isn't crowded. The food is amazing and I am very finicky. This entire place is absolutely beautiful. I can not wait to come back here again for a staycation. The deals are amazing. Please if you have a chance try this place out, you will not be disappointed.

This Curtis Hotel location blew us away. The staff was amazing. My husband and I travel so much and we always end up kind of disappointed when we choose new hotels. This place WAS ANAZING THOUGH! You HAVE TO visit the bar here omg! It rotates! We sat down and about 20 minutes later we were like, "Wait...what?" It does a full rotation each hour. Check out my quick time-lapse video of it! Full bar in the room AND A 2 PERSON BATHTUB! Check out pics for that as well. Of course you will need an upgraded suite but WORTH IT! Get those hotel points people! They pay off! I mean it. Go here! Ok soo it looks like I can't post the awesome time lapse of the bar rotating. Dang.

Nice clean smart hotel. Everything is controlled by a little pad on the nightstand. The shower is to die for. Beds and pillow are comfy. Continental breakfast included (very simple). Hotel staff was attentive and friendly. Rooftop bar was really nice they have a huge fire pit (for those chilly nights) and if you get hungry you can order food. Rotating bar downstairs was pretty cool. My only complaint of this hotel was the rooms were very dark. Decorated nicely but literally dark. I felt like there must have been a switch that I missed.

What a spectacular hotel! It was a pleasure to stay here for an overnight. We had a comedy show at Helium and wanted to try this place out! PROS: easy valet parking to help with the stress of finding parking. Beautiful interior!!! Lighting, the smells, the rooms! All of it was absolutely beautiful. The music was upbeat and contemporary leaving you to tap your foot and dance in the elevator. The rooms were elegant, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms were very spacious, especially the shower itself. All the rooms are smart rooms so there's a lot of automatic stuff that happens from the lighting to the toilets LOL. There is a free complementary continental breakfast in the downstairs bar which includes cereal and muffins. If you want some thing hot do you need to go to the restaurant. We came in December but still checked out the upstairs rooftop bar. It was pretty incredible and can only imagine what it would be like in the summer. Almost forgot to add info about the hot springs!!! OMG BRING YOHR SWIMSUIT! So relaxing and intimate. We will definitely be back to check it out! CONS: no real cons other than perhaps including a decent complimentary breakfast for guests. Bagels, fruit? But doesn't detract from the stay.

My absolute favorite place to stay in BUF. Everything is done first class and I can't find any place nearby that comes close.

What a beautiful hotel! The staff is incredibly kind. The rooms feel refined. The lobby reminds me of the hotels in London... plus the biggest chess peices I've ever seen- over one story high! The price is unbelievable at Christmas time.

After receiving the staycation package as a gift during a challenging time following my mom's passing and my dad's stroke, my fiancée and I hoped for a relaxing break. Unfortunately, it turned out to be anything but. Despite being told about a $200 hold for fees over the phone at booking, we were charged over $500 upon arrival, even though we had a gift card to cover the entire cost. When we raised concerns at check-in, the staff member (young girl with light hair and glasses) was extremely cold in her responses and our complaints were dismissed. She stated the cost would be refunded/released within a day and when we called back 3 days later saying it was still there and expressing dismay the staff member said it was 3-7 days by bank and showed no remorse or accountability for the incorrect information given to us. The room was clean, but dinner at Chez Ami was terrible (separate review left there), and the urban hot springs were so nice beautiful and relaxing but marred by damaging stone that caused rips and pilling on the bottom of our bathing suits. The rooftop bar was closed, adding to our disappointment. The tech-operated room was a plus, but the continental breakfast was lacking. Only a few staff members were pleasant (valet and the staff who brought us wine glasses and ice to our room). Overall, I would not recommend this experience to anyone unless they have a gift card for a free stay. We would frequent the rooftop bar as well but we will also not be returning there.

Such an incredibly kind and thoughtful staff! One of the best hotel experiences we've had!

My stay at the Curtis Hotel was quick but really pleasant. It's a small boutique hotel that really does a lot to make you feel like you're getting an experience. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. I was there for a conference which is a block away from the convention center and was provided water for my long meeting--which was a really nice touch. I also found it convenient that there were so many good options in walking distance. I LOVED the bathroom, there was a smart bidet and a multi-stream shower with a teak bench in it. Only downside, is that the shower caps are not meant for people with a lot of hear so if you can't get your freshly done hair wet bring your own shower cap so you can experience the shower. I also really liked that the room was "smart" meaning I was able to order room service, open the curtains, etc all from an iPad. Due to the fact that my time was limited the only amenity I tried was the food. The free morning buffet was nice, however, I did wish there were more protein options but it got the job done. The spinning bar was a bit of a letdown in my opinion. The staff was definitely more focused on select parties which really resulted in neglect of the rest of us. For example I ordered food and was given the wrong thing, it took so long to get attention that I ended up stuck with the dish. Overall, I would go back for the clean and comfortable bed, amazing shower, and to try the rooftop amenities.

Nice room, clean and comfortable. Great valet service and staff was nice. Downstairs bar was good, upstairs crowd was not our style that evening, more of a night club vibe. Spa was nice, didn't make breakfast. A couple things that drop it from 5 star, no robes/slippers, tissue box was made but empty at arrival. Shower is awesome but high tech and it shut off mid morning shower, came back eventually, but you need a how to manual with it. Would stay here again.

Just returned from our Staycation at the Curtis Hotel. We went with another couple who had already been here a couple of times so figured it had to be good. It definately lived up to my expectations! The hotel itself doesn't look like much from the outside so as they say, don't judge a book by it's cover. The inside is stunning from the lobby, restaurant, revolving bar, hallways, rooftop bar, and the rooms. The rooms are all high tech, including the toilet with functions like a remote control bidet and a heated dryer. Absolutely the best of all though is the shower! It's huge, has multiple shower heads, perfect water pressure, various scents, nice lighting, and a steam shower function. Could have stayed in there for hours. I want one at home! Our stay included dinner at their restaurant Chez Ami and a nice breakfast with great made to order omelets. After dinner we spent some time at the roof top bar but it was too cold to stay outside even with the beautiful fire pit. Definitely on my list of places to return to.

Wannabe top but - if we look at the Olympics where 3/10 of a second may decide upon whether to reach a medal or not - to play in the first league, everything needs flawlessness throughout. The Curtiss has the setup to mingle with the top, but fails on some critical issues - mostly staff-related. The room was nice, a combination of old-fashioned with a top-modern equipment. It almost takes a university degree to fully comprehend the various buttons to arrange the room lighting, the shower, the curtains, the toilet functions... There are remarkable design flaws where one cannot avoid to think: "what a stu... idea?!? Eg having a slope from the bathroom floor to the shower floor with the result that the water collects in front of the toilet; or that the hook for the towels is behind the door!! There is a rooftop bar and a nice restaurant. So all could be wonderful, if there was better attention to the details. Unfortunately, the staff was either inattentive or MIA overall. For checkout, one had to track down someone to help ...

Required by my company to find lodging after being informed of a spontaneous week's business trip to Buffalo, I booked a nice hotel as close to my company location as possible for an October 16, 2023 - October 19, 2023 stay. Unfamiliar with the terrain, one of the reasons I chose the Curtiss was that it advertised a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. No there was no shuttle. I took a cab. When I got to the hotel, I was informed that there was no record of my reservation in their database since I had ordered through Choice. I provided the documentation of my reservation on my cellphone. There was an alarming lack of empathy and concern from the staff. The correct response to this situation is to either upgrade me to a different room or to finance a stay at a competitor. If I am billed for this stay, you will be hearing from my attorney. I do not want free rewards to try to make this right. I would like to see a change in policy. Educate your staff to handle this with the correct procedure when the error is on your hotel.

I pay attention to details. While staying at a 5 star hotel, I expect there to be more than 5 sheets of tissue in a box (there was not even an extra box in the room). In fact, I expect a full, new box of tissues. I also expect the refillable body wash, shampoo & Conditioner bottles in the shower to be full, not only 20% full. I also expect all the shower heads to work. The hand held shower head did not work no matter what I did or what buttons I pushed on the control panel after wasting time out of my life to youtube it and look in the booklet in the room. Continental breakfast was pathetic. There were prewrapped muffins and croissants, granola bars, cereal and milk, yogurt, coffee and juice. No bottles of water, no warm items, just a sad display. The pillows were not comfortable and in fact caused me neck pain. There was no bath robe that I could borrow in the front closet, like there are at other 5 star hotels at which I've stayed. When I went to the bar to get a drink/dinner, I was ignored, and they weren't even busy. I may consider updating this review to add in some positive experiences, but I'll have to really think about what those were.

We attended a friends wedding here and were impressed by how beautiful this hotel was! This review is strictly for our experience as wedding guests- we did not stay at this hotel. We ubered here for the hotel reception and first noticed the valet parking and beautiful fountains out front. The lobby is grand and front desk staff were friendly when we asked them to take a photo. We had a drink in the hotel bar while we waited for the rooftop to open up for the reception. The bartender was busy, but it did take a while to get a drink. I didn't see any drink menus, but ordered a glass of Cabernet. The bartender served it to me in a very dirty glass with visible lipstick on it. I handed it right back to him and he apologized. It took awhile for everyone to get their tabs and the service wasn't great at all. Also, the bar was SO hot. I feel like the whole first floor had no air conditioning or ventilation. It was very uncomfortable. The restaurant looked beautiful and the bar itself was stunning. We took the elevators up to the rooftop which was incredible. The view was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the bartenders and servers were friendly and down to earth. The indoor/outdoor rooftop was perfect for a wedding reception. I would love to go to a brunch or happy hour on this rooftop. Based on the price of the rooms I do not plan to stay here in the future.

I thought the room was a great value for the size and the amenities. The iPad controlling the lighting and the drapes and the Toto toilet were so amusing. The shower was fantastic. Easy walk to restaurants and riverfront.

Stayed here this weekend as part of the Buffalo Staycation package. We were looking forward to this for a while and once the big day finally came, I felt like I was met with disappointment at every turn. For starters, we upgraded our room to a corner suite. The room itself was nice enough, however I really doubt it was fully cleaned before we checked in because we found strawberry stems next to the tub, probably from the previous guest. Not everything in the room worked either. We were told everything could be controlled by the iPad installed next to the bed, but pretty much none of the functions worked including the open and close curtains buttons. I will say the steam shower was exceptional and might have been worth the upgrade cost all by itself. We did make use of the hotel amenities, the hot springs in particular were excellent. Definitely the highlight of the trip. We also went down to the in house restaurant Chez Ami and I was less than thrilled with the meal. I'll leave that review for the restaurant itself. After dinner we made one more stop at the hot springs and back up to the room to call it a night. I am not exaggerating when I say the pillows in this room were the worst I've ever used and made for a very rough night of sleep. The second you laid on them they became completely flat, it was like they weren't there at all. We called down for more pillows to rectify this problem and they brought us one single pillow, probably an hour later. It didn't help, I ended up having to fold the pillows in half to double up - I wish I was kidding. The next morning we went down for the continental breakfast and it was easily the most pathetic continental breakfast I've ever seen. Uncut bagels without a toaster, prewrapped muffins, granola bars, bottles of water. No juice, no coffee, no warm items, just a sad display. I know things are probably tuned down because of covid, but this was laughable. Overall it's a nice venue and the hot springs are great. Pretty much everything else left a lot to be desired. If you've ready booked your room and it's too late to be canceled, my advice is bring your pillows from home.

Decided to indulge in the Staycation package the Curtiss offers as a surprise for a special someone. For $269 plus tax on a Monday night 5/31/2021 we booked a king suite with jacuzzi tub, $99 toward dinner at Chez Ami downstairs (drinks excluded) $40 for dinner toward Buffalo chophouse and complimentary valet parking. I think there was also to go breakfast available but didn't check. Our check in with Josh was seamless and he was able to push back our dinner reservation to give us a little time to get ready. Dinner was fantastic, in large part due to our waitress Less- she was funny and accommodating and was definitely entertaining a busy dinner hour. The rooftop was gorgeous and the king suite was perfect- so many fun features like a bidet, electric drapes, large cozy bed, steam shower, and Bluetooth speaker in the shower (we didn't quite try to figure out how to pair it.) It was a 10/10 fun night and I am really happy with the pricing as well. I would recommend the staycation package for anyone looking for a fun, romantic evening or girls night! Unfortunately I did leave my electric toothbrush behind and there was no luck retrieving it, so this is your reminder to take one last look around your room before heading out!

I found Curtiss Hotel online when I was looking for a place to stay while in town for a wedding. The Curtiss Hotel was very easy to get to and close to the wedding I was attending. From the minute I arrived until I left, every staff I encountered was very pleasant and went above and beyond. This included a Valet who saved a parking spot for me right next to the hotel so I would be safe when I arrived back late from the wedding or the bartender who stayed late so I could enjoy a few minutes at the rooftop bar. I will be staying at this hotel again whether for an event I may have to attend or a relaxing weekend away.

We got the staycation special. We were so excited for it! However upon arriving the staff was less than enthusiastic about anything. I put in a credit card order reservation over the phone. I arrived and forgot my credit card. I had the credit card scan app on my phone and they refused to take it. We even offered the numbers and everything. I had to sit at the front desk and wait for an hour until my husband arrived with the card. Staff was rude, food was okay, drinks and food were way overpriced for what it was. The hot springs were amazing and our room was very clean and comfy. I just wished you had staff members that were kind and actually accommodating to the needs of your guests who are paying a lot of money for a stay during a pandemic. It's free to be kind. Just saying.

Came here on a Friday evening for the Staycation Package. Upon arrival we were greeted and told about the amenities(spa / fitness room, pool, rooftop lounge etc). Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is absolutely beautiful. I love the various shower heads. Complimentary items such as q-tips, cotton balls, makeup wipes, shampoo etc. Coffee, tea & two bottles of water are also provided. There is a mini bar and fridge with snacks, soda and alcoholic beverages. The fees are listed and sensor activated so if you take advantage of that convenience it's just added to your bill. Room service is also available. Check out was easy. Valet service was wonderful especially during the cold weather season. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

We stayed there May 23, 2022 for a quick getaway for our 30th anniversary. The rooms are very pretty, though not exactly my style. Our thermostat was not working so I called the front desk, 3 times. No one came to look at it let alone fix it. The next morning we went to the continental breakfast. The didn't have enough silverware or dishes on hand for the 10 or so people that were there. And, unfortunately there was only one employee and he had to handle bar tending as well. I have much more to say, but suffice it to say The Curtiss is a terrible value at any price let alone over $400 a night! I would not recommend!!!

Decided to take advantage of their staycation package. This package included a one night stay at the Curtis hotel, dinner at the Chez Ami restaurant and breakfast the following morning. We arrived on a Saturday evening, I love the fact that we did not have to look for parking we pulled right up and valet took care of everything. Upon entering this beautiful hotel we were greeted at the check-in counter by a very professional gentleman. He explained everything in detail and even told us about the rooftop bar. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was absolutely beautiful. It included all of the amenities plus more which made for a comfortable stay. Overall very pleased.

(Covid-19 is currently going on) Best bathroom/shower I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Lobby, rooftop bar were lovely. There was a giant hot spring lounge.. basically an enormous hot tub that was also cool... Here is what made it less than perfect...The headboard literally had handprints and scratches all over it... yes... it was not a pleasant sight... sorry. I like to feel like I'm laying down in a brand new virgin bed... this one had stories... that's the best way to put it.. Buffalo was mostly shut down this night... everyone knows why.

I recommend this place. Doesn't look like much on the outside but once you enter the courtyard and your room wow! It's all I can say! Although nothing compares to the exquisite beauty of the hotel, I have to say, the thing that would bring me back here is the staff. Everyone made me and my partner feel at home. I'm from Chicago and being here on business I thought I wouldn't have fun. I thought I'd be just focusing on work and soon found myself in the bar lounge chatting with Sean. He is friendly and attentive and informative. He recommended things to do, where we can find good eats and above all he was like a friend I hadn't seen in years. If you're ever visiting, find him! Not to mention, he has the cutest smile. Definitely plan on coming back to visit my new friend form the Curtiss Hotel. You guys have a gem in him and in your staff.

It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. This is hands down the best hotel in the Buffalo area. From the signature scent as you walk through the front doors to the beautifully decorated rooms, there is so much attention to detail given.

just terrible, worst experience of my life. so many lies were told. worst front desk workers i have ever experience. please save ur money and choose somewhere else, they wont respect you even with how much you spend at there hotel. tried calling management a week ago, was told they typically call back within 24hr max. its been a week no call. just wanted to confront them on these lies and how terrible my family and i were treated. thanks a lot curtis, for wasting time and money.

I took my fiance here for his birthday and got us the staycation package. If you're considering doing it, you should! Though we were in Buffalo, we really did feel like we were on vacation for the night. We went in winter and especially enjoyed using the hot springs (basically an extra large jacuzzi). All the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly, they even opened the hot springs for us when we wanted to go in extra early. We also had a great dinner and really enjoyed the breakfast the next day too (both included in the package). We really enjoyed our stay here and would likely book the same package again.

My husband and I stayed at the Curtiss Hotel while visiting Buffalo for an evening in January. After a long 4 hour drive north, we were looking forward to resting in our room. The hotel is a modern boutique hotel that we found on Hotels Tonight, and we were enticed by how affordable the room cost was. If Curtiss was in Manhattan it would have been upwards of $500 a night. We were thoroughly impressed by the bathroom amenities, but the hotel's cleaning staff and maintenance could benefit from being more detailed... the shutters dividing the bathroom from the living space were both dusty, and broken, as well as the curtains, and all surfaces in our room all had a layer of dust on them. You could tell the room hasn't been used or cleaned recently. Had these small issues been addressed prior to arrival, we would've had no complaints about our room. The jetted tub in the bathroom was large enough to fit two. We loved the spacious, temperature controlled shower, and toilet with bidet and seat warmer. The entire room was smart controlled from a touch pad, which was an interesting feature. Lastly, because of COVID restrictions many restaurants were closed by the time we checked in, so we were forced to order room service from Chez Ami as the dining room was closed and there were no other options. Being foodies we ordered more than a few items off of the menu; Caesar salad, large charcuterie board, pepperoni pizza, filet mignon with mash and veggies, a pasta dish with their bolognese, and lastly a fruited cheesecake... The only noteworthy entrée was the filet, the demi glasse what is a nice complement to the meat, otherwise we would have been better off saving our money and ordering something inexpensive from Uber eats. It's possible that our entrées were subpar in presentation and taste because the kitchen was closing soon, but this is no excuse to compromise excellence. For the value, if these issues could be addressed, we would definitely visit Curtiss again.

Found a good deal online and stayed here for a Staycation with my wife. We loved the experience! This hotel is super modern and chic. If you get a good price, it's definitely worth it! There are high tech options, such as controlling the window curtains with a computer, the lighting...and the shower, oh the shower. The most comfortable and intense shower ever experienced. The toilets also have a bidet and the "hot springs," which are basically a large hot tub that go partially outside are very neat additions to the hotel. The complimentary breakfast is nice as well, they do a great job with it. The bed is comfortable and the TVs are able to login to Netflix (although you need your own account to do so). All in all; this should definitely be a consideration for a hotel if you're staying in the area. If you're here on the weekends and looking to save a few bucks, skip the paid valet parking and just find a free meter within a block or two and leave your car there. Free parking after 5pm on weekdays and weekends are free.

I booked my stay through Hotwire. The hotel double charged me. When I call, I was told it was my fault because I used a third party app. The assistant said that 25% of their customers use a third party app. The assistant also said if they don't receive payment from the third part by the time you check out they charge the customer's credit card again. This hotel seems quite willing to double charge customers who use a third party app. I'm sure a number of people never know what they are up to!

What a beautiful rooftop for the summer nights in Buffalo! It's definitely fancy! This is a great spot for date night. I saw a lot of couples, and also groups of people that came in together. However, the crowds didn't seem to mingle much outside of their own... The rooftop had a gas fireplace outside, and lots of chairs surrounded the fireplace. I didn't order a drink, so I'm unsure about prices. Overall, it is a beautiful rooftop bar and I would come here again!

Romantic weekend getaway to see the falls.... Only problem was not wanting to leave the hotel. Love the attention to design and detail, high end amenities throughout. We had the most relaxing and soothing lavender steam shower, followed later that night with a cozy and invigorating lavender soaker tub. Later energized by the Urban Hot Springs where you swim and bask in warm water, comforted from the chilly air, while stargazing. The full moon was a bonus! The staff was exceptionally cheerful and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed for 4 nights and was very happy with my room. Loved the jacuzzi tub, room amenities, and the warm water pool was great too. Hotel location was fantastic for the conference I attended and walkable places to eat and hang out. Valet parking guys were very helpful. The continental breakfast was basic, but fine. I'd be very glad to stay here again.

I stayed here recently for two nights. What a true gem. The service was excellent, the rooms were modern and the multi shower head and steam washroom was fantastic. The breakfast spread was fantastic and the bars at night are fun. Also there is free valet parking. Don't trust all those low ratings and give this place a try.

Definitely recommend for their staycation package! You get money towards their restaurant, and for the chophouse! Their room was excellent, and their bathroom/shower made me never want to leave! Large flat screen TVs, large king size bed with plenty of pillows and comfortable blankets. Fridge in your room, and everything worked from the tablet next to the bed. Curtains, lights, and you can call valet- which is also included in the package to have your car ready for you by the time you walk out to leave. They have a large hot springs pool as well. I did not go to that though unfortunately. I will when I go back for sure. Their bar downstairs rotates! Very slowly, so don't worry, no motion sickness! I would have gotten it . Very hard working and friendly bartender. We enjoyed our time here.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. It was a nice "stay-cation" away from home. The decor had a very European vibe to it (Mediterranean/Italian) and the check in staff / valet were very friendly. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the hotel and everything in the room was kept very nice and clean. Plenty of towels and amenities in the room. The shower was amazing! Hose spray from the sides, removable shower head, regular shower head and overhead shower head - with a seat! Everything was controlled by a remote system on the side of the wall *My one note of this was even thought the shower floor was raised so water couldn't leak out, depending how many shower heads were on, it could get the floor outside wet pretty quickly. The restruant was very small (did not try the "revolving bar") but the staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. Definitely worth a try. We checked out the roof top bar and were impressed by the feel of it. 2 bars located on either side of the roof with an open firepit in the middle to set the mood and make you feel relaxed. *The view could have been better, but hey, it's Buffalo. Our breakfast in the morning was very nice and simple offering cereal, yogurt, an omelette station, eggs, sausage, bagels and pastries, with coffee/juice/tea/water station. My only real complaint was in our room. We tried adjusting the A/C but it never really turned on, even when the fan was on High, the AC button on and set to the coolest temp. We told the front desk about it and they said "we have an issue with the AC going from winter to summer" Also, there are no ice machines on the floor. You need to call down to the front desk to ask for ask. A bit odd, but not really complaint worthy. Overall, my stay was very nice and I would do it again if I wanted to get away even for a night to treat myself or make it a romantic date night

Here for a special event on the rooftop bar. Loved the decor of the entire building, and prompt service. Coat check was a nice touch too. My only complaint was that the roof was leaking. It was snowing outside, and many people were getting dripped on while inside. Other than that, everything else was good.

What fun it was to discover Curtiss Hotel and the revolving bar in the lobby. Being somewhat naive about downtown Buffalo establishment's, we were not prepared for this. Hubby wanted a drink after the Auto Show and this was just up the street from the convention center. We met our bartender Max and admired his bowtie. He took good care of us, bringing us drinks promptly and then the amazing charcuterie board with several meats and cheeses served with crunchy fresh bread and a wonderful seeded mustard and a sweet apple butter. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we didn't notice how the whole bar was moving until we realized we couldn't see the televisions as well anymore.

Truly a gem downtown. It's like traveling to NYC in seconds! As you walk up to this place you're well aware you're in downtown Buffalo. The exterior is everyday. As soon as you walk through the door you think you've transported to NYC. The interior is 5-star for sure! They have a beautiful rotating bar. When you sit down you are aware you're moving until you've been there a while and you suddenly realize you were facing the windows when you sat down and now you're facing the booths! The decor is gorgeous. Check out the picture of the chandelier; beautiful! The drinks are good and there's a rooftop bar, as well. The views of Buffalo are superb. I haven't stayed here, yet, but friends have and the loved it. Definitely on my list of places to stay. I've been here twice just for the bars.

I can only comment on the main bar at the Curtis Hotel....although I will return to stay at this beautiful hotel! The bar is very cool as it rotates The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable Anxious for summer, to check out the roof top bar Absolutely lovely!

Recently attended a wedding at the Curtis. If you like cold food & watered down drinks - this is the place. Elevator was beyond slow. Bartenders were not friendly. Stay away...,

Absolutely a gem! Such a beauty of a building, lovingly restored. The downstairs with the lobby is very art deco with amazing decor throughout. The restaurant and bar are located on the same floor. The bar is round and rotates some nights. The restaurant Chez Ami has a nice covered patio that was just perfect. We did opt for the "Staycation" which included dinner and a gift card to Buffalo Chop house for a later date. Check in went well and our room was fantastic. Not a great view but it didn't matter. The room was decorated with antique furniture and a lovely bookcase. The best part was the giant bathroom with full shower, three jets, a rain head and a detachable wand. Big enough for 2 and had a bench. Electric drapes were also included. The rooftop bar is big and has a gorgeous view of the city. There were a number of bars around to handle quite a few guests. The firepit was a great feature. We didn't partake in the spa but that also looked very nice. We will be back!

This review is only to comment on customer service and ownership professionalism. If there was a 0/5, I would have chosen it. They do not take negative or bad reviews very well like normal companies/restaurants/bars/hotels do with handling customer service. It's scary! They lash out on social media calling people trolls or clowns. What kind of professionalism is that?! I have never heard of an owner or a PR person acting out like a child before. This is supposed to be an upscale establishment in Buffalo but is brought down by childish rage.

Positives: 1. Front Desk was efficient and helpful on checking in. 2. Bar Staff below amazing. 3. Room size was amazing. 4. Bar Staff up top very pleasant and easy to get drinks from. 5. Valet was super helpful as well. Negatives. 1. Rooftop Bar: Waitress or BAR only? Was not made clear? 2. Rooftop was disgusting (bandaids, limes, & ants) fire your cleaning crew for not cleaning at all the rooftop outside area. 3. Bartender up top left, didn't transfer tab, and had leave her coworkers guessing what tab we were referring to each time. 4 No heads up at all about marathon at 6:00am and loud bang at 6:30am? 5. Then Fireworks at 9:00pm, nobody said anything? You would think 4 & 5 with a lot of unexpected things happening in the world they would give you a heads up? 6. Bed super uncomfortable.

Loved the Vue roof top lounge! I attend their Planet Party with Absolute Vodka! It was a free event on 1/24. They had 7 dollar drink specials and free chef's choice hors d'oeuvres. Absolute Vodka gave a way free reusable bags, pins, and reusable straws after you committed to doing at least 1 thing to reduce waste in our environment. They also had a selfie station that was cool to take pictures in front of for them cause. My sorority SISters's birthday was the same day and two of my girlfriends also celebrated their birthdays around the same time. They let us bring in a cake to surprise and sing happy birthday to the 3 of them. The waitress helped us with the surprise so it was extra special.
