The Farmer's Daughter

I heard about this Garden Center/Farmhouse online and it sounded interesting so I drove down from Mass. It was well worth the trip esp if you love Christmas decor! Each shed was Beautifully and uniquely decorated for the holidays, we spent a couple hrs there. I’ve never been to anything like it but can’t wait to visit again in the spring!

Such a fun stop for fall! They have great flowers, pumpkins and more. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful. They also let our dogs walk around which was fantastic. They loved it as much as we did! Looking forward to coming back soon!!

Gorgeous - I can't say enough about how beautiful this garden center is. It's more than just plants, shrubs, succulents, and garden statues. It's gifts and books and a wonderful way to spend an hour or two browsing and planning

The Farmers Daughter always has beautiful plants, unique home decor and intentionally designed greenhouses. Even if you don’t purchase anything, it’s fun to walk through the greenhouses and get some creative inspiration. The staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable about all of plants. It’s nice to see them work as a team and work quickly to keep their many customers happy! A very nice guy helped me pick out a Japanese Maple to add to a spot in my yard that I wasn’t sure what to do about. He offered multiple suggestions and asked good questions about how much sun and shade the area gets. I wish I could have had him plant it for me! Ask for Mack if you go, he was so kind.

Visited the Farmers Daughter for the first time today and had a delightful time walking around and picking flowers! Definitely worth a visit!

We went yesterday 11/24/23 to get a tree 🌲 and ended up with an absolutely beautiful tree! I also went into their additional greenhouse bays and got some faux wreaths I plan to put over the mirror with beautiful ribbon. As a tradition in my family, I always get an advent calendar but this years is BEAUTIFULLY shaped like a wreath! I’ve never seen on like it 🎄🤗♥️ It’s a fun experience for the whole family. My mother-in-law and I had a great time checking out each greenhouse (which was filled with beautiful holiday items). This feels like farm-meets-boutique in a very relaxed yet elegant way! 10/10 would recommend!

This is a beautiful garden center. The fall season is my favorite and the pumpkins and decor is fabulous. Whoever decorates the barns and little shops is very talented. However I went there this weekend to experience their Christmas season and was horrified by the prices. It was outrageous and almost insulting. They had small bunches of cut greens like trimmings from Christmas trees being sold for $18 !!!!! And a decorative pillow shaped like a Christmas tree for $75 !!! That is just 2 examples. I understand small businesses are usually pricey but this is over the top. Honestly I would try not to buy anything from them even though it is a beautiful place.

Nestled between the highway to get to beaches (Route 1) and the main campus for URI is a large patch of greenspace called The Farmer's Daughter. Depending on how a garden/plant business is decorated, it might earn the title "garden center" or "floral shop." The Farmer's Daughter is something more than this. There are different Quonset Hutt-styled greenhouses that host various indoor plants, decorative elements such as pottery and art, and outdoor plant areas. Depending on what your plant mom/dad inspiration is, you can most likely find it here. The number of different bird baths, fruit trees, herbs, and seed packets may be fairly common to the garden aficionado, but to me, it was a whole world of discovery.
