Cool drinks, great games, great music, vintage atmosphere! Cool date night. Took my wife while on a honeymoon trip. She liked it. Parking was hard to find but worth it. Took the wife here while on a honeymoon trip. Was added to the date night activities.

What a great place. Years ago, I brought a rock band here when bar hopping after their concert (Alien Ant Farm!). We had a great time then, and the place is still great. Returned for the first time in years to play some pinball, and it was great. They always get the newest machines, I was there for the release of King Kong pinball. Very cool, I will be back!

Absolutely amazing place to relax, have some drinks, and play some games. Great simple selection of beers, goofy/fun mixed drinks (not my thing though), and plenty liquor to enjoy. Games are a good spread from old to new. Taken care of as well as a downtown bar with tons of people abusing the machines non-stop can handle. Staff is super friendly and attentive, especially when it's slow and they can chat. Yeah, they will actually have a conversation with you! So many don't these days. Hayley and Hanna are easily best bartenders in Denver! These ladies pick up on jokes and join in the silliness of complete random strangers on the daily. Just walk in and be like "So glad at least one of the best bartenders are here" and you're promised a good time! The. Best. Period. Greg is cool too.

We went to 1UP Arcade Bar & Eats as a company Christmas outing and had an awesome time. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, the games were great, and the staff were really nice and welcoming. It was a drama-free night with good vibes all around, which made it perfect for a work event. Everyone had a great time, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for group outings or just a fun night out in Denver!

1Up Arcade is our GO TO spot every weekend we come to Denver. Guaranteed good time that NEVER misses.

We had so much fun inside this very interesting venue & you should definitely check it out if you’re in the area but our bartender was so incredibly rude. Hayley honestly the worst customer service I ever received. She scoffed at us TWICE for standing at the bar while she ignored us and walked by us six times. She double serviced someone without getting our drinks or even taking our order. Cool place, needs better workers for sure but overall until that, VERY COOL.

The drinks were way over priced and incredibly sugary. When you change your money, they give you tokens not quarters. So I have a purse full of tokens because I put a 20 in. The staff was not very friendly. It definitely needs a good cleaning. But the selection of games was fantastic. Most of them appear to be working. The bathrooms were not kept very well, however.

Great spot, good variety of games. Feels more like a dive bar featuring a great arcade rather than a kid arcade spot that features a bar(way too many arcades take that route). The fact that this feels more like an adult spot automatically makes it my go to arcade spot.

As a fan of both arcades and bars this combo nailed it! I just really like the divey vibe and the old school selection of games. Really think this place deserves a higher rating. If you like barcades definitely check this one out!

Awesome little retro arcade! Drinks and slushies are fun (sweeeet) and the staff were helpful, especially when we wanted to buy a tshirt and couldn't find the size we needed. Tokens are a pretty good value (i got them with a drink for a discount) We wouldn't spend more than an hour or 2 though because the game selection is smaller at the location we went to, but it's a good pitstop to meet with friends!

This place is always lively and fun. I especially enjoy pinball and it's still so cheap to play ! It's also a great place before or after going to a show. Crystal loves the racing games and basketball! We also love to play jenga with our friends even came here for my birthday once just to do that. We often hit up skeeball and ninja turtles! There's an area in the back to go sit down as well and have a drink or a bite. There's fun things like mystery shots and a fun cheap happy hour here too! They have a slushy machine and lots of fun drinks including NA options! The people working here have always been friendly and fun and it's one of our favorite places to go to in Denver!

We did a Santa pub crawl on December 13. This was a spot we visited during our outing. This place had a great vibe and such a great selection of games. All in our party had a blast. The service was quick and they were friendly. I love when I can enjoy a good cocktail while playing a mean game of pinball.

Dope little hideaway. Throwback arcade games, 90s movies playing on TVs and throwback music playlist. Awesome way to spend some time. Bag of coins go far with the games. Drinks are fairly cheap and well made. They also have a solid food selection. Bartenders and super chill and attentive.

1 Up Bar in Denver was a fun spot! The location is a little sketchy, but the service was great and the vibes were really good. Games are cheap, making it a perfect stop for some casual fun. We even brought the kids since we went early, and it worked out well for a family-friendly visit. Definitely a place to check out for some lighthearted fun and good energy!

My boyfriend and I love going to 1Up for the ski ball (we have an ongoing competition.) We normally go to the Colfax location as it's closest to us. However; after over 10 visits between the bartenders and door guys... we just haven't felt welcome. We decided to try the Lodo location for the first time and the door guy, Bryce, warmly welcomed us in and told us to have a good time. Then the bartender,Kirstin, was so warm and kind and made the best drink ever for me! The vibe at this location is so much better and this will be our new 1Up ski ball location.

This is such a cool concept: Old school Arcade games and a bar. The games take quarters, and they have an atm and a way for you to exchange your dollars to quarters. Most games cost about a $1. They have a lot of pinball games. They have fighting games, tetris, ski ball, basketball, just lots of different things to choose from. You can spend a good chunk of time in there. The bartender was friendly and they have specials going on different days of the week so it's always something. They even had slushies which was a nice touch. If you're looking for something to do it's a great hangout spot.

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN HERE! We have now come a small handful of times as it is conveniently located and the two bartenders that are there every time are great! The girl with dark curly hair is always so kind and helpful! The man outside who checks IDs is really nice too! He made a good first impression and throughly checks IDs which I really respect because a lot of door people in this town hardly glance. The selection of games is good even for a smaller location- no space is wasted, the games are lined up on all walls and nothing I played was broken (minus the jump button on one character of TMNT). I love the selection of pinball! Old and new mixed of things! The Skeeball is actually in good shape and the machines are properly balanced! Which is also a big deal for me! LOVE that they have a classic Photo Booth too! There is an old TV in a display case with some vintage game stuff in it too that's really neat! They do have limited food options including yummy pizza!

Came here on a Saturday night after flight club was all booked up. It's very conveniently located in Downtown, Denver near the Coors field. Lots of street parking. Bring cash so you can exchange them for tokens. They probably have around 50 arcade games you can play and a few sitting areas. Most games cost around $0.50 to $1.50. It was very fun to come here and play some old school games. They also have an outdoor area where they have some giant Jenga. The bar is located inside in the middle of the building so you can grab drinks here. Super fun time, I couldn't see myself hanging out here for longer than an hour, because it is a very tight space and was quite dirty but it was fun. Overall, 4/5 stars

Ok- I'm biased to this place because I'm a regular. Arcade games, jenga and connect 4 outside make for a great time! Service: I have never had bad service at this place. In fact, the two bartenders who serve me and my friend regularly go above and beyond. They are extremely quick, even with a full bar, and are super friendly! Food: No full menu at this location, but they do have slices of pizza for purchase. They aren't out of this world by any means, but is your classic cafeteria-style pizza and is good enough! I haven't tried anything on the drink menu besides beer, but the beer is always ice cold and you can't beat the price during HH. $2 Coors Light has to be the best price in Denver. Arcade: Love the old-school games here. Pin-ball, ski-ball, Pac-Man, Tetris, and more newer style games. Games are extremely reasonably cost and there's enough to keep you occupied for some time. I'll continue to be a regular here!

There are a myriad of games to select from. Pin ball and video games. There were many retro and rare games like Ring King and Kung Fu. Check to photo section. There is also the basket ball arcade. You just can't put a quarter in. You will need to purchase 1up coins near the Mr T-RandySavage poster. There are many drinks to select from. This would be a great place to wear that flamingo shirt you've had tucked in your closet. The locals are pretty friendly.

A fun arcade bar with tons of game options from golden oldies to basket ball and Jenga. Lots of different seating spots to settle in with friends. The bar had a ton of drink options as well as pizza by the slice - great to see a snack option at a bar! Friendly staff, and decently priced drinks. The main negative in my opinion is that a lot of the games cost four tokens - be prepared to spend a good chunk of change if you plan on playing lots of games!

Such a cozy hole in the wall bar. Classic arcade games makes coming here well worth it. Their drink menus were a great laugh. We had time to kill before our flight back home and it was well worth spending it here.

This place holds a lot of charm. In the best dive bar kinda way. We wondered in on a random Monday night and were greeted by the literally sweetest bartender ever. She gave us a quick rundown of how things work. You can purchase a bag of 80 tokens for $20. Games range 1-5 tokens. (Ps 80 tokens between two goes way faster than you'd think. It was enough for about 2 hours of fun.) Every one of my favorite childhood games was here. They had a wide variety of drinks to choose from including multiple N/A options! We had a blast and would 100% come back!

1UP is one of the very few arcade bars in the Denver area and definitely the best known one. There are 3 locations, LoDo on Blake St, Colfax, and Greenwood Village. The LoDo location and Colfax one get confused often so make sure to confirm with your group where you are meeting! Drinks are cheap, there are 3 Jenga tables and 2 giant tic-tac-toe games outside, and plenty of arcade games inside including 3 skeeball lanes, 2 basketball games, and plenty of pinball machines. I took 2 stars off because many of the games are broken to some extent. This is including all the skeeball lanes and both basketball machines have had faulty sensors for at least a year now. Please get these games fixed and this review would easily be 5 stars!

We had fun here! All staff were friendly and helpful, good drinks, and we love video games! They have a great happy hour $5 Tito's and $5 Jack Daniels.

Never disappoints - always a blast. We've been coming here for years and it's always a fun place to bring people coming to visit us that's a little different from just a regular bar. We love games so it's totally up our alley. The service is always excellent and friendly and adds to the enjoyable time here. We love the laid back fun attitude here. We also love the affordable prices for games and drinks and really hope it continues to keep that model. It's definitely a favorite Denver staple of ours

This spot is a lot of fun. Come with friends or on a date. Classic video games fill the space leaving you entertained for hours. I recommend visiting next time you're in Denver.

Such a fun place to go with friends. The drink options are plentiful and they have such fun and delicious specialty drinks that give a great arcade vibe. The bartenders are all very kind and work hard a quick. I am surprised with how clean everything was. I've been back a couple times and it never disappoints.

HELLLLOOOOOOO NOSTALGIA!!! 1up definitely set the mark when it came to this place! My god!!! From the games to the music this place took me back like I was 12 on a gt dyno going to James games in upland ca after school! I don't know where to start but I will say this place definitely hit the mark. Adult jenga, connect four, I swear if they get Michael Jackson's moonwalker, I'll lose my ish! lol. This place is a vibe and definitely a place you need to check out! Halley my bartender was AWESOME and she's also a fellow metal head who can refer you to the cool spots to check out regarding music . I definitely plan on coming back here. I hardly give 5 stars but this place definitely deserves this . I mean look at my pictures go in there and prepare for your Time Machine!

Great pinball games and cold beer. Games played like they were supposed to and were well taken care of. Many options for drinks and the beer was cold. Definitely will be back.

Lots of vintage games and many pinball games. The drinks are good and they even have slush puppy mixed drinks. The atmosphere and vibe in the bar is good and the employees are friendly and helpful. Been here twice now and plan to continue to visit this bar into the future.

This is a cool, yet cozy, arcade bar located a few steps from Coors Field. It fills up quickly, so if it's busy, like it can be after a baseball game or other event, an entry line can form. I got caught in the line, but I didn't have to wait long. I walked in after about a ten minute wait. There are games. Most of the old 80s and 90s arcade games are there. Pinball, too. I loved the life size Mario Kart racing pods. (On your marks, get set... GO!!!!!!) Skee-Ball and Pop-a-Shot are also available if you're wanting something interactive. There is booze. Draft and canned beer are for sale. Spirits and mixed cocktails are, too. Everything is priced like it is being sold in a bar in a popular entertainment district. I didn't see any food options, however I might not have looked hard enough or I may have visited too late. Staff, while busy, was friendly and professional.

Forgot to leave this review around Christmas time. Great bar, I recommend. I can't remember the bouncers name but he went the extra mile to help give 2 tourist directions and recommendations

This use to be a great place I think it's just been poorly maintained the games have decreased and doesn't seem like they'll be replacing them anytime soon they don't have any of the new arcade machines that are still available and being made that I play at a bit bigger establishments like at Boondocks and Dave and Busters and to be in the center of Denver nightlife closing at 1 is wild lol

Love this place and the games. But the girl bartender was super short. While trying to order our 3rd round before we left and she skipped over us because she wasn't sure what we had previously order and neither did we. Also she was in the middle of a rush which wasn't a problem and we were very patient in waiting, but it was Wednesdays and I'm sure they don't have many rushes in the middle of the week. Also we had the discounted drink which I had asked her for the same drink and after she repeated it to me the third time I lost my patients and just left.

I've been to a couple 1Up arcades. Most are very similar instructure and the feel of the interior (tend to be dark, more like a bar -- which makes sense, because they house a bar). This location is shaped like a horseshoe. There is a U-shaped bar inside it, but it is squared. It creates "chokepoints" where a couple people standing next to each can block the access to go around. It isn't terribly large because the bar takes up a healthy chunk in the middle, so when a group of 4 stood at the bar that was right in front of the entrance, you couldn't easily get around. As for game variety, they have Tron and that is the one I like all the time. There are a couple skee-ball games. Not many 4-person games to play, but a healthy dose of 2 player games. Almost the entire left hand side as you walk in are 4-person Mario Kart and the pinball machines. Not a bad selection of pinball options -- newer and older -- but the actual number of them is on par with the smaller 1Up Arcades I have been to. My wife did get a drink (rum and coke). It was a bit spendy ame light on the rum. Also, this place doesn't take quarters; the machine still talk about a "coin shortage" and give you tokens. C'mon, guys -- we all know the token are worthless and you just don't want to give customers back money. You end up trying to spend all your tokens because unlike quarters, they are worthless outside of the arcade. The biggest issue is the layout makes it difficult to walk around and the overall selection of games is lesser than other locations. My wife and I had fun there, but it meant people all around us most of the time (except by the pinball machines where there is a little more room thanks to a small seating area). The drinks aren't anything memorable. It was hard to find enough fun titles to spend a $10 playing games and it makes no sense to take tokens home with you (instead of quarters), so you'll likely slightly overspend. It isn't a bad place by any means, but it is only worth a short visit.

A unique and fun experience to try once. This bar is underground and is filled with tons of pinball machines and a few other arcade games that surround a bar. The loud music and good drinks and fun games is the staple of this bar. The area was kinda small and no decor anywhere, I felt claustrophobic in this chilly basement. Overall it was a fun experience but doesn't have much of a revisit value and gets boring rather quick

Me and my friend from Ohio tried to get in on a Friday night at 6pm. There was basically nobody there and when the bouncer asked to see my ID, he turned me away. My friend, who also has an Ohio ID, showed hers and the bouncer looked at hers, scanned them, got the ok by the scanner, but then proceeded to turn us away saying he cannot let us in. Very unhappy with that when bro clearly knew they were real after we both showed the exact same ID's

Been here quite a few times. Located close to coors field. Two large jenga games outside. It's pretty cramped inside. Only two pop a shot and two skeeball games. Nowhere to put drinks or anything. Always hard to park downtown. Overall it's an alright time.

So fun! $20 lasted us around 3ish hours of play. Drinks were also good and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Took our kids there during the day to beat the heat on a Saturday. Fyi you can take kids to this location (not colfax location) anytime before 6:30pm. Everyone was super nice. Patrons leaving kept giving my kids their leftover tokens. The bartenders were amazing, and bang for your buck on the games. A quarter for skeeball you can't beat. Daughter even loved the cheese pizza we got for her on our way out.

Bucket list bar to visit when in Denver!! Located centrally on the bustling Blake Street, This bar is an awesome place to grab drinks and hang out with your friends. Imagine an adult Chuck E. Cheese or Dave and busters!! When I arrived around 9:30 PM there was not a line but there was a line shortly after. There are a ton of beverage options and even really cheap and large drinks!! In terms of games they have everything that you would imagine, pinball machines, basketball, arcade games, Mario kart, ski ball, and my personal favorite time crisis three. The games vary from $.25 to a dollar each game. Make sure to bring cash because you need to get tokens. The space is a bit crowded and a little dirty but is a great time.

Unfortunately a very upsetting experience. I came here with my father on my 30th birthday. We had a great time until we left our Gattaca game to grab a drink. A lady cut in front of the line and words were exchanged, she returned to her proper place in line and we grabbed our beers. Later on security came to say my father touched her butt and assaulted her. They showed up a 2 second clip that showed my father putting his hands straight up after she moved in front of him. When questioned staff told us we simply had to understand their situation. We left embarrassed and saddened on both our birthday weekends. This has put a huge damper on our experience in Denver.

Their employees are disgruntled and unable to communicate. I got horrible service and I would not recommend going to this location or any other location associated. I've been to many game bars and this is by far the worst.

I came here while visiting friends and met up with more friends in town too. Everyone had a great time. We each played various games, enjoyed beverages, and hung out on the Jenga porch for hours. The staff was super nice and helpful, as I wasn't sure at first if my kid was allowed at this bar/cade. They warmly welcomed kids until 7pm, when it transitions to a 21+ situation. This was a perfect meet up place for us and I had a lot of fun here

I ALWAYS love this place. I brought a couple of friends visiting from out of town here. The games are great and after having gone here between 7 years without any issues I can assume that they maintain their games very well. Their Pickle Rick drink as flavorful and strong. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for Bloody Mary lovers. The pizza was also delicious! Great place, consistent and fun.

I love this place; it makes you feel like a kid again! Make sure you try the Peperoncino shot; it's dangerous.

My husband and I stopped in here to play some old school video games. There was plenty of options ranging from a quarter to a dollar. If you need cash they have an ATM on site with a change machine. We had came here on a Monday night and we were probably about the oldest people in here. However, that did not stop us from having fun. There is a bar and some food options if you desire.

I'm a huge nerd! Going to this bar was a no brainer for me. Video games - Yes please! They had the classics such as Galaga, Centipede, Ms. PacMan, Donkey Kong, Tetris, and a bunch of pinball machines. Most of us were at the bar and spent most of our time there but I snuck in some games. The bartender was awesome! She said her name was Nicco (sorry for the typo!). Coolest bartender I've ever met. Drink menus lit up so you could see in the dark. They serve these mystery shots if you don't know what to order or if you just want to take your chances The space wasn't super busy on a Thursday night but there were still crowds. Not bad of a space to hang out and chill. I would definitely come back to enjoy the cool atmosphere. Not too much seating unless you go around the to the other side of the bar for tables.

1Up is always a good time, pop a shot high scores are always goals. The machine on the right doesn't accurately keep score and that's annoying. Use the machine on the left. Good drink options, friendly bartending, and games. What's not to like?

Went for a friends birthday, bartender was super friendly guy. The vibe was great, I personally liked this location more than the colfax location. Drinks were good too. Definitely will be back

Loved drinking and playing arcade games here with friends. I didn't get food but looks like this place has everything for a night out one stop shop.

Fun place as I remember several years ago recommend location although a few of the games were non op. Which made me sad. Cheap drinks and fun experience to show off to anyone who has never been.

Can't lie, I relived my childhood last night. How long has it been since you have played Galaga, the greatest game of all time? Well for me, over 25 years and I just couldn't stop smiling. I had never been in here and it was just curious so we went in. They were jam packed with pinball machines and vintage arcade games from Tetris, Mortal Kombat, Pac-Man you name it. The staff was great and sanitizer was everywhere along with someone constantly wiping down games. I felt pretty safe covid wise and left with a huge smile on this place. I highly recommend coming here if your in need of a fun night. ** Kids are allowed in before 7:00 pm**
