I visited Rector’s Palace in Dubrovnik mainly because I’m a big Game of Thrones fan — some scenes were filmed here, which made it extra exciting. The palace itself is incredible, with a beautiful mix of Gothic and Renaissance architecture, elegant arches, grand halls, and intricate details that tell the story of Dubrovnik’s rich history.
The museum inside provides insight into the city’s past, displaying artifacts, portraits, and period furniture. Depending on your interest, it can be covered in about an hour or less. It’s best to visit with the Dubrovnik Day Pass, as the entrance is included — that way you save paying extra and can combine it with other sites.
Highly recommend it for history buffs, architecture lovers, and Game of Thrones fans alike.
