Pho Golden Star

Nov 2025: Ordered the P4. Pho tái nam, S4. Bún riêu cua, and the Thai milk tea. Note that the overall reviews and rating of this restaurant may be impacted by a promotion they run where they give you a free mini dessert if you write a 5 star review. P4 Pho special was okay in my opinion. The broth was disappointing because it was sweet and not spiced. Lime was required to balance out the sweetness. The brisket was tasty – raw beef and tripe were okay. The S4 broth had quite a strong shrimp paste and fish sauce flavour. The tofu and blood pudding were tasty. Would recommend if you're a fan of all the above flavours. The Thai milk tea was too sweet for us – in hindsight we should have asked for half sweet, but it didn't occur to us since we hadn't had one this sweet before, but otherwise it tasted good. Staff were nice and attentive. They also served warm tea which was great on a cold day.

Excellent Vietnamese restaurant! I had the traditional pho soup and the pork belly/shrimp spring rolls, both did not disappoint! The ambience is great and I had a fantastic, kind and attentive server! Worth going off the beaten path!

I’ve been coming to this Vietnamese restaurant for dinner regularly, and it has never disappointed. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is always friendly, and the service is fast even when the place is busy. I usually order the pho, and it’s consistently excellent — rich broth, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. The flavor reminds me of authentic street food in Vietnam. Prices are fair for the quality, and you always leave full and satisfied. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving real Vietnamese food. Definitely my go-to spot!

I & my bf came here for lunch earlier today. We ordered Bún Riêu Cua & Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm, both dishes were absolutely delicious and authentic! The broth was flavorful, everything was fresh, and the portions were generous. Special thanks to Nhung, our server. She was so sweet and kind, which made the experience even better. The kitchen was also super fast, and our food came out quickly. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving Vietnamese food! I’ll definitely come back next time 💖 bonus point the playlist they played was awesome!

The food here is authentic, friendly service. I love Bun dau mam tom the most. The dipping sauce paired with Xoi cua is a little bit too sweet. The waiting time for food to arrive on your table is quite long, and the restaurant is a bit too cold. Should try!

You can tell from the pictures how tasty the food is. Top spring roll in toronto with high value, fresh and filled pork and shrimp. Crispy fried Chicken, would not feel heavy and oily, with strong good favour. Pho with special soup is unique and couldn’t find it in other Vietnamese restaurants, it comes with fish cake, crab meat, and black sausage, truly recommended

The beef was tender, and every bite tasted authentically Vietnamese. The Sticky Rice Crab 🦀 was the unexpected highlight. The sticky rice was perfectly cooked—soft, chewy, and full of flavor—while the crab added a sweet, savory richness that made the dish unforgettable. It’s the kind of specialty you don’t find often, and Golden Star executes it beautifully. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Altogether, Golden Star delivered a memorable dining experience. If you’re craving authentic Vietnamese dishes—especially Bún Bò Huế or something unique like Sticky Rice Crab—this place is absolutely worth a visit.

I recently visited , Pho Golden Star on St. Clair for an early dinner with a few friends, and it was such a wonderful experience. The restaurant itself is simple, but the food is full of flavour and really stands out. We ordered the seafood fried rice, which was served inside a fresh pineapple, along with a few other dishes—and everything tasted absolutely delicious. It is an authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The service made the evening even better. Our server was so attentive, making sure our tea was always topped up and checking in on us with a smile. It felt warm and welcoming from start to finish. Another big plus was the convenience of the parking lot behind the restaurant, since parking directly on St. Clair isn’t available. This place has the perfect combination of tasty food, friendly service, and convenience. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spot with both flavour and heart.
