I was very happy with my stay at Fierro Hotel. Spent two nights there during a business trip to Buenos Aires, where I was able to enjoy a comfy bed and a delicious shower and relax after a long day working.
This hotel is located on the old side of Palermo, so you have a small walk to get to most restaurants and bars, but the neighborhood is safe and flat so you will have a very enjoyable walk for sure. It's also walking distance to Uruguay metro station and major streets in Buenos Aires.
Stayed in room 24. There was a spacious double bed, a desk with two chairs, a Nespresso machine (with capsules at 25 pesos for sale), an electric kettle, a safe inside the wardrobe, and an amazing shower head. WiFi was decent and worked with the same password all over the building. Everyday they would print the water forecast and leave on the top of the bed, they also brought a water bottle and a few chocolates as a courtesy. Breakfast was included in the room rate and served at UCO restaurant, they have three different options of meals to be chosen from the menu: scrambled eggs, pancakes, fruit plate or a daily special.
Receptionist and concierge services were very kind. Upon arrival they send you a link with a interactive map from the neighborhood and a few suggestions to eat and shop. Most of them speak English and were able to help my colleagues and I whenever we needed it.
I know there is a swimming pool and a sauna on the 7th floor but I didn't have the opportunity to visit neither. Would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to other people.
My only issues with Fierro were:
-- A lot of noise at night. I could hear people walking, doors closing and random noises from other floors as if they were inside my room.
-- There isn't a working area where my colleagues and I could feel comfortable to do training or meetings. UCO is a private restaurant so not an appropriate place to spend an entire afternoon working. Perhaps having some sort of Business Center or a small living room would solve this issue. One afternoon my colleagues and I spent working from my room, and used the mugs and cups. At night when I came back, I noticed someone came inside the room to leave the chocolate and the forecast, however the mess and dirty dishes were still there.
-- My room had some sort of issue with the toilet and I kept hearing water running all day long.
