I stayed here from June 27-28 and then again from July 4-5, bookending a group tour of Macchu Picchu.||I very much enjoyed my stay. From the moment you step into the lobby, you're greeted warmly by the receptionists (who are fluent in English, but very graciously let me practice my Spanish with them). My room was on a higher floor (it was an automatic upgrade due to my Marriott status) and I was impressed by its quality, its style, and the view, which faces the Pacific and looks down at "Larcomar," a large open-air shopping center just across the street.||The hotel's location makes it fairly walkable, and you've got a range of stores and some restaurants nearby, though you'll need to hoof it a bit if you're looking for nightlife. That was okay by me, I was mostly interested in catching up on sleep over a quiet night, and the hotel didn't disappoint. I didn't hear any traffic at all, and no disruptions of any kind on either of my stays.||There is a lounge (if memory serves, it's on a floor in the 20s, but I truthfully don't recall) with snacks and light refreshments, as well as alcoholic beverages and a spectacular view. I did not have a chance to visit the casino, but it is attached to the hotel via the lobby. When I was there, they hotel was undergoing renovations which made the reception area slightly smaller; guests were asked to check in on the first floor, take the elevator to the third floor (where many of the hotels restaurants, cafés, bars, etc are) and then transfer to another elevator bank to get to the room. I'm making it sound more complicated than it actually is, and it's very likely those renovations have already been completed.||This is just a very nice hotel in a very nice part of town. It's safe and quiet and the staff is warm and friendly. Pretty much exactly what you'd want from your experience. I'd love to stay here again.
