I’m French and have lived in Bangkok for 6 years. I was happy to visit Monsieur Ducasse’s school and enjoy some French pastries and food. So I came there with my two kids and parents.
We enjoyed the view of Nai Lert Park, and after ordering inside the “restaurant” for more than 4,200 THB (one burger, one “goujon”, two beef dishes, one angel hair pasta, and one anchovy pizza without anchovies)… quite expensive, but I expected a good meal…
Check the picture of the burger for almost 10 Euros (350 THB)… You should have called it a “mini burger Monsieur Ducasse” – it would have been more appropriate… same for the pizza, a small portion… Well, Monsieur Ducasse, with the beef served with one tiny carrot and the “goujon” which is a fish finger and chips, one would rather say that you are fully exposed to the highest inflation we’re experiencing nowadays… or maybe you’ll be affected by Trump’s tariffs, who knows?
Anyway, we recommend people eat before coming here if you plan to have lunch.
And the service… wow… do you train them too in this school, Monsieur? Because I had to ask several times for glasses and cutlery that were initially given for 3 people while we were 6… and we had to wait so long…and also when I asked at the counter what is it exactly Angel hair pasta, she replied it’s only pasta, I insisted Pasta only ? She said yes, and we got pasta with (fake) truffle cream and cheese… for my 5 year old kid who said “wow it’s smelly” and didn’t eat it… No worries, we appreciated being burnt under the sun because the umbrellas were not properly placed… À bon entendeur, Monsieur Ducasse.…
