Really enjoyed our stay- and the upgrade to a ground level Garden View was a nice way to start! Had my two teenage daughters with me and we had a very nice stay. We will be returning again. Only complaint with the amenities would have to be the “fitness room“. It was terrible and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. There was sand all over the floor, and hardly any equipment. The dumbbell weights were all over the place and there didn’t seem to be full set of them. My daughters wanted to use it But after I checked it out ahead of time I didn’t want them to because of the condition it was in. Other than that we had a great stay and were nicely surprised and very impressed by the place. I understand that some renovations are going to be done soon. The bathroom shower definitely could use one, the tile was cracked and shampoo dispenser broken. Plan to go back in the future. But I have a feeling one of the reasons it was so enjoyable it was because it was a slow week, The weekdays after the Fourth of July weekend, and not too many people were there! The restaurant and beach employees inside and out were excellent, They were friendly and helpful. Summer greeted us on the beach our first day and she could not have been more helpful and pleasant.

The rooms at this hotel do not look like they do on the website. None of the decor shown on the website is in any of the rooms. The rooms have all been painted white and the dressers and doors are old and cracked. However, the Lobby, the pool area and the service at this hotel are all awesome and beautiful. The waitresses at the pool were awesome and attentive! We loved the little Ice Cream remote truck they brought around. The view of the beach from the bar is wonderful! They had music all weekend and it was fun! Due to the room itself not being as advertised, I was provided a small refund for one night of resort fees. I would stay here again.

A fantastic, affordable and fun resort for families looking to sit on one of Florida's prettiest beaches. The surf vibe is carried throughout the property and sets a party atmosphere for guests. Breakfast on the property was solid and the staff were all warm and helpful. Parking was easy on property as well. Rooms are nice but not fancy. The beds are comfortable as well. The main pool is a zoo but the kids loved it. The beach is more the crown jewel but just go early and lock in a chair or two with the beach attendants. Overall, a great value and well worth the trip if you have a young family.

This is a disgusting motel with a high hotel price and a resort fee added on after the fact. I have never stayed in place with such poor value. The place is poorly maintained down to the smallest details. There is mold in the bathroom, peeling paint, beat up furniture, uncomfortable beds with tiny pillows, and the smallest mini fridge I’ve ever seen in a place I’ve stayed. There are no actual waterfront rooms; the nicest rooms open into a courtyard with a seating area that would be nice at night if it were actually lit up, but the string lights are mostly broken. The resort fee is simply just an additional fee. You don’t actually get anything for it. They charge you to use the umbrellas and Cabanas on the beach, and the price for these (about $100) is more than double what is charged at Treasure Island beach just down the road. Even the outdoor shower to rinse off sand has low pressure and doesn’t work well. The pool is nothing special. The Snack Shack food was expensive, not good, and they brought my husband a warm beer. They did have a ping pong table (with very worn paddles) and a pool table which we did enjoy. It is in a good location and walkable. I’m told there will be renovations in August, but that will not change how poor of a value this place is, so I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

Pros: right on the beach, beautiful pool and lobby. We had great experience with all of the staff: front desk, beach bar, and serving staff. Kept going back to the beach bar as our bartender was amazing (didn’t catch his name, he’s advertised on the TVs.) HIGHLY recommend signing up for the free rewards programs as there are some great perks. We arrived early and the staff was able to accommodate. We had an issue with our door locking, and the maintenance staff was there asap. Room, pool, pool towel vending, parking lot all operated with electronic wristband which was really convenient. The breakfast and coffee bar (at cost) were cost effective and delicious. Cons: Initially not aware of the security deposit/other check in fees when arriving as we paid in full in advance. This could be an error on my end I do not recall seeing this on our receipt/invoice. The rooms are what the score reflects, 3 stars. It worked ok for us as we are in our 20’s, all of the fixtures and furnishings are chipping/outdated not like the website photos show. We upgraded to the garden level near the pool, not sure if there were better rooms available such as the pictures. Something of note, there is a DJ on some days, and the music is slightly loud until 11pm and quite a few party goers. I’m not too sure I would opt to take kids. Overall it was a nice experience on vacation, would most likely stay again as it’s a great budget friendly option with great amenities.

We stayed as a family of four for three nights. Sadly I didn't get any pictures to accompany the review. The room we stayed in was well sized and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on! My wife and kids both also mentioned how comfortable it was. The bathroom was clean and the shower very powerful. We had fresh linen and bottled water delivered daily although I would hope so as the 'resort fee' was, as usual, good for next to nothing - the US hospitality industry really needs to sort out the issue of resort fees but that's a whole other story and not just this hotel. Be prepared for it - it's $50 per night. There is plenty of parking available on site to both sides of the hotel as well as out front. The location is pretty good in the fact it sits on the beach. Sadly it rained pretty much the whole time we were there which meant we were unable to use it. Tampa airport is about a 45 minute drive and we visited Busch Gardens which was about an hour and 15 minutes. The acid test is would I stay here again? And yes I would. However, I would look around a little more for girls with no resort fee before committing to that statement 100%!

Location was great. The gentleman who checked us in was great! Super friendly and informative. However not enough staff working the front desk and that caused a long delay in getting checked in. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Room could use some updating. Fixtures were older, there was some base molding around the floor and tub that had rotted and needs replaced, and an electrical outlet that wouldn’t even hold a plug. They state that there are refrigerators in the room, and there were, but it only held a few bottles of water. If you are planning a getaway with a group of adults looking to have a good time this might be your go to. If you are planning a family vacation there are other resorts in the area better suited. It is pet friendly and there was a dog in a room close to ours that loved to bark, a lot! Service and drinks at the bar by the pool was poor and expensive. Pool was good sized and accommodated a lot of people. However the “no cooler in the pool area” policy was enforced here and there. There was also some marijuana smoking going on around the pool area. We travel to St Pete Beach at least once a year and this was our first stay at this resort and quite possibly the last. We chose this resort because it appeared to be a great value and we will be back to St Pete Beach in December so we needed to save a little money on this trip.

Unfortunately our stay wasn't what we expected. The atmosphere was fun, the pool was nice, located on the beach and there were plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The rooms ruin this place. The good part - atmosphere! We enjoyed the pool area the chairs are decent and have umbrellas. They provide poolside food/drink service at least on the weekends which was nice but the service wasn't great and was expensive for what we got. With your stay you get 2 chairs on the beach which is nice. You do have to pay extra for an umbrella/canopy on the beach. The coffee shop in the lobby was great, I really enjoyed my iced coffee and walk on the beach in the mornings. The courtyard area is nice. If you are looking for a party scene, this is it especially on the weekends! Wouldn't recommend this hotel for family vacation or for young children. The bad part - the rooms!! The rooms aren't accurately pictured online. Our room was dirty and the furniture was beat up pretty bad. Floors are in rough shape and dirty, we kept our shoes on the whole time in the rooms. The bedding is uncomfortable, sheets had holes in them. Room smelled musty. We spent as little time as possible in the room. Imagine the cheapest room you could find for college spring break, this was it but without the price to match. If anything I would recommend a day pass to use their amenities and stay somewhere else nearby. We unfortunately won't be staying here again.

Postcard hotel, and Siegelman Arizona . The cute little hotel with rooms are different patterns from Disney. It's an old hotel , rooms need to be updated . Rooms are old . rugs need to be updated or taken out rooms can be more cleaner. The toilet didn't work. We had to get maintenance . Ended up gettinganother room here. Room was a little bit better, but the beds were hard. The place is cute, but they really really need to have the whole hotel updated. It's very old walls. Need to be painted bathrooms. Need to be updated floors need to be updated. Needs to be updated. Couldn't sit outside of your doors without a lot of flies.. We had a OK time there but it was just OK. It's cute, but I really do hope that the owners can update all the rooms plumbing needs to be updated. I just give the place.a 6 rating .

If you want the loudest just annoying stay off your life, stay here! They let people just blast their own Bluetooth speakers at the pool along with playing their own music over speakers all day. Not to mention the rooms are just loud. Staff seems checked out regarding making this place any better. Charging a resort fee for this experience is beyond comical.

When a friend gets married in downtown Tampa and you want an extra night with your husband on the beach, you pick a beach hotel. At the request of my best friend, she mentioned Postcard would be my vibe - so after seeing their impressive website, I booked a room. Let's just say, it was much more than what meets the eye. The hotel itself is OLD and half remodeled to be like a GenZ haven, with bright modern touches, huge outdoor play area with outdoor games, pool, space for outdoor DJ, spacious interior bar/restaurant and trendy wristbands as room keys. My husband and I checked into our room and were surprised to find how dirty it was. I'm talking dust everywhere; chipped fixtures and a bathroom baseboard made me cringe. I figured it was due to old age, but bahhhhhhhh it screamed grungy. SO, my husband and I hit the outdoor beach bar, which was located right on the water! It was typical rustic chic, filled with fun people ready for a good time and the service was great. In fact, the service throughout the entire facility was great - very helpful and kind. No complaints there. Pricing was decent for St, Pete Beach - considering we stayed there on a Thursday night, as the other surrounding resorts were priced way above Postcard. Would I stay here again? EH. Wouldn't be my first choice, but glad we got to experience a little slice of St. Pete Beach!

It just keeps getting better!!!! We can't say enough great things about PCI! The beds are comfy, the food & drinks are delicious, the sunsets are beautiful and the customer service is outstanding! From the moment we checked in until we departed, we were treated like family! We arrived later in the evening and were greeted with fresh chocolate chip cookies! The "Tinsel Town" experience was so festive and fun and definitely put you in the mood for Christmas! The lobby was warm and inviting and decorated beautifully. They even had a larger curling type game set up near the front desk. Once we got checked in, we headed to the bar to try one of their new holiday cocktails! Their menu was filled with themed snacks and delicious drinks like the Polar Express and the Mistletoe Mule. The atmosphere in the courtyard and the tiki bar is one of fun and friendship! The layout makes it easy to start up a conversation with your "neighbor" and encourages a sense of unity! There is so much to do at the hotel, but if you choose to venture out, there is a lot to see and do within walking distance. If you want to go a little further, Postcard Inn offers complimentary bicycles. Our entire experience was fantastic, but it was made even better by the wonderful customer service! Diego immediately recognized us from our prior visits and made sure we had everything we might need for our stay. Once we got checked in, Peter stopped by the room to help me finish inflating my paddleboard. Dave was fantastic at the pool and served up delicious sundaes and listened to my crazy ideas... lol. Finally, Solomon consistently goes out of his way to make sure every customer feels like an old friend! He is by far THE BEST BARTENDER on the beach... if not in the whole country! This was our 5th visit to the Postcard Inn on the Beach and we already can't wait to go back!

Great staff , limited english, pool area wonderful, bar accesses wonderful, beach beautiful, a lot of volleyball players...great location as to restraunt other needs Drawbacks, you better love a lot of cut thru pedestrians, and thumping base beats ...a lot of young adults...suppose to be the young poles center after we booked and arrived... weekends is the worst/best.... Seems to also be used as a wedding venue a lot We love st Pete beach, pool is a keeper, a lot of sound carrying from other rooms thru walls and ceiling...beach access wonderful...but not a quiet sedate enviroment...also concerned as to use of round up on the gardens and Astro turf area, dogs and children, and pool stuff laying on these areas....,

Not worth the money. First off the resort fails to tell you they are basically running a daytime pool party club open to the public all day. We arrived early hoping to snag a spot in the pool but it was packed full of guests who weren't necessarily staying at the hotel but who had purchased a day pass. Luckily it was just my husband and I as it was not kid friendly at all. The drinking atmosphere led to rowdy guests throughout the night. We even witnessed the cops coming and arresting one of the patrons after him making several threats that he was coming back to shoot up the place. As for the room and grounds, they definitely need updating. Bed linens were torn. Walls and ceiling in poor shape. No towel holder in the bathroom. A hallway was literally sheets of plywood. The only saving grace was the location. Not worth the $200+ we spent for one night and definitely will not return.

I'm here for Super Bowl weekend with 2 other couples who are also staying at Postcard, the pictures are the website are not what we got. Our room looks completely outdated that is doesn't even look clean, even the paint on the walls, scratched furniture, loose shower valve, no vent, bathtub is awful, mirrors suck, not enough outlets, no pictures on the walls (which is advertised). That deluxe king room is not worth the money that we paid at all. The couple we are with has fruit flies all over their room along with ac not wPictures are completely deceiving online, it's shameful. We are very unhappy & will not recommend this hotel to anyone & we are regulars to St Pete. The staff is great along with bar & garden but that's the only good thing.

Everything could improve. The don beachcomber is right next door. It's definitely a much better experience the the post card inn. The post card inn is cashless and overpriced.

Where do I even begin? First, the staff here are all amazing. I was here for 5 nights, 6 full days because the staff was able to get me in a room at 1 pm and let me hinge out by the pool until my evening flight. I was staying here alone and the staff quickly made sure I was comfortable and having fun. I got a microwave and a fan in my room. Yes the rooms are going to get warm, you're in Florida and probably going in and out all day because your room is only a few hundred feet from the beach! The rooms could definitely use a little love, but they're working on renovations now. Sheets were pilling a bit, there were some little things in the room that needed to be fixed or painted. But it was still cute and the perfect little place to sleep and get ready. The resort fee could probably be figured into price so people avoid some sticker shock, I probably would have spent more at the bar if the resort fee was included and already paid for. But those are the only issues I had. I can't stop telling everyone how much fun PCI is. The bartenders are all awesome, Larry, Charlie, Solomon, Dave, the girls serving on the beach at the pool were so fun and sweet, Summer was awesome! Kenesha and the guys at the front desk were so helpful. Housekeeping works so hard here, and in the heat! This is a great place to go with a group to have fun or to travel alone because you will meet people. There's plenty to eat and drink near by, Jimmy B's next door, liquor store, 7eleven, little restaurants and bars near by. This place is truly amazing. I appreciate everyone at PCI making sure I had a good time. I will definitely be back!!!

Motel 6 on the beach!!!! Very old rooms bathroom needed complete remodel think twice before you spend your money here

Got a VIP beach cabana from 11-5pm paid around $340 ... it was essentially 2 benches with a cushion and no sheets / blankets over it. they hung just TWO curtains around the structure even tho the cabana has FOUR sides ... Not provided with water or towels like the website promises. after entering a restricted area we found folded stained towels .... After about an hour and 15 minutes after ordering food and drinks we were served and severely disappointed. The drinks were melted and tasted like sour mix and the food was falling apart and tasted dry and flavorless. Absolutely such a waste of money... pls do not come here.

Customer service was great. Steve the manager was amazing! The room was a nice size and clean. Location is ideal. It's not fair for me to give a bad review but this hotel has a clientele of young adults ( 20-30 year old adults). The music on Saturday was a DJ playing all TECHNO until midnight. This is not our cup of tea and it does not reflect badly on the hotel itself. As we are in our 50s, we prefer a hotel a little more quiet... but that is what we prefer and does not warrant a bad review.

We didn't stay here but had a drink in the bar with friends. Solomon is AMAZING. My husband dropped his debit card and Solomon actually came to the restaurant we were having dinner at across the street to give it to him. Above and beyond - very much appreciated.

I booked 3 different rooms. Spent over 800$ to have a room with No AC, which they gave us a floor fan in the middle of summer in Florida. I complained and I was not asking for a full refund but at least half and they denied it. I typically never right bad reviews but this is unacceptable having NO A/C on a room that I paid over 500$ . So please be aware of this before you book.

If I could give this place a 10/5 stars, I totally would! I have lived in Florida for 6 years now, and some of my favorite days in this state have been at this place. I chose the word ~days~ specifically because this is not just a place to grab a drink or two; be prepared to enter a time warp when 1 hour easily turns into 7 or 8. Time flies with the countless activities that make up this special place, including drinking tropical cocktails whipped up quickly by the servers, eating seafood, playing volleyball, riding the waves, and dancing your heart out to the DJ. If you are a girl wearing a tiny bikini, you will probably not have to pay for a single drink. Life is awesome!

Went off season mid-october for my 30th birthday and was extremely disappointed to say the least. With the room being over $330/night, this was the furthest thing from a resort. What they advertise the rooms to be online is not what you will get. Moldy bathtub, cracked tiles, just dirty in general. Wake up each morning to find puke along the walkways. If you happen to get lucky enough to get an adjoining room, the doors in between might as well not even be there since you can hear everything the people in the next room are saying. The location was great and the beach was beautiful. The only saving grace for our vacation. I would say don't go to this mo(ld)tel and try the place next door. Same amenities for cheaper price and cleaner rooms.

Absolute RIP OFF !! Booked the room online then arrived only to be told i was being charged an additional $200. Only parking for one vehicle. Court yard flooded ankle deep all weekend. Half the hotel under construction and workers there banging away all weekend. Room was SHIT. Stained linens and towels. Furniture in room looked like something you would find at a goodwill. No complimentary coffee or breakfast. Paid $16 for 2 coffees and 1 beagle. No microwave or coffee maker in room. Tiny bathroom. Paint all over the bathroom walls and floor of room. 1 collapsible chair in room so no additional seating unless you want to sit on the bed Tiki hut leaks. Was told we would receive complimentary beach chairs with our stay however if you wanted an umbrella with it that was an extra $50. Doors are rusted out throughout the hotel. you can hear everything through the walls. Ceiling leaked. Ask if I could get a wrist band for my daughter who came to spend the day with us and was told I had to pay an additional fee for additional guest. After explaining she was just coming for the day and not staying in the room they still said I had to book another guest online to get the wrist band for her to join us. This place is trash to say the least and way over priced ! They get you with hidden fees so beware!

Well Postcard Inn, I loved you 5 years ago but you have let yourself go. Evidently, you are going through a mid life crisis. The floors in the bathroom are coming apart from water damage and mold growing on your walls. The party scene has taken over and rehab may be in your future. Farewell friend, this will be our last gathering.

My volleyball group chooses this beachfront motel for special ocassions as it has volleyball courts, a courtside bar, live music, a pool and sits on one of the nicest beaches in the world with amazing sunsets. That being said it is a 1950's hotel with a face lift, very bare rooms overpriced for what is provided, and not what I would call clean. Not that long ago rooms at this hotel rented for 1/6 the rate we paid, but to be fair rates in the area have risen. Bar food is available. Service *** Atmosphere Bar **** Cleanliness ** Value **

No hot water -look on other reviews going months back -no hot water and heat does not work. Bathrooms dumpy -they should tell guests before booking there is no hot water. As I was checking out they checked new guest in with no mention of no hot water in showers

They call this a retro hotel, This is a hotel that has leaky faucets and no heat. We shivered all night on a cold night at St Petersburg beach. We were freezing in our room and kept wondering why the room wasn't heating up. Since we weren't in the room till 11pm we were unaware that the heat wasn't on until we awoke shivering. When I went to the front desk the clerk told me there was no heat. He didn't offer an extra blanket or heater. So we checked out. I wouldn't stay there again. I was informed. when I called the next day , that the heat is a central unit for the building and only came on when it was very cold. That is unacceptable! It wasn't as pictured in the ad. I was very disappointed.

I can't fault the hotel For one less star. It was cold and not very busy, so I am not sure if they were busy if I would have had the same experience. I think we would have. The staff were great, the location was great. It was a great trip! Why it's only a two and a half star hotel is beyond me!!

We stayed here in early January, as far from peak season as possible. The Bad (pictures attached): We were offered to upgrade to a better view and updated room for $30 when we arrived. We agreed, but our room was DEFINITELY not updated, nor was it clean or even quiet. There were pubic hairs all over the bathtub, the water knobs were falling off the wall and poorly installed, there was some type of brown mold or dirt on the outside bathtub, the bathroom floor had water damage, layer of dust on a few small things, and the AC vent was so loud, we didn't get much sleep. Literally everything in the room was beat up and looked like it was used in a college dorm room for 10 years. The only thing that looked partially updated was the bathroom sink. We were only staying one night, so we decided to mention it when we left but didn't think it was worth it to ask for another room or refund etc. But we felt taken advantage of. The next morning (around 6am), we asked for a late checkout since our flight didn't leave until 6pm. Checkout is typically 11am. I figured it would be a 'no issue' even if we didn't get to stay as long as we needed. As I was walking up, I heard an employee say to the manager that they were 40% full. Less than half capacity, and probably less by then because nearly all the rooms surrounding ours were vacant. The manager, Steven, wanted to charge me $100 to stay until 3pm. So I asked about 2pm, he said $75. So I then asked what is the latest we could checkout for free. He said 11:30am. That's when I said we would never be staying here again. If they had rooms booked up full, I could understand. But we would not have been putting them out in any way to have stayed a couple more hours. The place was virtually empty. I mentioned I thought that was ridiculous since they were at 40% capacity. He had no response. He approached me later and said the latest we could stay complementary would be noon. Had this whole interaction not occurred, we would probably be leaving a 2 or 3-star review. I would like to note he wasn't rude, and neither was I although I wanted to be. I felt like he was, again, trying to take advantage of us when it wasn't going to hurt his business at all to help a customer. I also never mentioned the issues with our room. Maybe I should have. The good: The facilities outside were nice. Pool, bar, turf area in the center were all well done and decently kept. The restaurant was also very good. TLDR: The room was very poor, and we felt taken advantage of and nickel and dimed by customer service. The pool, bar, beach access, and restaurant were nice.

I remember this place from a visit over 10 years ago and judging by the room I stayed in it hasn't been touched in at least that long. The rooms here are barely glorified roadside motel quality and the management should be embarrassed. Broken tiles, broken furniture, stained sheets, moldy bathroom, hair in the bathroom, etc. not sure what the $45 "resort fee" covers but that's a complete joke. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

My friends and I took a girls trip here and we absolutely loved it - great atmosphere & great vibes but the staff is what stood out the most to us. From the moment we got in there, everyone was extremely friendly. Hannah & Charlie at the beach bar were amazing, 10/10 service and attentiveness, gave us exceptional service and overall just were super friendly. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone visiting. Hannah & Charlie - thank you, y'all were the BEST!!!! My gfs and I will definitely be back.

I would majorly recommend! Had an amazing time. Beautiful rooms. Next to the beach. It's heaven let me tell you. Also great service from all.

$50 a day activity fee and no coffee in the room. You would think they would have coffee for you in the lobby but I did also it's four dollars for a black coffee and you get the privilege of walking through the rain and then waiting in line to get it. You also get the available over priced wheat drinks at either of the two bars, but they do include two greasy sweat stain chairs that you can use for the beach, but if you want any kind of shade, it will cost you dearly even though you're paying $50 a day on top of the nightly rate which is pretty steep for these marginal rooms. We liked the Bonaire and Miramar far better.

We won't be back. SOME Staff did what they could when they could. Dave (Lobby Bar in the morning), Hannah (Beach Bar) - Kudos. Food - Kudos. Literally EVERYTHING ELSE is why we won't be back. Short of it: PROS! Dave and Hannah - FIVE STARS (hence 1 Star) FOOD- FIVE STARS (hence 2nd Star) CONS- ABSOLUTELY EVERY OTHER ASPECT OF OUR TORMENTING, UNCOMFORTABLE, STRESSFUL, INVOLUNTARILY WEED INFUSED weekend. DETAILS if you want the read- Room - Dated, "Kinda Clean", Never got below 71 degrees regardless of what the AC was set at. Had to sit sideways on thee toilet it was so small the paper roll holder kept you from setting forward. DEFINITELY NOT worth what we paid. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Front Lobby - Check in person was TERRIBLE. Slow, unhelpful, snide. ONE person in front of me (was there when I walked up) and FORTY MINUTES LATER I was "checking in". At times there was a security guy out front of the lobby directing the DROVES of LYFT drop-offs around the side property to the alleyway for the beach vs thru the lobby - I think they realized the futility and gave up. Pool - same DROVES (with no wristbands - you are supposed to have a wristband to show you are a guest or day pass holder)...ended up in the pool, sunny day, hats on backwards and the most repeated words of the day were "BRO!" and "BOUGIE" "BASIC B!TCH" over "boots in the dryer beats" that were 50 yards away but still SO LOUD you simply could not talk to the person next to you. The pool was basically a dirty, inner city free for all. Felt "nasty dirty" after getting out. I think the number of other people's washed out hair extensions clinging to me as I climbed the stairs had something to do with it. Atmosphere - NOT a place to go for a relaxing "non holiday" weekend. ...You want to see ass cheeks "twerking", simulated BJs by the bar "to the music", F-Bombs on the sound system and "Yay"! I'm 21 now!" parties (there were 4 simultaneous on our Saturday". Have at it. ...Not to mention people blazing weed with fatties as big around (and as long) as my middle finger on nearly EVERY aspect of the property, even sitting RIGHT NEXT TO THE LOBBY ENTRANCE from the courtyard. Literally we COULD NOT GET AWAY FROM IT. Security - totally ignored it. We are drug tested REGULARLY at work. We even went to the property NEXT DOOR for early dinner on Saturday - the weed "CLOUD" was VISIBLY DRIFTING from the Postcard Inn. WE SAW IT COMING before we smelled it. A FULL PROPERTY OVER! ...Saturday afternoon was simply horrible. Over an hour to get drinks, literally reminded us of "MTV Spring Break" garbage you see on TV. BARS - We are drinkers, have worked in the industry, "KNOW the challenges" so to speak. Dave (Lobby Bar in the morning), Hannah (Beach Bar) KUDOS to you both. Job well done. The rest could learn a LOT from these two. OTHER THAN THESE TWO- ...I'm running a tab on my room; "NO, I don't like running tabs on peoples rooms I'm cashing you out as you go". TRANSLATION I cash you out every time, you TIP ME EVERY TIME instead of the end of your tab. ...Lobby bar in the afternoon when the drunks start filtering in...YELLING at the bartender (or someone sitting NEXT to them) about something insignificant "BRO! How do you spell VOLS BRO!?!?!" to the guy with a TN Vols shirt on in the next chair. And the bartender YELLS something "quippy" at the same volume or LOUDER only encouraging the behavior in what is easily an ECHOCHAMBER. ...Can I get some drinks down here please? Been empty for a bit (bar had minimal people) "Uh, can't you see I'm talking to some people?" Which we DID see, which was why after 10 minutes of them standing there doing so we interrupted. ...Saturday afternoon unless I was willing to turn my ball cap sideways or backwards, wear a thong, so my ass hung out, bikini top with my nips showing, or had a 25yr old group of 10 group all LITERALLY SCREAMING at the bartender for "MORE SHOTS YO!!!"...yeah - no service. ...End of the DJ timeframe, 7-9pm...beach bar FULL of TESTOSTERONE, screaming, slamming stuff onto the bar... TOTALLY lacks control. Once more...SPRING BREAK with competing Frat houses. No shut down, no intervention, no cut off, NO THANKS. Predatory "Meat Market"...wife and I "stepped in" TWICE for young women being MERCILESSLY ACCOSTED by drunk dudes who thought they were either Vikings or Back ups for Duck Dynasty cast. Staff did NOTHING for the safety or security of these young women...who were VISIBLY frightened at the situation they found themselves in simply by WALKING UP to the bar to order a cocktail. We simply won't be back.

Stayed over two nights at a completely full resort. We're considering this "the last resort" as it was the last available resort at the beach. Two nights cost about $600, which is fine considering the business of the holiday. Three good things: (1) excellent pool - the only redeeming quality, (2) things to do like chess and even ice skating, and (3) though completely full, it didn't feel crowded. Now the bad: (1) dirty rooms, (2) USED CONDOM in the bathroom, (3) room not renovated and no one cared - furniture destroyed and unclean, (4) no housekeeping because they "are worried about COVID" but only two employees of the dozens we saw with a mask. The lack of concern about the room is obvious... other hotel goers even added their photo to the wall... no one noticed. And (5) we pay a resort fee... that means you are entitled to chairs for the beach... except you aren't if you head toward the beach at noon... then you're out of luck... but why charge a resort fee if you don't have 2x the room numbers in chairs on the beach? Not staying here ever again... but the pool was nice and watching the volleyball players was fun... that's life at "the last resort."

We booked our room with early check in and checkout as part of the booking. I call the day of checkin to see when we could checkin. Talked to a male who was rude and said no early checkin didn't care what booking. Com promised. I asked for manager only to get same male who couldn't hear me because "bad connection" until I said I'll call back and ask for General Manager....mysteriously he "Steven" could now hear me!!! Same crap didn't care. So I called Booking and Mustafa was Great!!! He called Steven and now we could checkin early. It was our anniversary and something special was suppose to be in room. Nope nothing at all thanks Steven for nothing!

We stayed for a weekend. This place is a bit big for its britches. They charge resort fees of $45/day but it's not much of a resort. We had overzealous security guards tackling drunk young girls. We had shoddy poolside service (hard to flag someone down and then we had to bus our trash away). We wanted to invite some local friends to hang with us for the day but the Wristband Police informed us that each guest would be paying $75 EACH (!!!!!!!) for the privilege. Drinks at the poolside bar are $15(!!!). Food is meh. The room floors were quite sandy. We were unable to adjust the temp in the room. There was no conditioner and light bulbs were out in the room. If you're going to say "resort" and charge a daily fee for that at checkout, then it oughtta feel like a resort. Each of those items I mentioned is fixable. Attention to detail is lacking, and next time we look for a place to host a family gathering, it won't be at Postcard Inn St. Pete.

The room was dirty, unkempt and prehistoric. The tile floor was dirty and I seriously doubt it had been washed in months. The furniture was stained, marred and scratched big time and looked like it came from a donation sight. The bathroom was flat out disgusting. It had an old cast iron tub that was rusted and stained and the drain was plugged so you were standing in 4" of dirty water. The bathroom door did not lock and was dented as if someone had punched it in. Everything in the bathroom was patched piecemeal and totally unprofessional. For just short of $300 a night my view was a paved parking lot. They supplied some sort of shampoo body wash combo that didn't even suds up at all and was gross. I complained about the state of my room and was told it was all they had despite my having a reservation for over 3 months. The front desk personnel is obviously well schooled in making excuses for the condition of the rooms. I took pictures of everything. I will say the staff is very polite. I saw some reviews that were complimentary, but I believe they must be fake given my experience.

This place is an absolute joke. I booked through a third party for $800 for 3 nights on Oct 20-23, 2022. When we arrive they inform me that it will be another $452. The lady at the desk also informs me that "I've been upgraded because they overbooked" so they put me by the pool and bar. I had intentionally reserved a room away from the pool and bar because I didn't want to hear the noise. Upon arrival to the room, we were less than impressed. The room is small and the AC doesn't work. The bathroom door looks like a dog ate it and the hotel just painted over it. The fridge is rusty, there are 3 kinds of mismatched tile on the floor. The reservation was for myself and a friend, so I booked double beds and was given no choice but to take a King bed. Our reservation also said that there would be a sitting area for guests and there is no sitting area. There is no microwave in the room and the refrigerator that we have is dirty and rusty. The last night we were there they had a wedding right outside our door, then a reception. It was loud and obnoxious and we were unaware that our stay would be interrupted by the excessive noise. It's an understatement to say we are disappointed. Please spend your money elsewhere. This just isn't the place for a good vacation unless you prefer dilapidated and run down. Update: I spoke to the manager about all of the problems that I had. He informed me that I could have my $152 resort fee back but that was all he was going to cut me out of the $1000 that I paid for this room for 3 nights. I will be just getting the whole entire charge with my credit card company. No one should ever have to deal with a place like this.

My Wife and I Booked a 2 night stay March 19, 2024 and questioned the resort fee of $45 per night when we attempted to check to check in. The girl at the front desk cancelled our reservation (for not accepting the resort fee), and when we reluctantly agreed to pay the fee, she told us that the rate would now be higher. They turned us away and charged us for a 2 night stay totaling $415.81. We were on sight for over an hour and could never speak to a manager. We have called the resort multiple times and could never speak to anyone who could assist us to resolve this issue.

Loved the ambiance and the decor, but the room's bathrooms were super small and the pool was not well maintained. They rain out of towels and charges guests to check out of weird towel vending machine. The bar staff and drinks were good but it was super crowded and they just seemed to have given up on the social distancing. It's really not the staff's fault as it was the Labor Day weekend in which everyone under 25 seemed to be under the secret oath of 'Covid doesn't exist here.' I'd love to come back some other time. Definitely better for couples or younger crowd, not like for us with 2 kids.

I had a fun stay overall at the Post Card Inn. There are a few things you need to know. My only complaints: No hot water. Only luke warm, which was okay with me because it feels nice after a day in the sun. If you need hot water for a shower though, you're out of luck. Room service is not automatic, you have to call a day in advance. I never needed to call them, so I'm not sure how well of a job they do. The rooms are a LITTLE dirty if you want to get picky. I didn't spend much time in there at all so it wasn't a problem. If your idea of vacation is staying in the room all day, I'm not sure how well you'll enjoy PCI. Now for the good stuff: This hotel is extremely kid friendly. There are games everywhere (connect 4, pool, table tennis) and the pool/beach is REALLY NICE. We were here over spring break so it definitely was party central, but the noise stopped around 10pm and those that were still partying just walk down the beach to another bar. The poolside service is great. Foods decent for a pool bar but there's an amazing pizza place next door. I also highly recommend trying the "Bang Bang Shrimp" from Ricks Reef, right down the road from PCI. The resort itself is beautiful. I would call it a rustic tropical vibe. You will notice that as soon as you walk in the door. Because I was here on spring break, they also had live music and a ton of activities to do all around the resort, which was super fun. They have a stage right next to the pool for the performers. Overall, we had a blast and I highly recommend the PCI.

I am a 73 year old business woman who went to the Postcard inn with a gal friend for Friday and Saturday. my friend drive and I had made the reservation. Upon arrival I was advised that I needed my drivers license to check in - OR I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE AND THEY COULD NOT LET ME CHECK IN OR STAY THERE. I contacted a friend who took a snapshot of my license and sent it to me. This man at the counter said won't work either and kept telling me I could not stay there and check in without my license in hand. a manager finally accepted my photo copy. This counter person began to chastise me yet again. my friend said to him yes you have advised us of that 5 times already - and he got so mad HE CALLED SECURITY TO ESCORT US FROM THE BUILDING. I kid you not. TRUE STORY.....

We just stayed 3 nights. Although the location is convenient to all, I would choose one of the many other hotel options. During our stay no one every entered our room to either tidy up, make a bed or replace towels or toiletries. We did mention it at the front desk and they assured us we would be serviced the next day. Again, we needed to go to the front desk to get fresh towels. I must mention that we went during an off-season. Very few guests and yet they could not service a few rooms that were occupied.

The only thing that gives this place 1 stars would be the location. Wife and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend and I would say the pictures from the website lie. The rooms were very outdated and rundown. We left the resort to go grab breakfast and to shop for a few hours only to return to see that PCI was charging $50 for parking and beach access. That not a big deal, but when your a paying guest and they have overbooked parking.... The parking attendant seen our parking hanger and informed us the lot was full, just park in the handicap spot! The pool and both bars were packed with day guest! I'd say PCI makes more off the day guest then the people who pay to stay weekend! Unless your into the Spring Break type crowd, I'd look elsewhere.

Wasn't what I expected! Booked a weekend getaway and was looking forward to beach, pool, and a place to relax. The Postcard Inn retro concept had appeared to be ideal. Looks we're definitely deceiving. Upon arrival, we waited close to 90-minutes to get checked in. Got the key bands to the room and discovered we were placed on the back side, on the parking lot. It was dark and stinky. Online, I had booked a garden room but was told 3rd party bookings, like Expedia,offer no guarantee of room location. And, the front desk made no accommodations. But, booking direct didn't matter to the front desk either. Our friends booked direct and got the same parking lot location without the option to switch. The place was incredibly dirty, worn and torn. There were rust stains in the shower, disheveled furniture and see pics for dirty lobby sofa and broken room safety lock. Not the tropical breeze getaway place I had hoped for.

Avoid this hotel. They canceled our reservation 1 day before our trip, that we booked over 4 months in advance, saying they overbooked.

We loved this family friendly hotel! I love a cheeky, retro hotel and Postcard Inn fits the bill. It's a modern up fit on an established motor lodge so accept the retro fun! We had some trouble checking in so we got an awesome upgrade to a pool view room and I'd recommend that size room. We got 2 queen beds, couch and food prep nook with a refrigerator and microwave. Outside was 3 chairs for semi-private lounging. The room was quiet after bar hours. We loved the bar, which has pool service on the weekends. We exclusively drank Rum Runners because why not. We also tried their conch fritters which were amazing and the fries were crispy goodness. We struggled finding gluten-free and dairy-free food items so we only ate at the hotel for snacks. The pool was the star for our family. It's huge. It's heated in the winter. It has a ton of loungers. It was great. No complaints. The free parking was easy in and out. The grounds are gorgeous at night. They have a fire pit and outdoor games like pool, jenga and ping pong. We did have a problem with ants on the first night but they were quick to change our sheets and the ants didn't come back. I can't recommend this place more to families. It's perfect!

I actually MUCH enjoyed my stay at the Postcard Inn. The hotel is lovely for the price, and the inside is surprisingly CHIC. This being true, their customer service is uh, ROUGH lol. Allow me to elaborate: I never received a final invoice upon check out. No biggie, but I needed it for reimbursements. So I called, but was placed on a NINETEEN minute hold lol, true story. When the man picks up, he says "how can I help you" without apologizing lol COOL. I explain my situation, and he attempts to help. While being INSANELY rude to me, dude man proceeds to tell me there is "no record" of that name. I tell him have a confirmation and check in number, which he tells me "won't help." I tell him I have the receipt from my credit card, which lists my name as my SAME NAME. Again, he says (without explaining) that it "wont help." Then, he says "he doesn't know what I would like HIM to do about it" after treating me like I was deaf, dumb, and r*tarded for not knowing my own name. Then, I'm "graciously" passed to Accounting (thank god) where things REALLY GET FUN. The STAFF at Postcard Inn had inverted my first and last name. Then the STAFF at Postcard Inn grossly misspelled my email on file (literally don't know how this is possible with it written in front of them from booking.com). That is why I was not sent a reciept; that is why I did not recieve a final invoice. Again, these things are FINE and NORMAL things in the world we live in these days (tear falls). But the way I was SPOKEN to should never be. Especially when asking their CUSTOMERS to take time out of their days to clean up THEIR administrative mistakes. Truly unacceptable. It is my sincere hope Postcard Inn does better, as it should go without saying it is THEIR failure. They are grossly understaffed, they grossly undertrain the staff they do have available, and your customers FEEL it.

Support from front desk staff is non-existent. Phone calls get dropped while holding to wait to talk to someone. Prior to the trip I tried to call to make an adjustment to my room and had to message the place on Facebook to even get in touch with someone. The pictures look nice, they certainly have some good photographers and social media support but it's way over priced for what you actually end up getting which is frustration and the "I got scammed" feeling

This place has definitely gone down hill. Check in took a long time. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very nice but clearly overwhelmed. The properly itself is great. They have outdoor games and a fire pit. The pool is decent and the beach access is great. Although we were guests of the property we weren't allowed to set up our chairs and umbrella and were forced to go to the public beach area by the staff. They didn't have any of the guests ones available. The rooms...well horrible. The pictures on the website are not an accurate representation. Our bath curtain was full of mold, the bathroom is extremely small ( One person at a time for sure)the room is outdated with furniture that looks like it came from a donation bin, damaged and falling apart. Minimal lighting and the wall paper was peeling off the wall. The tub was stained and didn't drain so the dirt and sand would be trapped at your feet. The A/C barely worked and when it did the smell of weed fro mother other rooms drowned you. They allow hundreds or party goers to enter the tiki bar area and it's extremely difficult to walk from your room to the beach. The party goers leave the place trashed every night and you wake up to beer cans and all sorts of trash in the bushes and pathways. They linger around the lobby for hours even after the DJ leaves causing chaos. On our second night the noise didn't stop until 4am. We have stayed at many beach hotels and have been coming down to St Pete beach for over 20 years and have never seen a places like this. We contacted the front desk upon arrival and were told this is their typical room and they hoped we were happy with it......Save your money and book somewhere else.

Has a major spring-break-ish PARTY SCENE on weekend (we were not here on weeknight). Make sure you are up for it! If you are looking for a relaxing laid back beach vibe do not stay here. Only stay here if you are up for VERY LOUD house music throughout hotel, starting at 9am! There is no escape, speakers outside each room. Hotel & rooM is super cute design, but worn and needs a refresh. The floor didn't feel clean. Location is great with beach access, chairs for guests. There is great coffee in a shop in lobby, brunch ($23) that we didn't try but looked good. The grill at the beach bar is limited for food, but there are a few beach bar/restaurants a short walk along the beach.

Stopped in for some cocktails. $10 for parking Happy hour for bud light drafts only Mon-Fri 2:00-7:00 $2.50 Average $8 for a cocktail Watermelon Icy Pop was delicious They were out of the frozen lemonade Great view with some large chairs outside and minimal seating near the bar. They do have a couple picnic table areas with umbrellas to sit at.

My friend was invited by The Postcard Inn to have her birthday party there. The sherifs, that were hired by the hotel as security, harassed one of her guest for smoking cannabis. They arrested him on the spot for having his prescription medication on him without the paperwork. The officers refused to call the pharmacy to verify. This ruined the atmosphere and the birthday party ended. The hotel was the one who reached out to her, a cannabis event organizer and nurse, it is ridiculous that they would the harass anyone for smoking.
