Calan Beef Noodle 卡兰拉面

We had the # 4 ( chicken stir fry on noodles ) and the # 7 ( braised beef soup ) along with the tea. The tea was made with dried flowers, herbs and rose hip and black tea leaves. It was very fragrant and so soothing and special !!! Both dishes were exquisite and delicious ! I was amazed to the amount of chicken and braised beef they served ! Wow ! We will be back for sure!

First time ordered Hand-pulled noodles in braised beef soup. Instead of braised beef what I really wanted and what I was actually paying for I got 3 pieces of simmered beef shanks , and one small dry piece of braised beef which doesn’t look fresh at all ,noodles was cold and meat they were putting also COLD, so I have to heated up it myself. Taste was just ok. It’s so many places in Calgary where you can get much better HOT , FRESH noodle soup ..

First time trying this place and it was outstanding, literally watched our noodles being pulled right in front of us. I tried tye beef noodle soup, and it was delicious the broth was light but flavorful and the noodles were the perfect soft chewy texture. Will definitely be back.

I got the thick hand pulled noodle in beef soup. I really enjoyed the food and massive bonus was that it was Halal which meant I could eat whatever I wanted. Really kind staff, took my brother and I some time to understand their combo and how it works but they were willing to re explain as need be and were friendly throughout. One thing I’ll say is the vibes felt somewhere between fast food and restaurant, I got the vibe that most people would get the food for takeout as opposed to sitting there. 6.8/10 - stop by if it’s on your way or take a short detour

Pretty solid noodles! We ordered the Noodle in Beef Soup and the Noodle in Braised Beef Soup and both were pretty solid. I would say, the Braised Beef broth was much more of a standout. I loved the House Tea here. The way that it was steeped with the herbs had a very sweet flavour without being overpowering. I would stop just to try that!

Ate here for the first time. It was suggested I get the #5, the hand pulled noodles with minced beef and vegetable soup. I chose the thin noodles out of the four options there was. The broth in this soup was unbelievably flavourful. Needed no seasoning. The broth had tons of minced beef, carrots, potatoes and mushrooms. The noodles were perfectly cooked, al dente, chewy and delicious. The chef pulls the noodles in the kitchen right in front of you. The staff were so kind and friendly. Will eat here every time I come to Calgary!

A clean and inviting restaurant with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were professional and attentive, and the menu, though short and simple, offered excellent options. We ordered the hand-thick noodle braised beef and a side of sliced beef shanks. The braised beef noodles were absolutely delicious—the beef was incredibly tender, the noodles cooked to perfection, and the broth rich and flavorful. I requested the dish to be spicy, and it delivered just the right kick. The sliced beef shanks, served cold with a side of salt and pepper, were also excellent—tender and flavorful, making for a great appetizer. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience that I’m eager to repeat. As of this review, the restaurant serves halal beef and chicken, which is an added bonus for those who require it. Highly recommended!

Great hand pulled noodles, especially the wider ones, are perfectly cooked. They retain a certain chewiness. The braised beef is super tender and prepared as it should be. The broth is on the stronger side but matches well with the noodles. For the price, you can’t go wrong. Very surprised by some of the nasty comments left here.
