Google
Outstanding Taiwanese beef noodle soup and fantastic Hainanese chicken—honestly better than most Malaysian places I’ve tried. The Hainanese chicken comes as a generous set meal with tons of side dishes, including soup and vegetables, which makes it great value. This spot is an absolute hidden gem and a staple for students at nearby Moscrop, so it’s always fairly busy no matter the time of day. On top of that, they have an extensive bubble tea menu, making it an easy go-to for both meals and drinks. Highly recommend.

Google
A little bit of a wait on a Friday night but the food was worth the wait. The noodles, one of their signature dishes, was excellent. The beef shank was tender and soup was delicious. The rest of the food was well marinated and the stinky tofu is ACTUALLY stinky, finally!!! I would recommend this place just know that the parking situation can get a bit chaotic.

This place is exactly like Myst in South Burnaby, almost feels like a sister restaurant. It's a little more expensive for similar portion sizes but with slightly better service from staff. The food also took a little longer to come out at peak hours compared to Myst at comparable hours. We tried standard Taiwanese fares like the beef noodle (3 treasure),the tomato beef noodle soup, salt peppery chicken and XO taro cakes. Both noodles had good beefy flavors in their broth, but the tomato version was a bit light on acidity and tomato flavors. Noodle textures were okay overall but the broad noodles did not have the type of firmness and chew we were hoping for. The beef cuts were generous. Salt peppery chicken is very standard, similar to Myst, but overall less greasy which is a plus. Unfortunately, the fry and flavors on the chicken pale in comparison to places like RongRong or Memory Corner. The taro cakes were great and probably my favorite of the lot! Although No.1 Beef Noodle isn't number 1 on my list, it's still a good place to go if you like Taiwanese food. I just wouldn't go out of my way to make a trip there when I can get better value elsewhere.

Google
A long-standing spot in Vancouver that’s still going strong. The beef noodle soup is a must, especially the knife-cut noodles. Rich, fragrant beef broth and tender beef every time. Taiwanese sides like salt & pepper chicken and braised pork rice are also solid. Always reliable.

Google
Ok wow! Deelish! They have something for everyone with the novel that is their menu! The broth for Jy’s was so good we both finished it totally! I would come here once a week and try something different each time. Looking around at what other people ordered, honestly it all looked good!

Google
Went here on a Friday night and the place was absolutely packed, families, couples, everyone happily slurping away. Even with the lineup, I only waited about 5 minutes, which felt like a small miracle. The menu is HUGE, so honestly… do yourself a favour and scroll through some review photos before you go. I played it safe and ordered the beef noodle soup with shrimp wontons and asked for the spicy sauce on the side, because once you add it, there’s no going back 😅. Portion was massive, flavour was amazing, and the soup came out lava hot, so don’t be a hero like me and try to dive in right away. Also ordered tea, which goes perfectly with the soup and makes you feel like you’re making healthy choices even though you’re destroying a giant bowl of noodles. Definitely coming back to try more dishes (and some drinks too!). Great spot!

Google
Always come here for the salty peppery chicken and it still doesn’t disappoint. Had the noodles with the braised beef and it tasted very watery. Still good but needed some more flavour to it.

Google
No wait time to be seated and food came within 5 minutes of ordering. Very impressed with their service speed at peak lunch time. We ordered the beef noodle soup with extra noodles and upgraded to the sliced noodles since they were highly reviewed. Noodles were a good texture and the extra serving was the perfect side. We also ordered the deep fried squid tentacles and chicken. Everything was hot and fresh!

Yelp
This was such great gem in the Vancouver area. The noodle dishes were amazing and they also had boba as well, which is always a nice option! Staff and service was spectacular as well. Such a great budget eats option.

Yelp
Im a frequent to this restaurant most foods in here are good..: Excellent service but one of my visit the female crew almost zero english and it was kinda hard to place an order but in all fairness she did everything to understand me: The pyramid rice were good and very instagrammable.Presentation of foods? 10 out of 10. No soda in this store so you will end up ordering their drinks or just go for water. Cash and debit card only. Pretty loud in here maybe because all my visits the place were full house. Simple interior design, free parking shared with other restaurants in that block. Looks like they already need a washroom make over. I recommend this place to all..excellent and affordable cuisines Kudos!

Yelp
We order take out from here a lot but it was my first time eating in. Rumours say they're always super busy so I guess we were lucky to be seated shortly after we walked in. Everything here is super authentic, BEEF NOODLE SOUP and SHREDDED CHICKEN WITH MARINATED PORK RICE BOWL is a must get! TRADITIONAL RAILWAY BENTO is also super yummy but we passed on it this time. Really wanted to try the stinky tofu but sadly was sold out.

Yelp
I visited here last Thursday for dinner. My sister and I felt like having Taiwanese food as I felt curious of what this resto was like. The restaurant was nice and clean. Pretty big menu with variety. There was a late night specials as well. We ordered Tendon and Shank beef noodle ($17.75) with double iron plate (AAA beef steak with squid tentacles, $27.25). Food was excellent. Beef noodle had tender meats with tasty soup. Soup wasn't too salty it was not bad. Double iron plate was fantastic. AAA steak melted me my mouth like cheese. So yummy and soft. Squid tentacles were nicely done too. Mushroom tomato sauce was SO salty to go with it though. Please don't get this sauce. The taste reminded me of Hayashi Rice, it was salty and ketchuppy in taste. Food was rather pricy. However it was pretty good I couldn't stop eating. Double iron plate dish was super dreamy in my personal opinion. Not the kind of restaurant I can dine out often. Dining experience was pretty worth it. Besides we didn't wait too long for food to arrive. *Two thumbs up-* cash and debit only!

Yelp
Good portion size and variety of food options to choose from. Love that you can add a drink for $4.75

Yelp
I came back for dinner on a weeknight. Not too busy around 730. Parking lot was full but fast turnover so I didnt have to wait more than 5 mins. The menu is massive. You can spend half an hour just reading the menu its a bit ridiculous. Food is still a solid 3.5-4/5. I had their combo chiayi chicken and minced pork on rice. Make it a combo with 2 sides and a small soup. Made quite a good dinner, comfort food really. This dish was great, tasted homemade. Also shared a hot/sour soup. This was disappointing - it wasnt hot or sour and pretty bland. The place is clean enough as usual. Service was fine. Casual place. this is still a solid 4/5 taiwanese place with excellent value. I prefer this place to the handful of other similar taiwanese places out in burnaby that are quite popular.

Yelp
We came around 11ish on a Sunday morning and wasn't expecting such a great combo dishes that they were offering. They have a variety of breakfast combos including toast etc. The combo included 4 items, can't remember the choices. We ordered beef noodle, fried squid, egg, fried buns, and soy milk. The other combo was fish ball noodles soup with fried chicken. We enjoyed the food very much. Service was great as well.

Carolyn L.

Yelp
I was craving for a congee breakfast and found out they have many breakfast sets on their menu. I ordered via Uber app for pick up as the restaurant online ordering forced you to upgrade the drink to a large and I didn't want that. I had the century egg pork congee with the egg custard bun and cold soy milk. All three items hit the spot. The congee was one of the silkiest and smoothest I ever had. I think I am so used to those from T&T and Pricesmart and they cannot compare to the one here. The egg custard bun was still warm and the filling just flowed when I broke it into half. Yummy. The soy milk was just great to end the simple breakfast. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes.

Yelp
https://www.instagram.com/vanleo.eatsfood1015/ Been to this one numerous times over the years , I love that they have a bubble tea happy hour between 3-5PM I believe - so don't forget to grab them drinks ! I would like to say try there beef noodles they are super tasty and great portions in my opinion - I did not grab the noodles this time around so no picture, however my old school traditional mom is a huge fan of the noodles here, so that should be saying something , since man they can be picky sometimes ! I've also had the Salty peppery nuggets and squid from here , both super amazing , on par with bubble world and such - The fried rice I had this time around was probably not the best - I really should of stuck with noodles , but had a craving for spam and rice - I found the fried rice cold on arrival , and way too salty - I feel like they failed to incorporate the natural saltiness of the luncheon meat , and added so much additional salt , that it became way to salty for me. Overall - for the noodles I'd fully suggest this one , crispy snacks? you bet ! However, drinks are hit and miss with sweetness levels , and the fried rice was a no go for me !

Yelp
We came here craving for some beef noodles. We ordered a beef noodle, half beef half tendon noodle and chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets is one of the best we had so far from the places we been to. It is well seasoned, crispy and juicy. Totally recommend ordering that dish. As for the beef noodles, the beef and tendon are very tender and the thin noodle texture are great. However, the broth and beef lack flavour. We totally want to add some salt or soy sauce into the dish. It was kind of disappointing. The staff are friendly and the place only takes cash or debit. They have a frozen good store next door which also only take cash or debit as well.
google avatar

Yelp
NOTE: Cash only under $25 and they only take debit for orders over $25 My group of three came for dinner around 8 pm on Saturday and we were able to get seated immediately. The menu here is HUGE and was way too hard to see on our phone screens, so we asked for physical menus. Even then, because the font was small on the menus, it was a bit hard to read. We ordered a couple of dishes to share and then took advantage of their drink happy hour which starts at 9 pm to order bubble tea. Food came out within minutes after ordering, I'm guessing because there wasn't much of a wait in the kitchen. We tried the following (* marks my favorites): Marinated egg ($5.75) - pretty standard *Crispy salty peppery chicken ($11.25) - second favorite dish of the night. It was fried well and had a lot of flavor Tendon and shank beef noodle soup ($16.50) - it was a bit surprising given that beef noodle soup in the name of the restaurant, but we thought this was just okay. The broth is lighter on flavor, especially after eating some of the other dishes, but started getting salty near the bottom. Both the beef shank and tendon were very tender. *House special stir fried sliced noodles with lamb ($17) - best dish of the night. They were super soft and smooth, and the lamb was very soft and chewy Fried green beans with minced pork ($15.25) - pretty standard dish Beef with black pepper sauce ($24.75 for combo) - the beef was super tender but lacking in salt. The combo comes with rice and two side dishes of corn and a leafy green on the night we came I had a basic milk tea for my drink and it was really good. My friend enjoyed his taro milk tea as well.

Yelp
Was craving beef noodle soup so I decided to give this spot a try. The beef noodles are super authentic but if you're not used to it you might find the soup a little on the oily side. The noodle and beef portions are decent.
google avatar

Nancy T.

Yelp
Favorite place for beef Noodle soup and popcorn chicken or tentacles. I would come here for the sliced noodles it has a nice and chewy texture. Soup of full of flavor and the meat is so tender. I recommend this place for anybody who likes beef Noodle soup. They have a large menu and everything tastes pretty good but I'll always get beef Noodle soup.

Yelp
This was the first time I came back during the pandemic. I went with a friend near the end of July 2021. Every dish we ordered satisfied my cravings. They have some plexiglass between tables, plus the common COVID protocols. The layout of the dining area was slightly different from pre-COVID to accommodate the new rules. Overall it was open and spaced out. They have such a wide range of menu from rice, noodle, deep fried, stir-fried, dumplings, congee, mini hotspot, hot iron plate to bubble tea. - Crispy salty peppery chicken nuggets (aka popcorn chicken) - Taiwanese style soya based seafood fried noodle - Thai style omelette fried rice with lamb Two cold appetizers came with the fried rice. They were cooked to reflect thoughtfulness. Everything was seasoned on point and authentic. The only critique I would give was that the crispy salty peppery chicken nuggets were a bit dry this time. Flavour and texture wise were great. Many people came by for their takeout orders. They offer 10% discount for self pickups.

Yelp
Last time when we visited they were still on the other side of Burnaby. Time flies! Their current location is ways off for us so we haven't dined here for quite a while. Oh my they've really expanded their menu from before! From HK-style breakfast to congee, dim sum to mixed grill they have it all!! Of course their Taiwanese offerings are still the main attraction but diversifying is always a good thing la ^_^

Yelp
I'm so happy I gave this place another chance. Place has been updated since I've last been here. Staff are super attentive. And it didn't take long to get food at the table. I got the special beef shank with wontons. With flat rice noodle. And squid tentacles. The soup was perfect, adding on hot sauce. It just hit the spot on a cold winter night. Tentacles were not over cooked, it was cooked perfectly. And not Too salty. What made me amazed was the one server that was doing the front of house, taking orders, bringing our food, and was always super attentive to every customer. She was shorter with shorter hair. I should Of got her name, but I forgot. Kudos to you, you blew my mind on how friendly you were esp with how busy the place was.

Yelp
Enjoyed comfort food @jybeefnoodle No.1 Beef Noodle House R2 Ground Pork Sauce & Sausage on Rice (Single)$12.75 The oily juicy grounded pork sauce is amazing but I found that too much oil on the rice..It would be better if less oil.. The Taiwanese sausage is very tender inside with crunchy skin. N6 House Special Beef Noodle Soup (Beef Shank, Tendon & Wontons) $15.75 The Beef Shank and Tendon were very tender and flavorful. Wontons were average. The soup base was delicious. Yelp
Unbelievable menu with delicious authentic dishes. Bustling and busy but friendly helpful service. Clean modern atmosphere.

Yelp
One of the better options for late night food, esp. if you want delivery. Beef noodle soup is a solid option here. Salt & pepper chicken is hit or miss. Some pieces will be perfectly seasoned and some will be under or oversalted and it can be soggy. If you substitute dumplings in for the meat & noodles in any of the soups, the dumplings are pretty mediocre, but it can be ok if you eat it while the soup is still really hot (don't do this for take-out or delivery).

Yelp
Updated review: I hate to give negative reviews but feel this is justified. It's not about food quality but each time we go there the party trays get smaller and smaller. We qualify as major customers - each time we go we order like $200 or more of food, mostly the family/party trays. As you can see from the attached photo, their old trays (top) are WAY bigger, at least 2x bigger, than their newest trays (bottom) - I would say 3X bigger. Even the middle square tray, tho smaller than the rectangle one, is still bigger and deeper than the latest one. The prices do not match the significantly smaller portions. The amount of food now, for $40 or more, feels like maybe at most 50% more than what you would get from a $15-20 dish. It used to be that for $40 you get a HUGE amount of food that is worth the price but it's no longer worth it at all. It feels like a bait and switch tactic to trick us into going back, but don't be fooled like we were. I think the management of this place no longer deserves our $$. We feel cheated!

Yelp
Authentic asian cuisine that opens late and is reasonably priced??? This place is almost too good to be true! Friend and I were looking for food in the area past 10pm and as we almost gave up we stumbled across this place and decided to give it a try (so glad we did!) The place was popping even after 10pm we waited for about half an hour to get seated. The menu is HUGE and almost overwhelming cuz everything looks so good. I ordered the new item, Hakka pork feet (客家豬腳). The texture is chewy but tender and I love the garlic soy sauce dip! I'd say it's very authentic compared to what my Hakka family cooks in Taiwan. My friend got the laksa noodle with a side of calamari and raved about them too. Overall, very solid place that sells almost all kinds of Asian cuisine. The servers were super friendly too even at busy late hours so huge props to them!
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Late night comfort food! A little bit expensive though but they got everything basically: bubble tea, soup, congee, noodle, you name it. Food was comfortably good and bubble tea is good too. I would recommend for those who dont know where to go to come here if you just want a safe but its still good. Tips: if you dont eat a lot bring your own container since any sauce container or any container is $0.25 each and go save the environment! Cheers!
google avatar

Yelp
The pork sauce was not very good. Very salty. Not very warm. The pickles were ok but not special. Beef noodle soup was decent. The broth was good although it tasted a little too much like Worcester sauce or something. The beef and tendon and wonton were all pretty so-so. Lots of volume, good price, open late, attentive staff, clean store, does take out, I'd go again if I had a craving late at night but I think I'd rather try other places to discover better food.

Yelp
Nowadays, I enjoy coming here for a nice bowl of beef noodle soup because the beef here are tasty and tender. Many other beef noodle places I tried are either the beef are too dried or undercooked or overcooked or too stringy or the broth is poorly done. This time around, ordered the beef shank, tendons and tripes. Also ordered the deep fried basket A appetizer. The noodle soup came hot and tasty as all noodle soups qshould be, the beef shanks, tendons and tripes were soft and tender and tasty, and the hand carved noodle was perfectly cooked. The deep friend basket appetizer was okay, but I personally liked the deep fried wiener. Overall, the servers were very nice and friendly, one of my better place for a nice bowl of hot tasty beef noodle soup. The place was clean, however, my only complaint is that the staffs need to change the disposable gloves they are wearing on a frequent basis. It's quite disgusting, extremely dirty and virus/germ spreading situation if wearing the same pair of gloves for cleaning, collecting cash, setting up and serving food. This not just go for this restaurant, but a lot of asian restaurants are doing this same unsanitary practice with the gloves since Covid. I don't understand it, who or what are you trying to protect? Certainly not the customers, rather it's the most effective way to food poison the customers or spread any germs or virus to the customers.
google avatar

Gabriel C.

Yelp
Food comes out fast, would say that their signature beef noodle was just alright - wish I opted for one that had more tendon/tripe. Also tried some of the tw sausage (not quite what i'm used to having) and deep fried tofu (average). Was great for my group and portions were decent.

Yelp
Family has been doing a lot of takeout as a result of Covid. We've been on the lookout for new places to try out now and then. No. 1 Beef Noodle House has been close enough for us to do take out. We've been hooked on it since. I think as evident by the name the beef noodle soup options are the star of the restaurant. I think by now I've had most of the options. I wholeheartedly endorse pretty much all of them. Their shank and tendon are super tasty. I've had it less often but their wontons are pretty good as well. I enjoy being able to choose the type of noodle included as well. Their rice noodles and glass noodles are my preferred choice. Got to throw out that their bubble tea servings are also solid. I've only had the black and green teas but both felt appropriately leveled in terms of sugar. Pearls are really good as well. Cannot recommend No. 1 Beef Noodle House as a great spot for Taiwanese food. The beef noodles are awesome. Definitely hasn't let me down yet.

Yelp
You'd think this little restaurant in a tiny strip mall in Burnaby may be nothing special but it was truly one of the best meals I've tasted in a very long time! We were seated promptly and immediately given a multi-page menu and complimentary tea. It was hard to make a choice but the beef chow mein and dumplings were good ones! The chow mein was perfectly cooked in a soy sauce and the beef was so tender and delicious! The dumplings were homemade and perfectly cooked - such a nice flavor and obviously made fresh. I'm looking forward to returning to try more of the menu options. In the meantime, we noticed there were frozen choices you can take home too. A must-visit!

Yelp
Christmas lunch we were in Burnaby and looking for a place that was opened on Christmas Day for a quick bite before heading home to make Christmas dinner. Found this establishment searching restaurants close by. We got seated quickly as the restaurant wasn't busy but by the time we got our food it got busier. I can't have noodles so I ordered wonton soup small size. The size of the wonton as expected and there were 8 wontons. The broth was flavourful. I liked it had some vegetables. Not sure what he ordered but it looked really good. How I miss noodles. Good place for a quick hit for Taiwanese noodles.

Yelp
Came on a Friday afternoon with 4 friends. Had the N2 noodle soup and sat ~30min until 3pm for happy hour (for 50% off milk/green/black tea). Nice space with lots of table options for groups. The menu is probably my favourite part -- TONS of options and has everything built in (including a "rules" page at the front). The beef noodle had a good amount of beef, but the soup was a little too salty for me. I definitely recommend the extra $1 for the sliced noodles. My milk tea with pearls & egg pudding & grass jelly (三兄弟) was decent, but my friend's oolong milk tea was too strong and seemed to have no sugar at 50%. Note that there's no bill splitting for happy hour, and debit only with minimum $25. I wouldn't mind coming back to try some of the other stuff on that packed menu!

Yelp
They have family size meals for fried rice and noodles. A great place to pick up food for pot lucks. The food is pretty good and a big hit at parties.

Yelp
I've been wanting to check out No.1 Beef Noodle House for a while now and was glad that I finally got a chance to check them out! They are currently offering BOGO on Ubereats and have a wide selection of dishes to choose from! Japanese Fried Rice with Kabayaki Eel - I was surprised how big the portion of the unagi was! The sweet caramelized unagi sauce was flavourful and was nicely drizzled over the grilled unagi. The fried rice was tasty but was very oily. I thought that the unagi would have complimented better with plain white rice though. Triplet Bento- This bento is composed of Kabayaki eel, deep fried chicken steak, Taiwanese sausage, and egg. I must commend on how thoughtful the restaurant was to poke holes in the takeout box so that the fried chicken can remain crispy. The sausage however, was a little dry and overcooked. Traditional Railway Bento- This bento is composed of deep fried chicken steak, pan fried pork chop ,fried egg, and sausage. The deep fried chicken steak was crispy while the pan fried pork chop was very tender. Again, the sausage was dry and overcooked. Overall, I really enjoyed the takeout and my favourite dish was the traditional railway bento. I'll definitely come back to check out their other items!

Yelp
Food: The fried chicken tasted super crunchy and it was salted perfectly. The crunchy skin was very thin and not oily at all, which is not something all restaurants can do. I also love how it comes with two complimentary veggies side dishes, which also help balances out the greasiness of fried food. The rice also has a little bit of minced pork on it to enhance the flavour, which is a bonus point. Portion: Large for this price, this was around $13? (10% off for take out). This was two meals for me. Environment: I got take out so Im not sure how it is inside the restaurant

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance was perfect. Best beef noodle soup I've ever had. My son felt the same about his pork dish. Will make this a stop every time I visit Vancouver.

Yelp
Salty peppery chicken nuggets- 5/5. Delicious. Nothing wrong w them. Light and crispy on the outside and juicy and moist on the inside Old fashioned milk tea with grass jelly- 5/5-super flavourful. The grass jelly flavour is so strong and the perfect texture. I would come by here and order just a bubble tea. Home style beef noodle soup- 5/5 I got this with thin noodle. Delicious. Flavour of the broth is amazing and super aromatic. Noodles are bouncy and delicious. The beef tendon is juicy, full of flavour, and not dry at all. Sticky rice shut mai with ground pork/3/5- Not as flavourful as everything else. Mediocre. But then again this is a Taiwanese place not a Shanghainese restaurant. Wouldn't get this again but it was interesting to try!

Cheryl C.

Yelp
This place was amazing theres alot of amazing options the service is good the atmosphere was nice its an affordable restaurant with delicious food and kind fast service this place deserves a higher rating definitely gonna visit again

Yelp
Very authentic Taiwanese food. Liked it a lot. 15% off for eating before 11am is great. Service is good and restaurant is clean. Favourite dish for me is the cut noodles stir fry with lamb. Will definitely return.

Yelp
Update Never made an official review, however today's meal was absolutely lackluster. I found no joy in two of the three dishes I normally ordered. Service is still prompt but food flavor and consistency is subpar. Hainanese chicken still buttery soft but no flavor. Side dishes were good. Peppery chicken nugget was flavor less, salt could not save the dish, the rice paring was mush and the tidbit of meat sauce was watery. The noodle which is chou hou beef was watered down, protein was good a portion was tough and no flavour. I use to look past the decorum, however the black surfaces and chopsticks look rather oily. Something to think about management.
google avatar

Yelp
are so many better restaurants for Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Few parking stalls available, and can get crowded at night. Staff are friendly and straightforward, with no time wasted to chit chat. My order: Tendon & Beef Shank Noodle Soup Beef Ball & Beef Shank Noodle Soup Crispy Salty Pepper Chicken I think the broth was the most disappointing, it wasn't very rich or flavourful. Too watered down for my tastes, and it's just very very mediocre. This place has been around for a long time, and was previously the go-to place for late night noodles and bubble tea. Large portion of noodles, and okay portion of meat. Crispy Salty Pepper Chicken was good, pretty standard. They do use quite a few leaves of deep fried basil. Overall, this place may temporarily satisfy your beef noodle cravings, but I'd recommend heading elsewhere if you want a more satisfying and flavourful broth/meal.

Yelp
Absolutely mouth watering! The broth was delicious and savoury! I love that this place is down the street from me. When the weather gets colder, I'll be back here for some hot noodle soup to warm me up. They put a generous amount of beef in my bowl and what really surprised me is how they ask if I want onions in my soup. I don't like raw onions thrown in my soup so it definitely saves them the onions and saves my taste buds from being turned off! love love love this place :)

Yelp
We decided to come by here as we were craving some Taiwanese beef noodle. If you order online for pick up, there is a 10% discount along with a free drink if you spend more than $25. I got the classic beef noodle while my partner got his with wontons. It was not bad, reminded me of Chef Hung but definitely doesn't compare to Taiwan.

Yelp
BEST BEEF NOODLE SOUP i've had in years!!!! The first sip of the broth is to die for. I savoured every spoonful of soup till the last drop. Cleaned the bowl dry. It's the only thing I would come here for and recommend. Come during the happy hour (3-5pm) to get 50% off your drink!

Yelp
Delicious beef noodles in huge portions (1 bowl can feed 2 people). The broth here is soo savoury and full of flavour and spices, the meat just kindof melts in your mouth, and the noodles are chewy and very delicious. Can't wait to come again when we're in vancouver to try their other dishes!

Yelp
No.1 Beef Noodle House is one of my favourite spots for Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup. I can eat it any day, hot or cold weather.. it's my comfort food (well, any noodle soup is). And I always have to change the noodle to the Sliced Noodle, cause it's the best. Their laksa is also quite delicious! Fiance loves the Seafood Laksa and I'm a huge fan of the Hainanese Chicken Laksa (sliced noodle with both, of course). The broth is super flavourful and the perfect amount of spiciness. Lastly, we always add the Crispy Salty Peppery Chicken as our side/appetizer. So yummy!

Yelp
Had no idea that No.1 Beef Noodle House offered lunch sets! Where have I been?? Anywho, grabbed their deep fried chicken leg bento for $13 to see if it's worth it. Given their usual prices, this seemed like a better deal already and after trying it out, I'd say yes, it's better haha. The food is always delicious of course but with the bento, you get two side dishes, half a marinated egg, the meat that picked and a huge rectangular shaped rice section haha This is so not sponsored but a bonus is if you order directly on their website, you can get 10% off for pickup orders so the $13 came to about $11.70 so EVEN BETTERRR. If you're looking for decent Taiwanese food for a decent price, try their lunch sets!

Yelp
This may not be the No. 1 Beef Noodle I've ever had, it comes pretty damn close. When my friends suggested we come here for dinner, I was skeptical but once inside the restaurant, I got pretty excited. We got here right before 5pm so we were able to get the half off bubble tea special. I also made the bold decision to order two entrees, the braised pork over rice (although i got the small bowl) and the beef noodle soup because um, the restaurant is CALLED No. 1 Beef Noodle. The braised pork rice (English translation in the menu refers to it as "pork sauce over rice") was PERFECT. I haven't been able to find a great one in Atlanta, and this was easily one of the best bowls of braised pork rice bowls in North America. The pork was marinated well, and there were just enough fatty chunks to keep me interested. The tendon and beef shank noodle soup was slightly more underwhelming, but the broth was meaty and the meat was tender. The noodles were just meh, but they gave me a good amount of noodles. I found it odd that one bowl of soup at the table could have a good amount of noodles but the next bowl had almost half that portion. Consistency is definitely an issue, even on the same order. The green milk tea with grass jelly was pretty good. Nothing special but solid. Overall, I couldn't complain about my meal in particular. It was cash only and since I didn't exchange any USD for Canadian cash, I didn't get to grab the bill on this one. This is definitely a solid Taiwanese restaurant, just make sure you order the right dishes... and wish for a bowl of beef noodle soup with plenty of noodles.

Yelp
This place is tucked into the corner of a small mall plaza. I would not have known about it if it not been referred by a friend. We had a party of 12. They accommodated us nicely. Food came in a timely manner and piping hot. Wait staff was polite and knowledgeable. The ambiance was was comfortable. At 9pm the lights are turned down ... nice touch. Parking here is a nightmare. Cash or debit only.

Yelp
Excellent Taiwanese food. Very authentic dishes. The service was excellent. The popcorn style chicken was perfect.

Yelp
The food is very traditional and definitely reminds me of being back in Asia. Huge menu and portions. Service never changed when they started getting very busy, it was great the whole time. Will be going back.
