Rich Spirit Bagels

A different take on doing bagels for the Colorado area. Definitely trying to be similar to the NY bagels, but unfortunately falls short. The bagel is stuffed with cream, which is good. However, the bagel itself is hard to chew on and your jaw will be tired after eating this. It just doesn't hit on the flavor nor softness. It's worth trying, but I don't think I'd come back again.

I really wanted to like this place after reading great reviews online. Unfortunately, the bagel was incredibly dense, partially raw, and doughy. The amount of cream cheese used on a single bagel could cover 4 bagels. My wife and I had to remove 75% of it. The prices were fine and the service was good. Unfortunately, Denver really hasn't figured out bagels like the east coast. Even with high end ingredients and milling your own flour, if the technique isn't there you have nothing. Sadly, I will not be returning. 2/5 stars.

Rich Spirit Bagels is the real deal. The service is always friendly, welcoming, and genuine. No matter how busy they are, you’re greeted with a smile and treated like you matter. It’s honestly great to see them so busy with a line out the door, and once you try the bagels, you understand why. The quality is top notch. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Amazing people, amazing energy, and incredible bagels. Highly recommend.

I just left after picking up a half dozen. My students have been raving about this place as the best bagels in the Denver area. OMG it’s true. I’m from upstate New York and they remind me of a bagel shop in Saratoga springs called uncommon grounds. Super chewy. Loaded with everything seasoning(I’m wiping the left overs off my plate as I type). I could easily eat another one right now, but best to wait. Best bagels west of New York for sure. Maybe best ever?

It was great to be able to pre-order our bagels and have them ready for pickup the next day. Bagels were delicious and fresh. Having reminders sent about the order and pickup time was helpful. Even got a thank-you text with instructions on how to freeze and reheat the bagels if not all eaten on the same day. The cream cheese options were great as well. Expect a wait if buying without pre-ordering, but we'll worth the short wait.

Perfect no frills shop with a small menu and great bagels. Everything bagels actually have salt on them here, lox and schmear were on point. Lighter and less chewy than a proper NY bagel, which in some ways I appreciate due to the relief on my jaw and I don’t feel like I just ate 4 pounds of bread. They’re doing it right here, and are a lot less pretentious than a certain overrated overpriced five point bagel shop in Denver. Cute shopping center/market setup.

These bagels are by far the best bagels I have had in Denver. They do it the right way boiled first and baked after for crispy outside and a perfectly soft inside be warned, though they run out fast and close when all the bagels have been sold for the day in terms of atmosphere. There isn’t much but that’s what this place is about. There is a small variety with great spreads is about all you need in my book. As an East Coast guy from New Jersey. I would say these are the closest thing to an East Coast bagel I’ve ever tried out here. I would highly highly recommend it and I think it’s well worth the drive if you’re looking for the best product in town.

Picked up a half dozen and an order of cream cheese this morning. These bagels are very soft, with a fluffy crumb. The salted sesame seed bagel I started with was fantastic. The crust is chewy and the inside is pleasantly soft. Their house cream cheese is very mild, with a milk flavor, and soft consistency. All in all, a great bagel. It looks like their production is scaled up sufficiently, as I was able to order last night for pickup this morning.
