Cute little coffee shop, randomly went and felt cozy inside. The service was amazing, the vibe of the place is awesome. Ordered basic cappuccino and lattes, and tried two of their bakery selections. Both were amazing specially the peanut butter chocolate dipped cookie. The staff is very friendly, coffee was good. Would def come back, also free house coffee (black) refills once you buy any coffee.

This is a wonderful old school bakery. Everyone is friendly, the goodies are really tasty and the coffee cup is yours all day for refills. Make sure you get in for a helping of home made Morro Bay goodness.

We stopped at Sun-N-Buns Bakery & Espresso Bar and instantly loved the place. It’s incredibly cute and full of charm, the kind of cozy bakery that immediately makes you feel at ease. We had already eaten breakfast earlier that morning, but everything looked so good that we decided to have a second one anyway. And we’re glad we did. Fresh, delicious and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a lovely spot to sit down and enjoy a relaxed moment in Morro Bay.

Came across this place 2pm on Saturday as we were walking along the shops and decided to stop for ice cream. Interior was spacious with a good amount of seating but it seemed like most people were taking pastries or ice cream to-go. Service was efficient and both people I talked to behind the counter were nice. Ice cream is from a creamery in Oregon and they let you sample some flavors. I ended up getting the huckleberry and rocky road, and picking up a couple of dog treats as well. Free wifi, great place to drop by or sit for a while.

AVOID THIS TOURIST TRAP! Just because it's on Embarcadero does not mean it's good. As we walked up to the building I was thinking the first red flag was the 100 signs all posted or taped all over the windows advertising everything they sell, or possibly the 10-days-past-Christmas flimsy decorations still zip tied to every corner of the building. But my "do not judge a book by its cover" mindset got the best of me. The HUGE red flag we should have not ignored was the wall of pungent wet air mold smell that hit my face when we walked in. The only thing that could distract us from that was the loud drum vibration of air circulation machines running over time. It's clear the pastries and treats are made in house, however during our brief stay we heard (and saw) a midsize dog barking and running around the kitchen/office area. Whoever's dog it was (worker? Owner?) was seen carrying the dog as well and seemed to be there to eat with the dog. Not sure if that's advisable? But certainly not helping the vibes. Also not helping the vibes was the industrial tarps that covered the ceilings. It felt like we had walked into an oversized tent or construction project. Same with the walls that appeared to be original driftwood planks probably recovered from the sea decades ago (not charming when used for structural integrity). The carpet was worn thin and looks like it's changed colors naturally over the years of tread marks. I walked around to look at all the trinkets for sale and was confused- there was a half stocked turn stand of necklaces from oriental trading company, shot glasses reading "Shark Bite", oil painting greeting cards from yester year and top ramen cup of soups mixed in with Kellogg cereal cups. Basically, if it can fetch a quarter, it's for sale here. The worker was attentive and efficient, but clearly not cheerful or passionate for the work. We ordered two cups of coffee, but I guess we should have specified "hot" as it was lukewarm at best. It tasted worse than gas station coffee. We stood in line to get a refund, but there was a poor tourist family visiting from Sweden that was taking a really long time and I feel bad to think this will be their impression of Californian cuisine. We ultimately walked out, threw the coffee away and went to a coffee shop two blocks up the road (highly recommend going there and not here)

Wanted to come here for awhile. Picked up a sandwich and a loaf of sourdough. The sandwich was so good!!

Came in late after a meal and the staff even though it was close to closing were friendly and the coffee and sweets were very good. I will be back early to enjoy the rest of the delicious desserts this place has to offer

Service here was great. You walk in and it's a very friendly Hello! And Welcome! We got a couple of treats to take home with us for later and a coffee and lemon bar to have there. The lemon bar had the perfect ration of lemon curd to crust and the lemon were picked by the owner herself in Visalia. There was a steady stream of folks coming in to order ice cream. I got a peach almond turnover and my husband got a snuggle. Both were very tasty and recommend this for a nice little stop if you're in town.

Dog treats vegetarian treats and super delicious old school coffee pastry and ice cream options! Stopped by for a latte and had options for dairy free. Such a wonderful staff and good coffee. My go to from now on when traveling through. Cute place really clean and artsy vibe

Been coming here for years. The staff is very sweet as well as the ice cream and bakery items. We also appreciate their hours of operation. It's a small quaint bakery. There is a little bit of seating as well. But, you can sit outside if need be in the little park area.

Everything here is sooooo gooood! The pasties, the ice cream, the coffee...everything! I love how many almond items they have. There's seating inside, which is great. It's a single standing building with everything made there on site. It's a must stop while at Morrow Bay.

My family and I loved Suns N Buns bakery! The service was great, very helpful in selections. Had a wide variety of items to choose from, especially the ice creams. Also loved the atmosphere of the place! Felt very welcoming and low key, which was great for my 6yo autistic son. Can't wait to come back!

We are so glad made a stop over here. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Everything at this place had a small town feel. Coffee was so refreshing. Pastries and cookies reasonbly priced and very tasty. Thanks to the staff here.

I saw the sign in the window that said Hot Dogs; I hadn't had one since arriving in California days earlier and I really wanted a veggie dog, so I thought I'd take a chance and see if they had one. Nope. No veggie dogs. So I asked if they had anything vegan and they said no, but the helpful clerk directed me to two other establishments nearby that offered vegan breakfast foods. Just as we were leaving, we noticed two vegan items in a case! Cookies and brownies! Better than nothing, so I got the brownie. Can't turn down vegan chocolate anywhere.

The cookies are absolutely delicious and the prices are great. Seems to be plenty of parking. Excellent service, friendly staff. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite place to grab coffee, cookies, and ice cream. This location is near the end of the strand but it's worth making it your last stop for sweets. Unlimited refills on house coffee or fountain drinks all day, fresh baked cookies, and a variety of ice cream. I got an Americano double shot, expresso chip ice cream (best flavor ever!), and some chocolate chip cookies for the road.

Very small and cozy with great coffee, and free refills for the house coffee which is awesome! Cinnamon roles are also delicious. Service is also great, as we were helped by 2 young ladies who were very kind. I'll be back!

Ordered a cookie and chocolate cone cream. The cone fream was good and hot chocolate had homemade whipped cream! Very delicious. If you're in town and have a god, they also have treats for them :) plenty of room to sit and relax and look out the window.

Looked on Yelp for a dessert place. Luckily, it was walking distance from where we ate. They closed at 9 pm and it was a Saturday night, when we got there around 8:30ish place was still packed. They had plenty of help, and we're getting the guest in and out. The service was very friendly even guest as they were leaving made sure to say thank you for their help. super nice to see. This place was right across the street from all the shops and Restaurants in Moro Bay water front. This was a super cute bakery, coffee shop and ice cream place. We love the ambulance and vibe of this establishment.

Ice cream and coffee in a teal building?? Say less. Needed an afternoon pick me up after enjoying the otters and kite festival all day. The interior has some souvenirs and local artist paintings for sale. It has like a snack bar at the beach vibe, quirky decor nothing fancy. I think the place was a-ok overall. Nothing spectacular to remember but it was busy and the service was polite. I was just so surprised to pay $9 for an affogato. Fine place to stop in but not a must visit in town.

Went through Morro Bay for the first time and saw this place was still open. It was so good! The ladies behind the counter were so sweet, pastries were delicious, and coffee was great.

Wide selection of cookies and pastries, with ice cream and good coffee. Building and decor are very dated, but that's a common Morro Bay vibe. Our dog was welcome and loved one of the dog treats. In a good area to walk around and sight-see.

My mom wanted something nice for the morning. She picked up the apple and the peach tarts, along with various other flaky treats. She left happily with a big box. The next morning, our family was thrilled with the offerings. We also enjoyed their ice cream bar. The lady running the counter was very friendly. She made us various sundaes and cones and we enjoyed them at their lovely outdoor picnic tables. For those who prefer inside seating, there's also an option to sit in their dining room.

Super cute building on the outside. Right on the main strip of Moro Bay. You walk in and there are tons of pastries, so many to choose from. Prices are affordable. It was delish.

I found this place on my morning (8-ish) stroll from our hotel, desperately searching for decent coffee along the waterfront. I initially discovered that most coffee places don't open on the main drag before about 9:00 or later! Dorothy, we're not in Seattle anymore! But, then I found this coffee oasis in a blue hut. Perfect funky coffee shop vibe! The staff is incredibly friendly. The coffee is good. Oh, and do they have pastries! Turnovers with a gorgeous, flaky pastry crust. I had apple and peach so far and delicious! Going back tomorrow am for another flavor.

My dog loves the treats! But.. the workers should be retrained. Rude. Not friendly. Girl didn't even look at me while asking what I wanted. After I recieved my change; I said: "thank you!" and her response was "...mhmmm.." *doesnt look* Hope they have a great day..

This spot is adorable! Pastel colored paint lines the external of the building and fresh dog treats are made on site. Free Wi-Fi is available and interior Decor is extremely casual and comfortable. I got a coconut macaroon and it was tender, tasty and large for only 89 cents! The staff was polite and quick to serve. Public bathrooms are available close by as well as free parking. This spot is located on the main strip just steps away from Morro bay rock. Grab your goodie to go and cruise the shoreline as you listen to the sea lions and take in all of the views of the volcanic plug.

Came on a Tuesday around noon. We ordered an iced caramel latte and hot chai latte. Service was okay. Both drinks were not good. Iced caramel latte was very watery and could not even drink half before throwing it away, and the chai latte was okay and drinkable, although it barely had any spices.

Had to stop here yesterday 4/21/24 for a sweet moment to celebrate my brother's birthday. Although he's resting in peace, he would've loved this carrot cake cupcake. It was the most flavorful and moist carrot cake recipe. The frosting was a bit sweet but hey that's not really a complaint. The service was awesome super friendly and the place is just adorable. It feels like you're home, and it's just a nice vibe. Great selection by the way this was just our choice for the day.

This place is a gem. I love the vibe. It's friendly and have plenty of seating. I bought a regular latte. It was better than average. My only complaint is it wasn't hot enough. The taste was good. It wasn't bitter or acidic and the milk was made perfectly. I also bought a brownie which was great. It was fresh, soft and definitely satisfied my craving for chocolate. My wife got a crispy which is like a giant cookie. It was crunchy on the edges and super soft and tender in the middle. It was yummy and was not too sweet at all. We recommend this place.

Yummy hot chocolate, pets (dogs at least,) allowed, and everyone is so friendly! I walked in and one of the ladies working said "welcome in, let us spoil your dinner!" Love stopping by whenever I'm in the area for a little treat just for the fun, kind vibes. They also offer a variety of baked treats as well as ice cream and baked doggy goodies that my dog goes crazy for. :)

We were in town and it was kind of cold. So I was looking for a latte and something sweet. As always we browsed Yelp and we found this place. They have different flavor lattes mocha coffees. They also have variety of pastries and cookies. We got a croissant, couple of lemon cookies for my husband. This place have souvenirs too. Variety of different things to buy. The place inside have plenty of room to seat and enjoy free wifi. The pastries were just regular. Nothing out of the ordinary. The latte was good. I will definitely look for another place to try. But not to crazy to comeback here.

The ice cream is the best! Delicious flavors and generous servings. They have a Thursday half price special which is great. The service is great too--very friendly and helpful.

I should have left a review years ago. The owner here is so very nice. Her prices are very reasonable, coffee refills all day. Lots and lots of bakery items that are made in house. Every time we've been here, the staff has been super friendly. So many restaurants along the waterfront are over priced, here the owner likes to keep things fair priced and you can see so many local like to come here. We love it!

Everything tasted stale. The coffee was awful but free refills. Sugar cookies were good. Service was fine and ambience was ok.

First time visiting this place because the name was intriguing. We had the turkey with swiss and turkey with provolone cheese croissants, a dozen cookies, and 2 coconut macaroons. Cookies were $.85 each or a dozen for $8-something. The croissants were okay and cookies were okay..nothing special. Cookies from Costco are tastier. The coconut macaroons were delish. Would wanna come back here to try their coffees though!

We visited Moro Bay for two days and came to this place both days. Ice cream was delicious and my boyfriend and I inhaled it in complete silence because perfection has no words.

This place has Black Cherry sugar Free ice cream !! This place also has many regular flavors of ice cream. This place also has an extensive bakery and lots of cookies and pastries, they all look very yummy... This place also has smoothies too. The people working here are really nice. They sell coffee cups and other items as well. This place is located on the boardwalk and in the heart around most other places. There is a parking lot next to this place, but I always like to park a few blocks away and make the walk to get some exercise.

The affogato was so yummy, the ice cream was thick and the espresso was warm and medium/dark in flavor.

The name got me!--what made it better was the staff. I was here on 10/28 @ 530ish and the women there were great--so friendly, peppy & kind. Made us feel so welcomed. Cherry bomb pastry was scrumptious. Busy but a quaint place to unwind-- found it cozy. They have some souvenirs-- I scored a polar bear cookie jar. Simply loved it here!

Cute little shop that stands out since there aren't any buildings around it on the pier. They offer pastries, cookies, cupcakes, ice cream, coffee drinks, cold drinks and cereal cups. I am not sure if the pastries are baked there at the shop or not. But they had a lot of options. Not so much on the donuts perspective but more for having unique pastries and treats like chocolate covered twinkies. I got a bear claw and a cherry bomb. You are looking at about $3-4 a pastry. The cherry bomb was good. Sweet, crispy pastry with a thin cherry filling. The bear claw was pretty average. I definitely have had better bear claws. I think I must have had a new clerk because he didn't even ask if he could help me, he was just standing there and I had to say "excuse me". He was nice but I think just nervous perhaps. I also have to comment on the fact that they did not have any hand sanitizer to be found anywhere for customers to sanitize before partaking of their pastries. It would have been nice if they had some out for customers. Especially during the mask order. There is plenty of indoor seating and it looked like that offer a back patio for sitting as well.

Stop by when strolling on the Embarcadero for a yummy sweet treat. Large variety of hoodies from cookies, pastries, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls to ice cream. Also some savory choices as well. Coffee and other drinks available. Some gun souvenirs as well. Bring the pup in for some home made treats too! Friendly staff. Parking on site available however lot is small.
